    Will it blend?

They still do, correct me if I'm wrong, but it would be 40 days. Once you interact with the tent by (re)moving or adding an item to the inventory of the tent resets it.

    the real hardcore survival server

I guess you never played World of Warcraft then. Well, the game has even been dumbed down more since then. But I guess we're getting a little too much off-topic now, so let's leave it at that.

    the real hardcore survival server

Unless you're doing normal, heroic or mythic from the start, you should have a fairly easy time because of LFR. Just follow the key rules: don't stand in shit, adds are priority and make sure you have an add-on like DBM. And then there is even the dungeon journal, read the part where you need to watch out for as your roll and you have/know everything you need. First few times you probably need to pay a bit of attention to the abilities, etc. but after that it's just muscle memory. I always made my own quests/goal/objectives. Like finding the FAL, finding metal wire, filling up an entire military tent with baked meat or hunting down and killing DicklePick, which was my favorite one tbh. So why can't they?

I don't own a server or never have but it might be beneficial to include your provider. As you already said, the procedure might vary from provider to provider.

    Status Report - January 2019

I thought 2018 was the year of DayZ?

Can Devs FIX In-Game Name please?

There are more pressing issues right? One year in and we're still not able to pick a name or respawn with the character we want after you died.

    Recording gameplay

This pretty much sums it up. Having multiple audio sources with VoiceMeeter is a must. It gives you the option to cut out audio without having to fiddle around with in-game sound, etc. OBS is also a great tool to record. It doesn't really affect your performance either, plus you can use it for streaming as well, if you're into that. I believe you can even do both at the same time. Not sure if I checked out the first video back when I set my OBS up, but I definitely watched the second video.

    Status Report - January 2019

That's where you guys took the wrong turn. Everyone was expecting a big first Status Report with a lot of information and a lot of details about how DayZ is moving forward into 2019. Instead, we get this Status Report with what we already knew (the most pressing issues and that you guys are working on them) and some small details. What you're saying makes a lot of sense, but it is the communication where it goes wrong. No where in the Status Report is it mentioned that this Status Report is just to reassure the community that you're guys still working on the game and figuring out your internal plans and whatnot. If this was the first thing stated in this Status Report, I and the rest of the community would've or might've received this Status Report in a total different way. It's the very thing you guys trying to avoid where you went wrong. Promising us a good Status Report but delivering a "we're still alive' Status Report, while this clearly wasn't the intention. The expectations were high on the very first Status Report but we feel let down, while that wasn't your intention in the first place. You see what I'm trying to get to here? About sharing details, I definitely 100 % agree that you guys shouldn't share details if it isn't set in stone internally, that only makes sense. But a simple "we're working on it and will provide details later" doesn't work. We need those details, given that they are discussed internally already. Take for an example the persistence issue, every build notes contains a "we're working on a fix and will give you details later" message. You guys are working on a fix, this means this is already internally discussed and the details are already recorded on paper. Why don't share information about the fix? Bring the community up to speed, acknowledge that you guys are actively working on the case. Now we just see words but no proof and let's be honest here, most people take your words with a grain of salt nowadays. The same goes for Status Reports, give us teasers, pictures, videos of the progress of new content or features. Someone recently on Reddit posted a topic about this, I think it is a very good one and you guys should definitely read it and also do something with it. The link to the topic: https://www.reddit.com/r/dayz/comments/akr2ln/the_communication_and_expectation_disconnect/ Again, we don't want details of things which aren't set in stone internally but there is no way you guys can't give details about anything right now. Because that would mean that you're literally doing nothing. I already gave the persistence as example but another example are the two weapons mentioned in the Status Report. Why don't you guys give the names or the weapons or even better yet video or picture teasers of the two weapons. That's ultimately what not only the community wants to see but the customer, which we are as well, and that is progress and proof of that progress. Seriously, give out more details of things which you can give us details on and try to communicate better with the community. It will go a long way and the developer-community relationship will get better because of it. Thanks for addressing my post though. Know that most of us love DayZ but we don't love the stuff which has gone wrong or is going wrong with the development. Just like you, we want the game we all love to succeed.

