Oh boy, oh boy, I can not wait to touch that Mosin again, and the scopes of course. Hopefully we're on par soon with 0.62 so we can look forward with going over that.

Huh, I guess they hand out college degrees to just anyone these days. Please uninstall the game because if you can't handle DayZ at its worst, you most certainly don't deserve it at its best!

I haven't read the article but this update has been out for quite a while already...

DAYZ COMMUNIST FACTION; CHERNARUS MOVEMENT OF THE RED STAR!
IMT replied to Digger And Dogger's topic in Clans/Groups
Glad to read this part of the post. The faction makes a bit sense though, given the location of Chernarus. -
Not sure what you mean but the difference in movement speed does affect your energy and hydration consumption.
-
We should be seeing new content and features soon.

I think ImageCtrl explained it already nicely, including pictures. To add to that, currently you will find a stack of 8 stones but in reality I believe it is only one stone (it goes back to one after a relog). So you need to find a second "stack" of stones and combine them to craft the stone knife.

Thanks for the daily dose of humor, buddy.

I believe they're going to release the server files when 0.63 goes to Stable (aka Beta).
-
This is correct. If your video settings are too low, the CPU will do most of the work instead of the GPU. For graphical calculations the CPU is worse than the GPU thus resulting in a lower framerate on low settings than you might get with higher settings.

Honestly, I think they are fine as it is, except there is a exploit/bug with the blocking mechanic which is gamebreaking. One on one is easy, one on two is do-able but if it gets more than that, it gets hairy. I think that's how it should be. Shooting your gun should get you in trouble, which for myself has happened on multiple occasions already.
-
Isn't that what you need to do in every game? Sure, you can have some sort of tutorial to explain some really basic stuff like "use W to walk forward" but figuring everything out is one of the aspects of DayZ. We've all started and we've all been there. There are if I'm correct 2 shooting ranges at the moment. One is at Tisy and one is at the remodeled NWAF.
-
I think they're releasing them together with the 0.63 Stable release aka Beta release.
-
What does the company where you work for work with?
-
I wouldn't recommend it, when I clicked his stream and watched for 2 minutes he switched servers in a police station. So I stayed to confirm and yes, he was hopping for loot.
-
I know how it works but I guess they had a bug because my game did close correctly. And actually, it's not really a seperate implementation of persistence, all it does is write some values to a JSON file, not really a good way to use persistence.

It's definitely possible by making some scripts. There are already some on this forum or the Reddit but I tried one and it worked but after a session I lost a lot of items. After that I didn't bother with offline mode anymore.

[FORUM] Update General Discussion to 0.62/63 Discussion
IMT replied to Lasyen's topic in Suggestions
Yeah, that wouldn't be such a bad idea. -

That subforum was created because at that point there was no feedback tracker. This subforum was a temporary substitute for the feedback tracker. -
DayZ 0.63 New Features WIP (Unofficial Offline Single Player Mode)
IMT replied to INomadZ's topic in Gallery
Everything in the stress test is a WIP. Probably even in Experimental, the sounds and other stuff will not be final. -
Thanks for keeping us up-to-date!

Meeting up with friends SHOULD be more accessible in .63.
IMT replied to haydaman712's topic in General Discussion
There are multiple solutions for this "problem": - Vehicles when they are back in - All logout at the same time and place, we will be able to have multiple characters so you can have 1 for playing solo and one for group play - Stay around one area so you know where your friends are going to be - A mod which makes this possible, which is most likely going to be there Solutions which will tackle this problem but won't be implemented (at least I hope so): - A party system - A spawn selector - Spawning together This is not what DayZ is about. It also doesn't make it fair for other fresh spawn if you can spawn in a group. Think about how many squads will be roaming the coast, dunking on fresh spawns in 4 vs 1. I'm sure you wouldn't like it either if you're playing solo. It doesn't take that long to meet up, to be honest, even in the current patch. You're in a group for a reason, to help each other. You don't have to loot as much because your friend can give you some stuff when you meet each other. And you can always meet each other halfway, you know... your friend(s) doesn't/don't have to sit still until you're there. We always discuss a meeting point and if one is there faster than the other they can always move on closer until they've met. At that point you can exchange stuff and help each other out. If I know I'm good on food, I always offer food if I have some on me or find some. If they don't want or need it, I eat it myself to increase that buffer. Just last weekend, I offered BioHaze constantly food but at some point he had enough as well so I just added to my buffer. -
Hahaha nice one. And watch out because if you reuse the saline the helmet might say "First aids". This opens up a lot of options. How about a IV pole mounted to a bicycle.

I think this is a great option because it changes the survival aspect on a greater scale. Now I don't know if any of you had cholera in-game and actually tried to survive it, but let me tell you, it is a bitch. Low or medium cholera is survivable although with medium you need to be healthy and prepared to fight it. But the high gradation of cholera can't/couldn't be survived on your own. You needed to rely on someone giving you saline or blood bags because otherwise you would die of blood loss, despite the natural blood regeneration. Now it would be possible with the help of this option. I do think it should be changed however. I'm not a medical expert or doctor but I read that getting too much of the saline causes problems with the blood pressure and your kidneys. A solution would be to combine it with a rope and strap it to your arm. Another great way to see if a player is/has been injured or not and it should gradually improve your blood situation. Crafting and applying it still should take some time though. Blood bags should be even longer but I'm not sure if there are any consequences of getting a lot of blood in a short amount of time. So if the combining it with a rope applies here, I have no idea. But overall, I think this is a great feature. It's funny because I was thinking about it this morning, if they would implement this. Seems they already did. :)
