I usually destroy and take everything I can and if I have a note I'll write something like gotcha suckers

Yeah it was on one of the static crashed cars. I was astounded because me and my friends had talked about how that should be a thing and boom there it is lol, still waiting for more people to confirm this, but I know what I saw. I KNOW WHAT I SAW!!! @BleedoutBill, True, but I don't exactly expect a forum to have a bunch of "masters of the art of criticism" in it. In any case, S3V3n should've probably taken a chill pill. I'd rather this game take longer than expected than be forced to come out with shit content to meet a deadline.

Today I was looting up Novy Sobor and went to one of the abandoned cars (one of my favorite places to loot) and saw a sedan tire in the inventory, I thought it was strange because I didn't see it on the ground, I backed up, looked at the car and sure enough IT WAS ATTACHED TO THE CAR. So I guess abandoned cars now have a chance to spawn workable wheels which I think is awesome!

YOU KICKED S3V3N??? S3V3N?!?!?!??!?! This is an outrage!!!! *kicks desk* nah but forreal I liked s3v3n and it kinda sucks if he got kicked for criticizing the game. Bon voyage or should I say Auf Wiedersehen :(

Getting in vehicles still seems to affect fps until logging out. Played for a little over an hour today and drove a sedan for several minutes, and after leaving the sedan my fps kept stuttering every few seconds. It was much better than the first time I got in a car on this patch (I was getting a solid 10fps throughout) but it's still a lingering lag that only stops when I log out. We drove to Cherno to do some PvP, but everyone's game was sluggish so we stopped after a short while. Exiting DayZ and restarting it seems to remove all lag.

That's not the thing, yeah monitors can put a crosshair in a game, but it stays still. The current crosshair, however, moves with the sway of your gun, letting you know almost exactly where it's going to hit at all times. A crosshair that stays still wouldn't account for sway, requiring you to aim down sights to know where your bullet's going to hit. Edit: I just heard the new sound effects for wolves... I don't think I'm gonna wanna take shortcuts through the forest anymore :S

Nice video, dude. Got a big thumbs up from me. Static crosshairs were freakin' awesome because they were only effective when the player wasn't in sway, and they didn't tell people exactly where they would hit. I don't know why they made them dynamic and I don't know why it took me until now to be so annoyed by it. Just my two cents static crosshairs are better.

Being delusional? So I guess it's just normal that you can pull off a 150m instakill with a mp5 by timing when the crosshair "twitches" over the person's body. I know it'd be easy to tell at about 20-30m, but that dead center thing is exactly what i'm talking about. Look at the crosshair closely when it pans over a zombie or a person's body, it'll twitch and snap onto their body. Many players get so used to this that they know exactly when to shoot just by timing the crosshair, and it usually ends up being a heavy hit to the torso or head, not broken arm, especially if you aim it from 50+ meters away.
-
Damn, fair enough. I must admit I like having a crosshair, it's just I stumbled upon a guy the other day and took the time to aim down sights, hitting him twice, when he suddenly pulls up and instantly hip-fire locks onto my head and kills me instantly. Sure the crosshair is nice but does it really have to have a fucking auto-lock feature...? Don't pretend like it's not an autolock feature either because it lets you know when you're gonna hit 95% of the time Edit: I even talked to the guy in PM afterward and he said himself it was dumb luck and that the hip-fire is overpowered
-
I'm sayin it doesn't belong in the game in general. Kinda a dumb mechanic when it basically lets you know exactly when to shoot by how it pans over players bodies.
-
Ok seriously can hip-fire crosshairs stop being a thing in this game? isn't that kinda the point that hip-fire is reserved for panicked spray and pray moments where you dont know exactly where you're going to hit? It's just extremely frustrating because sometimes hip-fire is more accurate because it sort of "locks on" players when it pans over them, letting you know exactly when to shoot. Whereas with the ADS, that decision is left up to you. I'M SALTY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Makes sniping difficult, as if we needed more of a challenge after manual reloads were added. Well, now that I picked all these stones in the hope of making a fireplace just to have a big stack of the wrong type of stone, it got me thinking wouldn't it be great if players could throw these? Like sneak up behind someone as a fresh spawn and bean them in the head with a rock haha. That'd be awesome! Also it would be awesome if players could throw like hatchets at other players. Of course there'd need to be a reliable physics system to do that, though lol
-
Dang, I didn't even know you could mine stones haha! I've been taking a pickaxe and looking at the big clumps of rocks on mountains and cliffs and trying to mine them but it didnt work haha xD, Guessing you just mine with a pickaxe on the ground where it would say "search for stones?"
-
Just tried to make a stone-circled fireplace, but dragging a stack of stones onto the fireplace didn't bring up any options :C it's been this way for a while now. Anybody else try this?

