Summer's over, the honeymoon's over, some issues you can adress quickly others take time or takes a fundamental engine change ie. standalone. Tents isn't a game breaker. These guys have been preparing for a convention, they conducted scores of interviews, now let them get back to work. So what if they haven't posted here, I mean last week they were actually "talking" to people, fans and journalists. They communicated 1.7.3 is right around the corner, they communicated that's going to happen with the standalone and when 1.7.3 is released, you can also consider that communication too. Because they can't constantly hold your hand on the forums, doesn't mean Rocket has quit BIS or have decided to cash in working for Activision.

Sure the collision/physics model is a big rough around the edges, but I think STm takes it way to far past simulation and too much towards FPS, where you're controling a floating camera and not having an actual psycical body in a game world. I like that you can't slice any pie, with a long assault rifle and backpack in every narrow corridor. -
DayZ standalone will use Real Virtuality 4 engine!

Not a big fan of ACE or STmovement myself and I think Rocket said something about allowing those mods to be what they were on their own and DayZ be DayZ. -

I think the debug monitor sometimes resets kills, murders and humanity, especially if you change skins. Has happened to me often, but once I log in later, my original humanity has been restored. -

When the standalone goes live, the mod can open up to more experimentation. I don't see why you can mix DayZ with Insurgency at that point. Either make it so the players are a rescue team, cleaning up all the red squares of the remaining infected, looking for "intel" or hints where to find remaining encalves of civilian survivors. You can also assign a few players to play as opfor, controling zombies. But I don't think this will be relevant untill the standalone is released.

The difference is the same. I guess the main reason for calling them infected is to eliminate the supernatural aspect and I'm looking forward to investigating Rocket's brother's hints about the outbreak, but when you encounter moaning, staggering, humanoids with a craving for face, I think it's socially acceptable to go OMG ZOMBLES! in the heat of the moment. -
I don't mind taking a humanity hit, even in selfdefense. I'd think killing a human being is a pretty big deal, no matter the circumstances. It's pretty easy to recover humanity, simply by not shooting someone for a while.

The current issue is most tents become duping factories. Even if you empty them, save them and destroy them, they'll often respawn with the gear intact.

Don't you only get 250 humanity for giving blood, that's alot of blood bags though?
