Empty tents should delete themselves, we had a few bugged tents go away yesterday.

Not very realistic, can't duct tape a flashlight to any automatic pistol, because of the slide action. If you don't want to chose between a handgun and a flashlight, use the 12 hours of daylight to find a Glock, Remington or a M4A3.

Based on the ArmA/DayZ mission design. In DayZ all players start out on the same side, but they are not grouped together, so we're all our own one-man group leaders. On beta-servers noone can read group chat, on regular servers group/command/side and global chat are read by everyone, just different colors. In other ArmA missions, player setup is different. 1-1-A-1: Squad leader 1-1-A-2: 2nd in command 1-1-B-1: Team leader 1-1-B-2: Grenadier 1-1-B-3: Machinegunner 1-1-B-4: Medic 1-1-C-1: Pilot 1-1-C-2: Co-pilot 1-1-C-3: Crew-chief 1-1-C-4: Door-gunner 1-2-A-1: Spotter 1-2-A-2: Sniper Each team can chat/talk inside their own group in group channel. All teamleaders can chat/talk together in command channel. In multiplayer setup/the lobby green chat is the only one available.

-Vehicles spawn different places on the map, search the forum for their specific locations. They are hard to fix up alone. A wheel takes up 6 slots in your inventory and you usually need 4. You also need engine parts and fuel. -Press / to open chat and the keys next to it to chose chat channels. Only use text in side channel(blue). If you're running the beta-patch, side channel might be disabled on the server. Or if you have joined a non-beta server, while running the patch yourself, you wont be able to talk to others. -I run two startup parameters to load up faster. -nosplash(disabled intro screens) and -noisland(just loads up water in the basic menu). You could use -world=empty instead of -noisland.

Any easy way to tell which houses are enterable?

Easiest way is to look for transparent windows or doorways, but a few closed houses still have small entrance areas, where you can find loot just outside the doorstep. -

Althought the joke is quite lame, I can't get myself to post anything hateful. :)

I'd say drop into the game with both eyes closed. After your initial shock. Get comfortable with the UI, especially the ear/eye icon. Get comfortable with shooting mechannics. Get comfortable with inventory managment. Learn when to shoot and when not to shoot.

I'm looking forward to ArmA3's smoother movement and I agree that ArmA2's movement is clunky and unforgiving. I've bleed out to a doorway too, then again, doing a 180 turn with a rifle, stretched out prone on the threshold, isn't something you can do in most RL doorways. However I do like what ArmA is trying to do, making the player's body a part of the world. Where you can't stop on a dime and have to recover your aim. Where you can't smoothly slice the pie in a narrow corridor with a Lee Enfield and a bulky backpack. I'll rather accept the bulky movements, than go in the complete opposite direction, where you're just a floating head with a crosshair.
