Wow, that's a hell of a necro there. I haven't read the guide but it will probably be way outdated by now. I'm sure it will be even more outdated once 0.63 hits.

I'm not sure but I believe Eugen mentioned that the draining bar is your actual stamina at that point and the other bar is your total stamina with your weight counted in. Which means, the more weight, the more grayed out the bar is and the less you can sprint. But it might as well be two bars, one for your stamina overall which determines how long you can sprint and jog and when you need to take a break. The other one would be the one how long you could sprint. I guess we'll see what it exactly is when we get our hands on 0.63. :) Edit: after watching the video Espa posted it looks like there is a sprint bar and a overall stamina bar. Which is very interesting. You can sprint a bit until your out of "sprint stamina" but you can also run out of overall stamina by jogging too much. I love how they implemented this and I hoped they would do it like this, makes sense as well.

Just leave it, the developers try to explain it each SR but still, people don't understand it. I guess they're either too big headed or just too dumb to understand. Let's not waste this topic on the trolls.

Both (the idea of) H1Z1 and PUBG is created by one person, PLAYERUNKNOWN. H1Z1: KoTK was based on the Arma 3 mod BattleRoyale, which is also made by PLAYERUNKNOWN. Perhaps the BattleRoyale mod idea comes from the SurvivorGameZ, that could very much be true. It will be for all animations. They have a distinction between single use animations and continuous. The continuous animations can be interuppted (eating, drinking, etc.). I'm not sure which animations will be continuous or single. I did see an animation for loading a magazine with bullets which is really awesome. To my knowledge, I think DayZ is the first to implement this feature. Hopefully they make an animation for sorting so I can stop looking for a slave... *ahum* I mean person, to do the ammo sorting job. Now let's not jump the gun here. He does say 3 months but in the coming 3 months they will be polishing things. This does not necessarily mean they are going to release the beta in 3 months. It might be their target and Eugen might've misspoke there but I would NOT count on it. Things can and probably will happen. I believe they were aiming for the end of 2017 and I don't know if they stated this officially but we shouldn't get our hopes up. Getting your hopes up can only lead to disappointment. Best thing to do is wait, wheter it is playing 0.62 or playing another game. But I do have to say, these video's are itching my hands to get my hands on 0.63. :P

At 4:24 you can see the inventory open while the person playing has a MP5k on his back. The gunholster slot is filled but the bow slot is open. That is really awesome, finally a very good reason to use the bow and keep using it.

Infowars? I don't think that quote is from them, neither is it from Churchill. That's also not the place where I got that quote from. In fact, I never heard of Infowars before you mentioned it. I also didn't state that the source was Churchill, if I knew the actual source of the quote I would've mentioned his/her name.

I'm not a seasoned PvP player but I tend to win most of my CQB's. As already mentioned, situational awareness is crucial. Seeing the enemy first gives you the advantage and the first step towards winning the firefight. Try to learn and use hipfire and keep moving. Ironsights or looking through a scope slows you down and takes time. Also don't spray & pray, rather tap your mouse button, it will help you control the recoil. Try to be unpredictable as well. What I like to do mid firefight is go crouched, it will throw them off. Keep in mind, this might get you killed easier as well because if they are aiming/hitting your chest and you go crouched it will be an instant headshot. What's maybe most important, know your and the other weapons. The shotgun is as you already noticed and mentioned one of the best CQB weapons out there. It does a lot of damage and it's easier to land hits than other guns. It doesn't necessarily mean it's the best CQB weapon though, everyone has their own personal preferences. But you're going to walk into many people with shotguns, that's true. The key in winning those fights is keep your distance. Never ever try and rush someone with a shotgun. Unless you have a shotgun yourself it's going to be a deathwish and even with a shotgun it gives you a disadvantage. In these cases, try and win the fight from a distance. Practice makes perfect, it is the key to success.

Hypothermia is a bitch. You will lose 10 health/sec, 5 blood/sec and 1.05 energy/sec. Meaning that if you're healthy you will die within 500 seconds and that is if you're healthy. As soon as you see freezing make getting your temperature up a priority.

Really nice status report! I still can't believe that with 0.63 we'll be playing a complete different game. I really can't wait for 0.63 and see what the future of DayZ holds after that. The teasers in the SR's aren't really helping with that though, makes the wait even more painful haha. I guess patience is a virtue. :) Sadly I can't participate with the live event nor can I watch the stream because I will be in the air at that time. :( For the ones participating, good luck and have fun.

Awesome screenshots! Had a lot of fun. It's nice to be able and pop infected without having to look around your back so that no one stops you from having fun. Still, I'm convinced that someone with a Mosin, Blaze, SVD, FAL or Winchester easily could've sniped me from the lighthouse while standing at the big tower. When are we going back? Wanna throw a shot across there before we make the swim to see how easy it would be. The lighting makes the leather clothing look washed out, now my style meter has gone down. :( -

No one gets banned for no reason as far as I know. To be honest, I have never heard someone complain about getting banned for no reason. There is always a reason and you probably know the reason.

Can you taste his salty tears? Hmmm. Using third person to deliberately ambush a person at Stary tents on top of an high place with only 1 fast exit and gets pushed off. The post and those 2 video's made my day. Seems like he got what he deserved.

I kind of like the ones we got now but I believe they may add a bit to the quantity. If other aspects of the game get harder, then their difficulty will be scaled naturally. Instead of being a nuisance, they start being a threat. Damn it! You stole my idea.

The question is, is it realistic? I know there are things coming like limping animations and such but I don't know if bleeding out on the ground is so realistic. If you lose a lot of blood, you're going to be unconscious in DayZ as well as in real life. I think it's pretty realistic as it is right now.
