Its nice to see support for the stuff we do to ruin the community. Questerday we saw two some semi-equipped guys. Shot em in the legs so they could not run away. We handcuffed them and put a burlap sack on one of their heads. Then i got out my baseball bat with nails attached and punched the guy with the burlap sack on his head to death, while his friend was watching. After this we i cut his friend up and we made a nice campfire, just to forcefeed him with his friend. We took him to the next nearby police station and locked him in the police jail, with a burlap sack on his head. After this we locked all other doors, except one and shoot to get all the zombies of the town into the police station. We locked the main door, and left him there, with all the zombies around him. What a nice day...

All the guys complaining about KoS: Would you shoot if this would be a real apocalypse? Most would because you can't trust anyone you don't know. Why do you rage about backstabbing? "Meh he couldn't defend himself" You saw him first, took the advantage, got his loot. What's wrong with that? If he would see you first he would most likely kill you. And for this 1.900 hour comparison. I got around 500 hours, most of the time full military equipped with high tier weapons and wandering around north with my mates. We are all on of these that ruin the game. Died we die so far from backstabbing? Yes. Do we complain about it in the forums? Nope. I got around 30+ kills with my last public character without one real firefight, because we shot em in their heads. I admit I really ruin the game, like all other KoS scrubs.

Early Access isn't paying for playing a game. It's for being a part in development and testing. The game in this state isn't really meant to play, much more to test. Development is a bit slow, but I rather have a grate game after its finished then "just" a good game.

[Clarification] DayZ Server Monetization

You stated out that 'optical' things were allowed to be monetized, so will the server owners be able to let users joining the servers force to download specific content that the player can pay for. How much can we access the resources of the game, to be able to edit the KI or generally the bahavior of animals and infected, for example? -
You are taking points of various different game mechanics and throw them into, without knowing that each of them need to interact with each other but are not part of each other. There is nothing like a direct human body engine, that would smth that need players to actually fullyfie the needs of the human body and go on from there, how the energy from your food is procedd, pooping, peeing (getting a heart attack ) all kinds of this stuff. That has nothing to do with what you described, you wanted a "realistic" movement system AND an enhanced inventory system with interacts with the movement/animation speed of the movement system and medical care is a part that goes hand in hand with the damage system and and changes the things how animations or certain game mechanics are handled. Most of this is packed together in a player controller which is currently in development.

I read this whole discussion, I can understand your opinions on specific topics. But you just wrote that you are modeling for 5 month's on Arma things now. And I guess DayZ modeling will be somehow similar to the Arma titles, but you don't know shit about the DayZ modeling itself. So don't talk like you would be a total professional in any of this unless there are official resources that you can use and experiment with. However the game makes good progress from an programming standpoint, at least from what we read in the status reports. In your position I would take a long break from DayZ until there are the features your waiting so damn hard for.

Everything is possible with modding... GTA:SA got 2 multiplayer mods. And with the integration of the steam workshop, mod installing will be very easy, looking forward to this feature. -
Boxes: Silenced M1911, Nades, Flashes and 2 Medkits full with morphin sticks and Sewing kits, Ammobox and a few silencers and stuff ^^ I dont like camps, have to pick them up on maintance and they like bugging around

Chance pistols and long rifles spawn with empty magazine

This will come with the new loot system. Weapons will spawn with randomized attachments, so there is a chance to find an M1911 with magazine and ammo in it. If I find the status report where they mentioned it I will edit my post later