I do, definitely. I get fps lag whenever zooming in with a hunting scope, I don't know what this is! On previous patches going into scoped mode would boost my fps by the double digits, now it has the exact opposite effect. It seems to be different for other kinds of scopes, too. PSO scopes don't do it as much, and the steyr-aug scope has very little effect. I noticed a small portion on the edge of the screen that isn't black with the hunting scope, I don't know if this has anything to do with it. Hunting scope is by far the laggiest scope for me on .60
-
Why are we talking about .61 exp already? I don't even have a proper base set up on .60 yet and when exp comes out that's all I play :P More V3S drama.
-
Yeah it seems pretty universal, I even tried the trick I used on a Dell laptop, staring at my legs in the car, and the fps was still around 10. City, country, anywhere.
-
Noticed something weird today, fixed up a Lada and drove it around a bit and while driving, my fps went about 7-10 fps, country or city. Got out of the car and fps got better, but kept dropping to around 10 every few seconds. Completely exited and restarted the game, and fps were back to normal. Got in the car with someone else driving, fps still good and normal (driver complained about fps with high end pc). Yet after that I drove and again fps dropped. It's really weird, it's like being in the car infected the game and caused the fps to suffer until the game was restarted, which cleaned up the issue. Memory leak?

Mousing over the V3S wheels in the inventory screen also works for me, there doesn't seem to be any visual difference between the conditions, though. It seems like the batteries, glow plugs, etc can only be interacted with by looking at them physically on the truck, then pressing F to remove or replace as needed. Personally I like this system and I think they are moving in a great direction with vehicle interaction. What surprises me is that I could only repair the front V3S wheels, but not the rear wheels. Anybody else having the same problem? I think this question will be asked far after the final game is released, haha. Personally I've always favored the Blaze for its ability to get that 1-2 hit BAM BAM. Also, now there is the manual bolting mechanism to the Winchester, and I'm still struggling with that feature. Just gives me another reason to use the Blaze.

How I feel with current state of V3S...
-
Friend got punched out by another friend and never woke up from unconscious, no matter how many CPRs, epinephrines, or saline bags we used. Lasted 20 mins before friend respawned.
-
I know they changed those spawns, and that's depressing to me, I dunno. Just doesn't seem like there's any fun little jackpots for people to check out anymore. Just gotta make a B-Line to the airport.
-
I'm just... I'm still butthurt about NOBODY EVER BEING NORTHEAST anymore like really!!!! I remember being legit paranoid every time I went to Novo clock tower because it felt like there was always some idiot waiting up there with a shotgun. Or say, the abandoned parking lot next to Cernaya Polana. I used to find people there quite often. Now if I'm lucky I'll catch someone as they're doing the suicide glitch up that way. :C

Damn, weird, I always look in houses for ammo and it seems like I am wasting my time because I can't remember 1 instance of finding .308, SKS or mosin ammo in a house, just in cars and milly tents.
-
You know what? I'll tell you where I have found 100% of my .308 ammo. In cars. Not in houses, not anywhere else. Just cars. I found a loose stack of 12 the other day and recently found a pristine box of 20, both in cars. It honestly doesn't seem like houses are spawning loose ammo at all.