    Status Report - January 2019

No offense but you shouldn't get your hopes up too high. When they were still making the engine they said that DayZ would a flood stream of content after it is finished. Many months further and we barely got any content. This Status Report was far from nice, in fact, it's horrible to come up with this after 1 month.

    Status Report - January 2019

That's it? I'm glad that I didn't get high hopes for this Status Report because I would've been seriously disappointed. This is just a summary ([issue] -> "We're working on it") of what we've already knew with a few small details we didn't know. It took you 1 month to write down most of what we already knew? The Status Report was delayed because you guys had to get your plan together for 2019, where is that plan? Where is that juicy Status Report with the planning of all the features and the rich details? And why the secrecy? You want to be better at communicating to the community, right? Then give us some transparency! No "we'll give out more details later", just give the details already. Even if they lack, are a work in progress or might change. Just give the details and tell us that they might change. At least people won't be so disappointed then and it gives us a better understanding about what is happening behind the scenes. This is a shame, a real damn shame.

Content is #1 Priority, Not Persistence.

The server browser is bad, especially for a 1.0 release, there is no denying that. Filters also don't help. I wonder if you even ever loaded the community tab @Guy Smiley. Even with filters it takes way too long to see your favorites or the server you're actually looking for. It just loads all the servers in the background and checks if a server is in your favorites. It should just only load your favorite servers, not all of them. And now I'm talking with filters, try to pick a server without the filters. Or try setting a filter when you've got no filters set, you need to let it load all the community servers first before you're able to filter. Even searching a server with a direct IP takes a while, that is just bullshit and there is no justifying that. This is 1.0, we don't need work arounds, we need solutions. Solutions which should've been there in the first place.
  19. Problem is, this is 1.0, you can't just take out a feature anymore because it is bugged. They're here to stay until it gets fixed. :)

Yeah, I've seen some trolly posts from him indeed. Guess I shouldn't take him serious anymore in the future. Which sucks, because if he wants to be serious, no one is going to believe him. Enfin, his choice.

Content is #1 Priority, Not Persistence.

You're absolutely wrong about that. Both are important but without persistence, all you got left is basically a slower paced PUBG without the moving circle, unless they start balancing the game properly. People who never messed around with persistence will never get this, and so won't you. The broken persistence is currently the biggest factor why I'm not playing the game. Why? Because before I even fire up DayZ I ask myself "what am I going to do anyway?". Getting geared is easy and what is there to do now when you're geared? Right, PvP, which leads me back to the slower paced PUBG. You also mention cars, bases and helicopters in your post, all 3 are linked with persistence. If persistence is broken, all 3 features are out of the window. The current meta just leads to getting geared, PvPing, rinse and repeat. There is no sense of surviving, no dangers, etc. Maybe apart from server performance, persistence should be number one top priority for them. All other things just add to the short term of DayZ but persistence adds to the longterm in DayZ.

Xbox Feedback Round - January 2019

That's feedback from their side, I mean feedback from our side. That's what this is about. This is about user feedback, not feedback from the developers. This very question what they're asking the Xbox peeps is the first thing they should've asked the PC community as soon as they came back from their holidays. Without the community, the PC version would've been dead already by now. It is thanks to the modders and the people who play on the modded servers that this game is still up and running and have about 10 k players. Without them DayZ would have 1.5 k players again. Yet, they keep spitting us in the face and keep giving us the middle finger. It's like they don't give two shits about the (PC) community. And if that isn't true, they certainly give that feeling, because that's the feeling I have and a lot of others as well.

    Lower Damage of items

This topic needs a lot of balancing on the whole aspect. From infected damage doing damage to clothing to chopping trees or opening a can with a can opener.

    Duplicating

It's not the duped items which causes the crashes, it's the dupers themselves who do it.

Space in Bag for Magazine reloads

And that is what I mean. In the video, the guy either drops the mag or takes a new mag first and switches out with the mag in the gun. Currently in DayZ your character first takes the mag out of the gun and, puts it away and takes a new one. We can argue that he might take it out of the gun, take a new one and put the other one away because you can't see where the mag goes. But if your inventory is full and he does in fact put the mag from the gun away first, there would be no way you could reload. If he would take the new mag first and switch it with the one in the gun, then it wouldn't matter if your inventory is full or not. If you still don't get it, perhaps you should get out of here because my arguments and the video are very relevant to the subject.
