I had just gotten home from my usual Thursday Night tennis league. Exhausted, I reached for a beer before sitting down at my computer and loading into DayZ for a quick session from 11:30 - 12:00 midnight EST. I log in and head to an empty high ping, somewhere-in-the-ex-USSR-bloc server, because everyone knows the more obscure, crappy servers are the most likely to have not been looted yet at Vybor. In my exhausted state, I only prayed to the PSO God twice instead of three times for one to be under a double-bed. To my surprise, you, another fine ex-USSR-bloc individual were logging in at the exact same time I was, and almost exactly three feet in front of me. As you stared at your shoes, unresponsive, waiting for what I can only imagine to be his "Please Wait" screen to finish loading, I quickly changed my diaper and cleaned up all of the shit off of my walls from being scared crapless. Upon completion of said cleaning, I did a one pass around you and noticed that you had a silenced AK101 with PSO scope in his hands. I thanked my Dear Leader, the PSO God himself, and proceeded to dump a magazine one round at a time into you, the fine ex-USSR-bloc individual, who, seemingly didn't mind me doing so until thirty seconds later when you finally came into game. Upon falling to the ground, I managed to grab your gun and everything of value off of your body. While I am slightly apologetic towards my method of acquisition, I feel as if it is simply destiny and my devotion to the PSO God that you brought me the one item that has been alluding me for the prior few weeks. I noticed you logged out, then logged back in. I do apologize for heading out in a hurry - I promise it was more due to my exhaustion and need for sleep before another riveting work day rather than me not wanting to be there when you got back. Gave a bambi a lullaby earlier this evening, and it made me thinking about the above. Kinda impromptu'ed it on the spot. :D We had played together for a couple hours, and he ended up acting kind of sketchy. Had to do the dirty.

Straw man argument. My issue isn't with bugs or gameplay interruptions, it is with communication and mis communication. Just a little more heads up would be very helpful to those of us that can't login / remote in promptly. No worries though. I'll follow your above points.

To note: a couple days of lead time would be appreciated. That way, even those of us that don't have time to log in as soon as the music stops can still have a chance to prepare accordingly. "but we are the devs, and this is alpha!" Does it really hurt you that much to give us a little additional lead time when you may be affecting everyone's gameplay / characters? All I ask for is a little extra time to prepare for your improvements, should they warrant preparing for. I love assisting in testing / getting to play pre-release Alpha. That doesn't mean I should be told one thing only for the opposite to happen.

I resent the resentment. I don't use twitter, and worked late yesterday. I didn't have time to play. As a result of me assuming the previously made statement: was actually true, and since I had tested the tent sustainability, my tent would in fact remain. Now it may be solely my opinion, but wasting 25+ hours of gameplay based on your transparently contradictory statements is what is upsetting. edited for a better assumption of time wasted.

Well, there goes my mosin, fully kitted AKM, two smersh vests, fully kitted plate carrier, stack of burlap, and 3 tents / extras. First time I had tried screwing with tents, too. Just my damn luck.

I've fixed your above statement. and there was nothing that could be done to prevent this from happening without writing a script to exchange player inventories upon login, which would make sense to have for any other item changes, or spending some sort of added time to find a suitable solution. We are sorry if this has caused any inconveniences. Thanks for the apologies though - it is Alpha, after all. B)
