Alright, I'm convinced. The game is absolutely screwed and unplayable. I'm no longer dying to get off work so I can log in finish looting the town I logged out in and get back to my tent full of food spare clothes an whatnot. Oh an those impossible zombies the ones that I snuck around or kited out of town because I'm trying unarmed evasion. I must have just imagined that because they're too hard. This "hatdcore survival" game is too hard, pls fix nao!

So you don't like it, no one does or should? Talk about smug. I was burning out on easy mode .54 now I'm having fun being challenged.

Just speculating but I'd expect some scheduled cleanup resets especially if anything exploitable gets found with the new loot system.

I'm sure they'll need to do more persistence and character wipes before 1.0. I'd hope the give some warning though.

When I come up with enough seeds I'll try some things. As far as harvesting seeds I've tried with a kitchen knife an a hunting knife with no luck.

Have you confirmed that? My 1 of 3 rotten tomatoes was the second one I watteted the last one was fine.

My private hive army tent has stood since Friday or Saturday. Lost 2-3 mid to late last week on public though.

Sorry if I'm coming across as an ass but it's frustrating. This guy here sums it up for now this goes for us "hardcore" players. I'm going to fight and argue to get what I want. So we should have different rules for different parts of the map? Allot, not all but allot of coast rats want to be able to easily fuck with people taking the game seriously and will if given the chance. That's the problem.

The smersh packs are anywhere backpacks are found now, random and rare. I found one the other day in a deerstand or feeder I think.

There is a compromise, go on steam try another game? There is more than one and some room for diversity in the playstyles. Everything doesn't have to compromise to please everyone because it can't work in real life. You just end up with mediocre shit that suits no one perfectly.

I'm not try to be an "elitist" here and not ragging on this guy but this is where I'm coming from... What about us who want to and can play 5+ hours a day? do we deserve to have any games that favor our wants and needs? I want to spend hours building up my character through a grueling, tedious, process that punishes mistakes harshly and not get smoked by some IDGAF kid who put 20 minutes in to go kill for an hour and then log off for bed time. This is a "survival simulator" survival is boring, it's tedious, you make mistakes you are set back or you die, it's only exciting when it goes shitty. The game still needs to change some but some casual players need to change games really.

Been gardening for months to avoid high traffic areas and never seen this. Only found rotten apples on one tree once and it was every other on then a streak until I changed trees. (edit) Logged in and started a farm after posting, 1 pumpkin, 3 tomatoes, 1/3 tomato plants was all rotten.

There's allot of people who bought this game for the wrong reasons and broken/not yet implemented mechanics. They just don't get there is a market for huge time sink games and lots of instant gratification games already out there. I'm personally enjoying a longer more painful experience getting from spawn to healthy/hydrated and then to "geared" whatever that means to you.

I lost my first couple and a spare aks74u, mags and ammo I carried over from .54 on Wednesday. Another with just farming stuff on Thursday and a test bag later that day. Lost a a test bag Friday and Saturday all on public up till this point. Found a private (vilayer) hive on Saturday and a big military tent which has stood since acting as my food base 20-30 minutes from most spawn points. Are we still loosing them on some public servers?

Keep your pinky finger off the shift key unless you need it until your statuses are in check. You can make it to the center of the map jogging on 5-6 apples in 30 minutes jogging. Loot starts getting better after there and check every building in the small towns, even the ones that used to spawn nothing.

Where are these statistics coming from anyway I keep seeing 70-75% of players hate this update yet I was never surveyed? Three quarters of your clan mate or friends didn't read the road map for the game devolpment maybe?

I could be wrong but I believe I read the server restart is because of a memory leak on the servers?

I'm confused now, is it hackers looting bases with the help of unemployed people? Are the hackers also loot the unemployed peoples bases? Is there some hacker/unemployed people conspiracy going on? What's an epoch?

If you spawn in and sprint everywhere you're going to starve/dehydrate faster. Jog or even better walk to and from foraging spots and wells until you get inland and get your statuses in check, save sprinting for when something is chasing you. Don't forget you start the game on the verge of starvation and dehydration, once in check you can go 2 hours if you move like you're trying to survive long term. Get used to this they're slowing the game down and sprinting endlessly's days are over.

Cool, I killed my first deer the day .55 rolled out and was actually almost freezing so I wandered around with the warm guts in my pockets until they cooled. I'm almost always carrying at least 1 burlap sack to make stash bags around the map though but now rope seems harder to find.

I knew about the guts as a heat pack but rope? Is it a right click procedure?

What you speak of is called window dressing and will be added later in development along with mixing up some of the generic buildings and wrecked cars littering the map.
