Ok thanks for your help. I will try these things in a week - I need to take a break from it bc I spent almost 5 hours the other night trying to get the game to work. My frames are in single digits, like 3-8 frames, then it goes up to 30 for a few seconds, then down to single digits again. Also my character can not turn right or left while running without the screen and character going blurred to hell. I don't think has to do with the frames though. Try running and then turn to the right and run a circle and tell me if your screen is blurring out during the entire circle, this can't be just me having all these issues with this update ... thanks again

Hello, I have been having a real hell of a time trying to get the game to run since the new update. It ran fine before the update now the frames are too low to play/ its constantly freezing/sputtering. If I change directions left or right while running the screen gets blurry and my character starts to lag/go in slow motion. I can not even go into cities at all everything gets so screwy. I have been completely unable to play at all since the update. I have a new $800 computer with a GeForce GT 635 graphics card (I know its shite but the game did run fine before with only a small amount of lag in cities). I tried deleting my dayz files and restarting the game. I tried deleting and re-installing the game. I tried monkying with the settings and turning off clouds, rain, putting everything to "very Low" and turning off everything I could based on a youtube video. The steam frame counter shows my frames in the single digits at times and 150 f/s at other times even on servers with low ping (below 50). The frames are never stable and go up and down from very high to super low almost instantly. I downloaded and installed "jetboost" gamebooster and I updated all my software and drivers but still the same issue. So now I have no idea what to do next. I remember reading on these forums someone made software that will optimize the game settings for your computer. Has anyone tried this software with 0.60? Anyone have any suggestions as to what I can do next? Are there any good free programs on download.com that can optimize my computer so the game runs better? Any suggestions as to what settings may be causing the frame swings and lag? I do not want to buy a new graphics card because I am saving to buy the FN SCAR MK20 whenever it finally hits the civilian market (it will cost b/t $6-$8 grand). Hello fellow survivors and dayz team. By now hopefully everyone has had a chance to play .60 on experimental. When I was playing with the new renderer on .60 my frames in cities were a lot better but it seemed the graphics and detail overall was reduced. So my question is this regarding the renderer: Are we gaining frames at the cost of less detailed graphics? Or are we gaining frames while the graphics is the same as before? Because honestly I was not having an issue with lag before and I really liked the quality of the graphics before the new renderer implementation. So I want to know - am I imagining this decrease in graphics or have others experienced it as well? Thanks

No no no how could melee be finished if its broken. This post will be closed or deleted because the mods delete all negative comments even the constructive criticism comments. If you want the best chances of your post not being deleted and you want to know the best way to deliver criticism for the rest of your life learn to master the "complement sandwich." The complement sandwich uses the fact that people always focus on your first and last comments. So you give one complement, then the neg criticism, then finish with a complement. Here is an example: Dayz has really been coming along great. I am so proud of you developers for all your hard work. But, the melee system is the worst in the fucking world and must be fixed or you won't sell any more copies when the game is released. That said, I absolutely love the new USMC pants you but in the game, the detail on them is absolutely amazing, you guys are very talented indeed.

Holy Moly smokes did you say the game would cost $60? Wow nobody is going to be able to afford that. Maybe I should keep my steam account and try to double my money later and sell it when the game is finished.

Classic Geronimo picture. No I stated in my OP I am not trolling. I am only considering selling it if anyone wants to buy it. Dayz is the only game on my steam account. It is the only "video game" I have played in 20 years since Mario Party on super nintendo. One day I was watching The Walking Dead with my home nurse and I decided to look for a zombie game, Dayz had a lot of hype at this time and Rocket was brake-dancing around promoting DayZ as the end-all-be-all of video games. This was before Rocket was exposed as the sly lying sewer rat he is. I mean he always looked like a rat, but I though he was a human. My mistake. Anyway, I am not happy with the .60 changes I experienced in exp. This makes me regret investing my whole piggy bank in an alpha. Since I suffered a traumatic brain injury in a car accident I cannot work, It took me a long long time to save the $30 to buy this game. I had to sell one of my Christmas presents and borrow money from my sister.

All serious questions guys I am not trolling or joking: 1. I do not like the new renderer, the graphics appear worse, am I imagining this and can I still use the old renderer instead? 2. I respectfully am not at all a fan of the new inventory system. The old one was just fine, in fact I loved it, why was this changed? 3, Where is the loot in .60 - I just looted an entire city and found a pick ax and can of beer? 4. Zombies are running up to me and just standing there without attacking, I do not mind this but I should report this as a bug? 5. Is there a way to sell my copy of the game? Would I have to sell my steam account which includes the game? If anyone is interested I am selling it for $5 dollars US via paypal, pm me. I understand why .60 has not gone to stable and I agree with the Dayz team it is better to wait until the major issues are fixed before pushing to stable. Dayz is a good game, I just do not have the patience for alpha, it requires a lot of patience. The devs are doing a good job and working hard at making Dayz a great game, I truly believe this, but I feel the game is just not for me. Maybe I will buy it again when it is finished.

Kids these days are too sexually deprived. All that testosterone and they have no idea what to do with it. It even flows over in video games. In my day before HIV came around girls would put out. Most girls and guys I grew up with had several active partners and everybody was ok with it. HIV started a sexual de-revolution. Kids these days are forced to whack it all day in the tool shed.

Oh my. What are the odds the first people I meet are a pair of homosexuals looking for some poor passed out new players avatar so they can use their avatars to perform perverse sexual acts on it. These slang terms are very new school. I am an old man compared to the people who play this game I guess. I am glad my avatar died. I would not have wanted to meet these homosexual liberals.

Oh so tea bags are not even in the game? I must have heard them wrong then. Exactly what they were feeding me is not really what I was posting about though, I was commenting about how in real life you cannot feed someone who is unconscious as you must be awake to chew and swallow, but in the game we can feed people who are unconscious right?

They were violating me with tea bags? That does not seem logical to me. But in real life you cannot feed an unconscious person food, so this aspect of the game is a little confusing. Maybe tea bags are not edible in the game? Oh I see - you mean they were force feeding me food that would kill my character?

Last night I had contact with other players for the first time although I never actually saw them. I was in a little town on the coast searching for food because my character kept saying he was hungry and then I guess I passed out because the next thing I see is a black screen that says “you are unconscious.” Then I heard 2 players talking and one of them kept saying “tea bag him tea bag him.” So I guess they realized I was starving to death because they were trying to feed me tea bags I think to revive me but it didn’t work because next it said “you are dead.” I am wondering though – how is it possible to feed other players food when they are unconscious? I am new to this game. Thanks

Hey guys I just started playing and I have been having a lot of fun so far. I run for hours from town to town, through the forest, and along the coast. It is a blast and the graphics are great. The infected do not bother me because they cannot catch me so I just run right on past them. I have not seen any other players yet though but I only have about 20 hours into the game. So what do players like to do in this game besides running and searching for food?
