  1. So the first guy just mentioned how these horrible map changes has increased coastal faggotry. Just fucking great. /s https://www.reddit.com/r/dayz/comments/5gz8gh/the_new_spawns_and_military_camps_changed_this/
  2. It doesn't matter if the quality of items is low in these spots, people won't leave the east coast if there's even a remote chance of loot there. Look at how Electro turned out a while back. 50% of the server population was just playing "Coastal faggotry of duty" there. There needs to be absolutely, completely empty on the east coast and at least a few kilometers in to get these people of the coast. Let the idiots who think you're a marine animal and can't leave the sea starve to death on the coast.
  3. I've just seen this map change on Reddit, and I just had to voice my concerns as DayZ is by far one of my favorite games. I've got 1.300 hours in the standalone. The changes I'm talking about is the military tents located in Cherno and Berezino and the east. I can only imagine it'll bring back the same type of gameplay as the NEAF era had e.g the west being completely empty, and every single person in the server being in Electro, Cherno, or more likely in Berezino. Back then you could easily play 6 hours in the west without seeing a single person. People simply didn't go anywhere but Berezino and NEAF. It was a disgrace. And now you're basically erasing everything you've finally changed. People are actually in the west now. The biggest problem with DayZ has always been the massively idiotic coastal faggotry. People who would just die in Cherno, Electro or Berezino over and over and over again. But thankfully NEAF was deleted and for the first time people started going more than 100 meters away from the east coast, other than going to NEAF. But now you're placing MILITARY tents all over the east. I love the idea of spreading out military locations more, instead of clumping them together, foaming a giant deathmatch area like NWAF and Mysh tents, where you can't visit without running into people every time since it's the only place to get good stuff around but for the love of god don't place tents anywhere near the coast. Let's stop this from turning back into coastal battle of duty faggotry, please.

Why are there no first person EXP servers?

My apologies. I didn't actually open up the link you sent as I do not have Twitter.

Why are there no first person EXP servers?

How has this anything to do with weather EXP servers are first or third person?
  6. Why'd you guys take away the first person EXP servers? They were amazing.

    Let all cars* be random.

I personally think the more random things are the better. But as of right now, the only random things are police cars and heli crashes. I suggest we make all cars, military trucks, jeeps, Humvees and similar random, just like police cars and heli crashes are right now.
  8. I'd like to discuss tents and similar with you all. I think the tents, barrels and persistance is the best thing ever to happen to DayZ, I fucking love it. However. I feel like tents are almost pointless at this time. They're so easy to find. When you walk through a forest, there are very few places you can place one because the forest doesn't have much undergrowth, and on top of that, if you're further from something, the little undergrowth and bushes doesn't render. You need to find somewhere trees are close together to even hope for it to be hidden. That however is obvious, because anyone searching for your camp or tents also knows this, and will actively search places where trees are closer together. What's your opinion on the matter?

    So is DayZ 58% done?

DayZ is at version .58 or something similar, which makes me believe the game itself is 58% done, considering that's basically what it means. So my question is, how much stuff had to be cut for you guys to make the 2016 release date? Because from my point of view, which I admit is not an educated one on this subject, I'd definitely not say DayZ is 58% done. My guess would be more like 15% finished when looking at BI's earlier titles' content. This post may seem like I'm trying to provoke some sort of responds, but I am genuinely curious.

Will DayZ ever look this good?

Me too, but in theory, it's possible.
  11. We have so little server performance to spare, why are we wasting it on books, which nobody cares about.. I'd gladly get rid of all books for just 1 more fps.

    Should guns spawn loaded?

I think around half of all guns should spawn with mags and possibly even some ammo. Would gun spawns need to be reduced? Very possibly. But I still think it's the best way to do it. Guns always laying around without magazines make no sense from a realism stand point.

    Fireballs!

Far more guns look like this when fired, and that's my point. The flash is very excessive, and it happens with most of the guns, and most of them do not create a giant fireball.
