    Why bother with 0.61? Put the whole team on Beta!? I feel no need waiting 6months for a new update and then realize no cars.. DayZ needs this: Modern feel - Playercontroller etc New vegetation - visual upgrade etc New models and textures New netcode New physics Im sorry but - "New everything" sorta suits my claim Skip DayZ development other than beta build!!

    If I just started playing DayZ your argument would be good/right. However I bought it way back 2013.. played, reported bugs, tried to get friends to play, bought game for friends, played experimental, reported etc etc. But ye, primary i sill bougt the game for fun. You "alpha testers" arnt developers you know :p

    And you must love it.. To be honest I didn't buy DayZ to help out, I bought it for the gameplay which, all polished and done, would rock. And I have had my dollars worth while many times over.. But, call me a whiner, I feel that this dosn't feel serious anymore, takes too long, too few developers and to be honest, they should have bought and engine and then start development of the game. I should shut up and go to sleep. I hope DayZ becomes what it deserves one day, I would like to fast forward to that day.

What is new: fix for client FPS drops when shooting/near other players shooting We're still working on improving server performance, which when poor can cause the following issues: Infected reaction speed may be reduced Infected can push characters through/into model geometry causing movement issues (unable to move in a given direction) Collision/Navigation in some complex structures can push your character around Issues with door states can occur Damage being delayed No vehicles in this update. We are still testing them on Experimental branch. No character wipe. If you find some bugs let me know on our Feedback Tracker. If you dont listen to criticism then you are just like modern day politicans.. You only hear what you want to hear. Also, some ppl talked about other ppl not understanding the Alpha concept.. Well, after 4-5 years I sure does not understand the alpha concept, its unike in the gaming world and anyone who is defending that must be blind.. who develops a new engine and at the same time develops a game for it?! Hmm, permaban? Bye

    @Hicks_206 I like thease frequent updates hicks! This is how Early access should be, why haven't this been the case since 2013? I mean, almost 1 year for two stable updates and now suddenly several EXP versions i matter of a few months? Nvm, merry christmas

    gjeeez.. Have you guys not read Brians post about the controlled the food supply in real time. They have deliberetly changed the supply to make the game harder. And I love it! (Build a camp ;) )

    Do you guys know if the fog-system has been changed in a hotfix? I'm getting this fog up North of the NWAF? It's getting hard to navigate :) (See picture and think that its the same 360degrees.. hard ey)

  11. @SMoss In terms of advanced melee, gunfight, base building, wild life, horticulture, graphics, animations, net code, loading times etc etc: Is this game engine even suitable for the goal with DayZ at all? I'm starting to wonder. Looking where we are, what's done, what's planned and the fact that it's 2016. Sadly, my answer is no.

  13. Great post Brian! You are not rambeling about! This is the kind of post/info me and a lot of ppl in the community hungers for!! I feel dayz development lack information about the development and the ideas/thoughts/goals of the developers! Great informative post Brian, also lucky for me, I agree with you a 100%! Keep up the good work! (I've been negative or critical in a lot of my posts, i won't change my mind, the development takes way too long and is a joke in a way with way too few developers on this game.. News are also too seldom. still good post)

    I disagree with you, beta will not come in the end of this year with the current staff. It seems to me as if around 5 persons are working with dayz and not full time, and Brian is more like the visionary and not a technical developer. But ofc I hope that you are right!

  22. So I was running around in chernarus starting of from the big castle in the north. I was trying to find my way to Nwaf like everybody else, but i was running in circles. I have managed to get a decent amount of loot with brown hunting pants, autum hunting jacket, hunting backpack with plenty of stuff, magnum etc. Also i had the cr with a huntingscope, though I only had 1 bullet in the magazine... So, I was running around looting and found the town of Novaya Petrovka, :/ close but not NWAF yet.. When looking into the town i thought to myself - Hmm, lets loot the entire town, there must me some of that lone bear in there.. - On the other hand, I always walk into someone when entering a northen town! Guess what? I did. (this is where the action took place http://www.izurvive.com/chernarusplussatmap/#c=74;-98;7) So after looting the buildings in the eastern industrial parts of the town I saw that zombies was all over the place, no much loot either, so i felt that this was a bad idea. I walked towards a pound in the end of the industrial area I spotted a player!! I held my distance, first trying to shout: - Friendly, are you friendly man? Realizing that my wife wanted my Qpad QH90 "because they are comfy", so I had a headset without mic.. With that aproach out of the question (I mean, if you were to walk into another player not talking to you, i guess you would have thought, "not friendly") So, trying to get around him to higher ground I managed to get Zombie agro on me. I thought to my self, im fucked... - The guy is infront of me to the right, alittle lower than me, the zombie is alittle to the left of me, higher ground. I pulled my magnum and killed the zombie with one shot. Now, the guy was alerted! I ran towards higher ground, 20 meters to some hay balls. Using alt to keep an eye for the guy who was close to me. He was running around by the pond and the trees. So, I was sitting, hiding croched, byt the hey wall. Looking desperatly around me towards the grassfeld and the pond covered by trees. The guy poped up running towards the industrial area, I pulled up my rifle with hunting scope, trying to get him in the crosshair. Suddenly, this other guy crossed my crosshair! Apperently they were friends (since not shooting each other) so i scoped out. Pulse raising! The new guy was running around, stressed, and suddenly he was running closer to me but towards the industrial area. (This entrie situation takes place in a 100m circle) The new guy closes in, closer and closer. I scope in on him, he runs rightwards in my scope, i follow him. And I take the shot! Booom! Drop down dead with one shot! My only shot! By now I've got maxpulse! Hiding by the hay, looking for the first guy. (Trying to not fall for the temptation to loot the guy i killed) I'm waitning 3 minutes, pulse goes down.. F-it! Lets loot him! Green M4! 29 bullet mag with red dot scope! OH YEAH! I ruined his pants? and head(hat) and gloves... Then I run away, into a steel barn. Waits there for a few minutes. I made it, I survived, atleast for now! OK I killed a guy, and got his M4. I'm ususally not that guy, I ususally Shout: - Friendly! And get killed on sight... Don't hate me. Cool story? I think so. All true aswell :)

    Are you sure there wasnt any other car/truck nearby? Cars freeze when that happens.. I found 3 trucks close to each other, all 3 was frozen.... Gamebreaking? YES!

    They have apperently posted on Twitter that stable will hit us today.. They should really have a Twitter Square at FrontPage of devhub.dayz.com .. stupid that Twitter is the way and not this site... (Windows 10 keeps making Large letter for me :S )
