    Hackers are cowards

Hackers versus alt-f4s, who do you root for?
  2. I don't think it's a good idea to turn EU32 into a socialized cooperative. We pretty much left another server, because a 15-17 man clan had occupied it. We try to be somewhat friendly, but our some of our members interpretate friendly very liberally. I don't mind whether we all end up lving in a big teepee together or kill and steal from eachother, it's just nice to say hello to my fellow EU32 citizens. :)

    DayZ Standalone Confirmed

I always end up timing my pcs around BIS releases. I bet if you read this thread you'll find the answer posted over and over, if you're too lazy to read all pages, start with the very 1st post in this thread.
  4. I've hired a homeless person to play the game for me, so I can post on the forum fulltime.
  5. How can OP, who's pretty active on these forums, continue to ask these ignorant questions? You trolling or stupid?
  6. Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results. There's nothing wrong with asking people if they are friendly from behind cover. You don't have to present your bare forehead for strangers to rest the muzzle of their revolver on to build trust. You see somebody, take cover and yell friendly at them, if they approach you, try to flank you, give them a warning shot to keep them at bay. If they call out friendly that's fine, talk to them from safety, no need to tempt them with a fat target. Talk to them from cover. Get them to talk about the game, if they come of as condescending or insincere, they will double cross you. Don't believe everything they say, just because you want to believe it. If you get a feeling they are trying to get a clear shot on you, tell them goodbye and leave them. If they follow you, shoot them. In order to meet friendlies, you have to trust someone, sometime, but you don't have to make it easy for them to kill you.

    DayZ Standalone Confirmed

Only you can make that call. You wanna play DayZ now or in a couple of months? October-november. 5 bucks on November.
  8. Microtransactions is the practise of holding back content selling it piece by piece. Fishy.
  9. Last time I spawned at Kamenka, I got monster lucky, after I hit the five deer stands in the area, I had a DMR, Coyote, M9SD. No doubt that was one in a million, but hey, you make your own luck.
  10. Rocket has a vision, WarZ has a marketplace.

    DayZ Standalone Confirmed

Hey Is there anyway to redeem Armed Assault or Operation Flashpoint too? If I had only known about DayZ going standalone in 2001 I might have waited.
  12. Empty tent, save tent. Destory tent. After server restart, tent will respawn, but empty.
  13. Me neither, however you know what they say: "If you can't spot the hacker, you're the hacker!" :)
  14. Alot of new players have been raised to believe DayZ is purely a deathmatch mode, where the purpose isn't to survive, rather to murder everyone in sight, even at the expense of their own safety. So at the moment you're better off treating everyone as something less intelligent, but better armed than zombies. If you're a moving, you're a moving target. If you learn to loot quickly, you're only a sitting target for a small time. Whenever you see someone, place solid cover between you. You can always ask someone if they are friendly from behind cover. Always keep on the move in populated areas, always follow walls, change direction at every corner and keep close to solid cover at all times. If someone shoots at you, just run. Don't try to locate the shooter, run instantly. Run for cover and when you reach it, run for the next cover, run till you lose zombies and shooters. People can't shoot accurately and run at the same time.
  15. Maybe the bandit skin only had a minor effect, however removing it had a major one.
  16. Not a big fan of storing vehicles outside the map, I destoryed the tractor at that lake center north outside the map and also brought back the PBX speed boat beached from out of bounds.
  17. Wasn't there a piece of clothing exclusively spawning in military baracks?

    What weapons do you carry?

If the M16A2 M203 was good enough for Major Alan "Dutch" Schaefer, it's good enough for me.

Road Trippin' in the Off Road Pickup Truck

Best vehicle in the game. Haven't used it DayZ, but when ArmA2 was freshly released, we created a sunday off-road club to check out Chernarus. Just a heads up when you passed the supermarket in Zeleno, you came across zombie. IF you're inside a vehicle, zombie doesn't spawn, so someone must have been in the area. However the first ones you came across dissappeared, which might have meant the guy on foot, who spawned the zombie, might have disconnected or left the area, when you guy arrived.
  20. Kicked off by BattleEye: Script restriction #1337(BAM Mother fucker banned!).

    Roadflares

Remember that zombie will move towards road flares slowly to investigate the light. Also the ambient light from flares can be seen 500-1000 meters away and might draw negative attention. If you want to investige a place in the dark, throw flares around it, but not too close to it. The ambient light will be sufficent to see items on the ground, even if the flare land a good distance away and you'll draw zombies away from the place you really wanna go to. Depending on where you are and how many players are on the server, you'll have 1 to 5 munites to safely operate in the area you lit up with flares. If I use flares in Elektro/Cherno, I always throw three flares in each direction and then quickly move away from where I first threw them, while people will become aware of player activity, it'll be hard to pinpoint my exact position.

    I'm screwed!

I'll be willing to arrange a boating accident for some of your good gear.

    What DayZ Needs Right now.

Most of all I need a feature to transfer my celestial steed from world of warcraft. I paid 20 bucks for that mount!
  24. Man BattleEye should release testamonials from banned players on their website. :)
  25. If watching Jerry Springer has taught me anything, there's no such thing as 100% certain, when it comes to friends.
