Sounds should be balanced and fixed come beta but by no means should they allow direct sliders for adjusting different levels.
-
Uhhh, you may as well blame the devs with that statement. They're the ones who are going to keep DayZ as "tedious" as possible *rolls eyes*
-
As others have stated, once you're dead, you're dead. There is no rising from the grave as an infected.
-
Lmao, what strawman? You're the one demanding something for an unfinished game with a not fully working engine. You're so high and mighty in your belief that modding will be the saving grace for this game and be able to finish it. Get off your high horse and understand the fact that this game in incomplete and that modding will not work. Do you have a house built then demand that you put your furniture in it when all that up is frame? Lmao.
-
Excuse me? Who gives you the authority to demand that they release modding for an unfinished game? You just proved my point in your second sentence as to why not allow modding at this point in the game. Christ, some of you people just don't get it.

This is a suggestions section. Not a demand section.

You can't work with something that isn't complete. This is what people aren't getting

Mental/psychological status and their effects on gameplay
Guy Smiley replied to exwoll's topic in Suggestions
Game should not dictate the mental state of your character nor should it dictate who you should or should not kill. Terrible idea -
You're lucky that you refunded it. I bought it upon it's first release and at the time it was good. Then the hackers came, and came, and came and have taken over the steam market with the sale of ill gotten loot crates and items. Oh did I mention that the game is run by hackers?

The problem that Dean had was he was trying to take a square peg and fit it in a round hole. In other words, he was trying to make the old engine do things it was clearly not capable of
-
First off, you mention how this should be like pubg in how easy it should be to acquire firearms and immediately be able to start fighting. Second, you bring up DayZ mod but which version? The dumbed down one that was basically pubg or the actually hardcore survival game? Which leads me to my question to you, do you know what DayZ is?
-
Hmmmm, keeps getting stuck on saving so it made a duplicate post
-
Or, or, hear me out.... Wait until the game is done to see what the devs came up with. You guys with me on this?

Let’s talk about the night-time, shall we?
Guy Smiley replied to Kirov (DayZ)'s topic in General Discussion
Let's talk about night baby. Let's talk about you and me. Let's talk about all the good things and the bad things that could happen to me...... -
None of his points are true. He regurgitates the exact same comments in every thread regarding development. I'm not happy with the development time but I also understand the big change with moving to another engine. Heck, I'm even playing some alpha's that came out around the same time as DayZ with some of them completely abandoned by development. This Is all nonsense
-
Dude, just stfu and quit it. Everything you post is negative and condescending without anything to back up your stupid comments.

In GTA's case, 99% of the buildings are not accessible
-
That at least somewhat more realistic. I was getting worried that they were heading in the direction of building sky towers/fortresses and such.
-
It's still vague about the base building. Are we going Rust style base building(hope not) or the ability to just setup a bunch of tents and place them how we want?
-
I'm pretty sure people are confusing base building with barricading. I don't think there's going to be resource gathering involved where people are going to be able to build their own structures/housing. You're either going to setup tents or barricade/fortify existing buildings in game.

DAYZ Status from a famous Youtube blogger
Guy Smiley replied to GunnyITA's topic in General Discussion
Umm, it's called being your own game studio and not using a useless engine like Unity that does a half ass job of what developers want it to do. -

Please don't make shit up -
Of course hence why I asked my question at the end. There's a lot of people who post on these forums who seem to completely unaware that DayZ is in development and come ranting and raving like they just bought a full game.
-
To simplify your issues with the game is that it's not actually a game yet. Everything is being tested hence why we have bugs and broken mechanics, lack of zombies or zombies that are buggy as hell. My question to you is did you buy DayZ thinking that it's a ready to go game or were you aware that it's in early access development?
