I spent my first few months learning how to live off the land, gear up, find my way around, then I'd go back to the coast to help people. Was having an average 5-10 hour lifespan dying fully geared wearing gorka gear and a Stetson with a bag full of gardening shit able to feed myself and 10 survivors in twenty minutes. I'm hoping these changes mean people will give me a chance to start a farm and chat about what I remember seeing where instead of some squeaker KOSing me and then mocking my body telling me I suck at dayz. I have three guns (two on me) multiple changes of clothes, food, tools, two camps (so far), and have slayed more zeds since Wednesday than all my 250 hours before. I love .55

I said "prepper, militia, whatever" they're a bunch of alcoholic hillbillys who spend weekends "practicing", drinking beer and "popping off" at stuff with their milsurp armaments. Waking up in strange places in a t-shirt with just a flashlight or some random object is a common "exercise" practiced by these drunken fuck ups. So is showing up late, drunk, both, or not at all.

Was wondering that too? I did notice last week if you leave one under water it will be floating on the surface after a relog or restart. you can swim to it and get in at which point it sinks again.

I think we're kinda free to RP in this sand box the way we want or choose not too. All of my characters last week and from now on are a part of prepper, militia, whatever and have knowledge of the "clubs" stashes and camps. In the event of something like the outbreak it was already planned to use the stashes to get to the camps, then maintain the stashes. We even all have a laminated map with the most current ones marked for just such an event in our wallets. We wake up wherever, figure out where that is then get on with the plan we spent our weekends practicing for and hoping others lived to meet up.

I like it. I think it'll do wonders for the "glitch" where you see the "you are dead" screen and hear one of Alvin and the chipmunks mouthing you off talking "street" lol.

So I got myself a little base going, found my first tent and started collecting long term survival stuff. Had pumpkin seeds and bottled swamp water but it took awhile to find a garden tool. Finally get a damaged hoe and clear an improvised backpack of 4X4 places to go grow 4 pumpkins. down the hill from my tent on the flats. Here comes the fun part, pumpkins are 3x3 each now and the extras that don't fit you bag disapear in less than 10 seconds. Anyone else noticed any gardening changes?

Just logged in, my civ tent, imp backpack, hunting backpack & 2 stacks of plant matter are where and as I left them 13 hours ago. The damaged garden how seems to be gone though. There's an underlying issue to the complaints of the despawning bags and tents. The one thing I can put forth is my server of choice is always low pop, 3 avg, 10 Max.

I'm curious to see how far they go in your stomach. I'm hoping they're 2.5 times as filling for the space.

I was sufficiently full off canned goods so I didn't get to try eating them to see how far they go. Green peppers weren't bad but time consuming to eat enough to get stuffed, they see to fill energized and hydrated equally. Going to check my tent one more time before bed read they're having issues too..

I've only got 3-4 hours in since the update but as far as I can tell forget any pattern to what loot spawns where. The only food I've found was in one of the big dairy barns, 3 tins and 2-3 sodas all in a small area. I also found Gorka pants at a police station. I don't understand the system yet but it looks like your going to have to farm/hunt or keep moving looting locations constantly for food. The zombies are really easy to use guns on now, their agro radius for the sound is small. They're not very accurate homing in on the noise and don't look for very long before they go back to wandering.

Usually 3-4 hours I believe but there's an update today and It's "taking longer than expected". An hour or so still based on the new eta.

If you have auto updates enabled (default I believe) just click play as you normally would and it will update first.

Set your windows resolution to the TV's native resolution. It should be 1360 X 768 for a 720 16:9? Or 1280X720?

A little over an hour if I did my timezone math right, and they're on time.

I saw complaints of it in the early release of ESO before they added an FOV slider. My rig is 3X32" TVs at 3840X720 and I play 1pp just fine but if I try and watch it when my kids are playing I get dizzy and a headache.

I spent the last week hoarding and hiding stuff to try and practicing getting back to it. The hive is likely going to reset tonite and I'm not in love with the location I used this time so... I took what I wanted and logged out for the day because I have stuff to do around the house. Notable items still there,1 maybe 2 fnx45 mags, 2 rak mags, ak101 and 2 mags, assorted ammo (lots of 5.56mm, 7.62X39mm and 9mm), mp5 with 2 mags, sportster and at least 4 mags, worn bipod, gorka jackets and pants, vests (no hi-cap), sks, ak74, 2 mp133 long ones and one short one, trumpet, pistols, and a ton of food and drinks if you want to blast there and recover. The server is called "Dayz" ip 173.199.102.40:230 the location is right at the tip of the finger of trees 500m north-north east (031°) of the Novy Sabor police station. It's a pile of drybags and guns with one bag in a fir tree a few meters north. The server is public, usually low pop and has no BE ping kick. All I ask in return is that if any encounters come of this lemme know how that went?

It wasn't tents. I picked a spot in the middle of the map and dropped a bag of survival gear like food, seeds, water, an axe, and a shovel. Then I spent the week running "missions" to loot spots leaving in basic civ clothes and no bag and returning to my "base" with the goods. I wanted to try different guns and work on my orienteering now that the compass works again. By the end I had a pile of guns and 10 or more backpacks full of gear and ammo half an hour from any spawn and 2 trucks at one point. I know the 101 and fnx mags are hard to come by and figured I'd steer anyone who wanted em bad enough to them before they got deleted. This week I'm going to try to manage 2 camps, one farther East and one farther South. It's practice for when persistence finally works and loot gets rarer and a fun little mini game while I'm at it. I'm getting a licence for another copy for my kids to play with me. I get to put in allot more hours than they will so I can have gear ready for them as well.

Yeah, I noticed it doesn't have the blackout like the LRS. I use 3 screens and I don't know if you've seen how our outside (peripheral) monitors magnify to start with... I'll equip a damaged PU on an SKS just to use the zoom on my extreme sides of my display.

I meant the weekly persistence cleanup.

I'd hope if they do they tell me about it or even better record it.

If you're on the south coast there's also a blue truck hidden at the end of the clear strip in the trees 700m north (347°) of the grocery store/gas station in Bay Tikhaya.

I'm hoping there'll be some stories. I figured making a social experiment/random encounter out of my hoarding would be more fun then just letting the game delete my mess. Check the town as well there's been a loot puke situation there, found 2 pristine LRS in the garages lots of mp5 mags in the police station.

I'm on rural sat/cell internet, not saying someone else couldn't use this as a trap. I'll be nowhere near that place, my lag and desync would trap me.
