If you earn the bandit skin in selfdefense, get the hell out of Cherno and get the hell into the wilderness. If you constantly place yourself in situations where you have to kill to survive, you're asking for trouble. A hero is someone who focuses more on survival than murder, if you prefere going to Cherno to shoot people, only shoot bandits or accept your choice of playstayle, dictates you playing as a bandit. I feel a bit bad about shooting two bandits in Cherno, one had an axe, another an unloaded rifle. One of them say: "Don't shot, friendly!" However they wore the scarf, they were in Cherno, it had to be done. We also got attacked by a group of mixed heros and bandits. Their hero member went down like the rest, we lost a bit humanity on him, but hey he had to die for his association.

Good hackers are hackers who are bored of teleporting everybody out in the water or instakilling them. So no there's no good hackers. While you wait for an ahole hacker to come save the day, you might want to server hop back and forth, which should punnish you by spawning you back at the beach after a while.

It seems like the hero skins bugs the debug monitor. IF you log in with female/ghillie/camo your debug monitor should display your stats correctly. If you long in with the hero skin, the debug monitor will flash your real character stats shortly, before resetting all to zero. It's not actually resetting your stats, it's just displaying them wrong. Unfortunately this means since your humanity is shown as 0, you're able to regenerate humanity to the max possible 2500. Which means everytime you play, you'll automatically earn 2500 extra humanity, if you're moving and not earning negative humanity.

Killed a bandit with a 3-round burst to his head with a MP5. I'm not completely sure if it only knocked him out or how many rounds it took, but I sinceI used the MP5, I spent two 30-round magazines just to make sure, before I checked the corpse.

Only if it causes bugs. I hate them as hell and never use them myself, but I like to overcome them as obstacles, whether I have a toolbox or not. I also think they are valuable for bandits setting up killzones or traders setting up safezones.

Hopefully since the standalone is confirmed, the statement Rocket wanted to make has been spread and heard. Which was the reason the mod had to be locked down by so strict rules initially. Since private hives have received their own subforum on these boards, we're closing in on the standalone, I can't see why official servers can't be given a little latitude dealing with people injecting scripts or carrying hacked gear.

Damned if you do and damned if you don't, Unlike the mod which ended up selling itself, the standalone is going to be a pruduct and needs to be sold. At this level even Rocket has to show up for a couple of interviews and has to show up at PAX. DayZ is old news on twitch, I mean at 1,2 million unique users, most of the people getting their game info from youtube and twitch, have already signed up. I'm sure a good few streamers will jump on the standalone, but it doesn't hurt anyone to be a little bit available to the old gaming media, such as at PAX and seemingly repetative interviews.

All functional tents are un/intentionally duping factories. Having tents that produce NVGs/GPS/DMRs/M4SD/AMMO/Coyotes at every server restart, trivialize the game completely and defeats player persistency. Wipe tents from orbit, it's the only way to be sure.

A guy with an AKM killed my buddy carrying a MP5SD6 yesterday, I killed the guy with my MP5. The AKM guy killed my friend with a single burst to his body. I only knocked him out because, I was lucky to hit him in the face with several 3-shot bursts to his torso/face. I reloaded and placed another 30 rounds to make sure. With an MP5/MP5SD6 you either have to be very lucky or avoid hostile players.

When you change skin, debug monitor resets/bugs out. What the debug monitor shows and what your humanity really is, is not always the same.
