    Editing loot spawns

    I've been looking everywhere on these forums and the magical web on how to edit how much loot spawns on my server and when loot respawns after being picked up. Only thing I found is this <event name="Loot"> <waves>0</waves> <nominal>0</nominal> <min>0</min> <max>0</max> <lifetime>0</lifetime> <restock>7200</restock> <saferadius>0</saferadius> <distanceradius>0</distanceradius> <cleanupradius>50</cleanupradius> <flags deletable="0" init_random="0" remove_damaged="0" sec_spawner="0"/> <position>fixed</position> <limit>custom</limit> <active>1</active> <children/> As you can see I've got the restock set to 7200 but I'm not exactly sure what the other functions do. A little help please and thank you.

    Server Configuration File

    Hey guys, I've noticed that my server file for my Vilayer server has a few different/missing parameter compared to the dedicated DayZ server. For example: This is my server time setting on my Vilayer serverTime="SystemTime"; // Server Start Time // Initial ingame time of server. "SystemTime" means local time of machine. Another possibility is to set the time to some value in "YYYY/MM/DD/HH/MM" format, f.e. "2015/4/8/17/23" . serverTimeAcceleration=6; // Accelerated Time (value 0-24) // This is a time multiplier for in-game time. In this case time would move 24 times faster than normal, an entire day would pass in one hour. serverTimePersistent=0; // Persistent Time (value 0-1) // Actual server time is saved to storage, so when active, next server start will use saved time value. That's what I'm use to seeing and what I remember This is from the dedicated server tool serverTime="SystemTime"; // Initial in-game time of the server. Thus, in case it is set to 4 and serverTimeAcceleration is set to 2, night time would move 8 times faster than normal. An entire night would pass in 3 hours. serverTimePersistent=1; // Persistent Time (value 0-1)// The actual server time is saved to storage, so when active, the next server start will use the saved time value. The difference is the serverNightTimeAcceleration. When did this come in and if I added it to my Vilayer config file, would it work or is that a server host specific file configuration?

    I paid about the same or whatever the original 2013 release price was. $70 Playstation but in what currency? Here in Canada it's CDN$ 59.99 which is $39.99 more than it's worth in it's current condition.

  8. It's a fully released game. Do you not comprehend that? *facepalm* The core should have been in before slapping the 1.0 tag on and charging people 60 fucking dollars. This is Bethesda level arrogance shown by BI I bought the game back in 2013 when it was cheap and I don't even have the game that was advertised. There was more to do and survival was harder during the games infancy. Now we have a generic boring shooter that allows us to eat food but what's the point? Just run, get a gun, pvp, die, rinse and repeat. Zero reason to invest in a character, zero reason to collect items for survival. Vaulting, throwing, fractures, medical system, dynamic weather, freezing to death, actual diseases. 6 months and nothing. There's a reason why this forum is a barren wasteland now and that people from BI are starting to jump ship.
  9. Except it's been 6 months since release and it hasn't gotten better. Nothing survival has been added. It's players like you that keep patting bad developers on the back that allow bullshit like this to keep happening.
  10. Yet they are charging full price for a 10th of a game. Do you no see the issue here? I use to be a hardcore DayZ fanboy/defender but this release fiasco has completely changed my mind about BI and this is absolutely a poorly done project
  11. The servers can handle more "infected" I run more than triple the number on my server when I choose to turn it on. The servers can't handle more infected with sky towers built everywhere, a bazillion gunz thrown in, 100 cars ready to go and food galore everywhere. Edit: Just to add. I also don't manually restart my server every 4 hours. It runs for days until I shut it down. Nothing ever disappears and server fps is always good

    There is nothing preventing anyone from playing, except for the plethora of threads started by people complaining about not being able to start the game. Anyway, ya, there is nothing preventing anyone from playing DayZ except it's not the DayZ that was advertised

    Are you joining the exact same official server? Official share characters across servers. 3pp to 3pp and 1pp to 1pp. Persistence storage doesn't transfer with you nor do vehicles.

    It's the way of the future. Games as a service *facepalm*. Sadly, stupid people will throw money at these companies for the $19.99 Red Jacket exclusive. Hell, I can see $9.99 Survival DLC - This DLC adds survival elements to the game such as proper hunger and thirst values. $14.99 Dynamic Weather - This DLC will add sever dynamic weather that could cost the survivor their life if caught outside. And so forth

    We live in a shitty world where hopes and dreams are meant to be crushed. This game will never be hardcore now that they went the console route. The PC players basically paid for the console players to get this game
