The lol part is that in the town 5 minutes away they have dsl and cable but the utility companies told us we'd be dead before they run good enough tel wire and cable company wants $1000 per household to run their wire to our sub division. A house across the street recently sold for 1.5mil but none of us will pay them to put in cable and then pay a bill monthly so dishes are the norm here. I have a motorcross track for me and the kids in my yard and lots of space so I just suffer with the stuff I don't have ;)

I personally loved BL2 and Skyrim but burned out on the eazy loot and TESV lost it's appeal when I switched to WSG and it had shitty support for it. My money is on the fact that the buy a game and burn out crowd will pay for DayZ development then get bored and leave by the time it's finished. Like you said we'll see right?

I don't think retarded means what you think it means. If you spawned within 5 minutes of my rural house you would find numerous civilian and paramilitary guns, thousands of rounds of random ammunition, backpacks, tents, camo and pink clothes, canned goods, and a bunch of "useless" shit that may or may not be useful in an apocalypse. That's without any crazy looting on our part as everyone turns into a zombie. Looking everywhere including the most unlikely places would make more sense than go to this building for this specific gear. But yeah, the loot route that would obviously be established in the time before our character regains consciousness is well over my head.

Some of us think an easy grab a gun an peeveepee game is boring, there's lots of them. There's few that don't fit the mold as far as ease of survival go and there is a market for something different, different seem to be a difficult concept to understand.

Good point, when shit gets hairy it's human nature for our organizational skills to improve to 10/10.

Just for an experiment if some one gets in this position try unplugging your network cable.

I don't know if it has changed but my internet drops regularly so I even tried forcing it by unplugging my network cable. In both cases I logged back in standing beside the truck even though I disconnected while driving. It would be nice if server resets worked Luke that.

Pick up a copy of the SAS survival guide, lots of basic to advanced stuff and generally a good read.

Every time I try and throw something the animation bugs and it goes like a boomerang back into my hands the drops at my feet. Sometimes I see it fly out and back sometimes I don't but it never goes anywhere no matter how long I charge it.

Finding a truck at somewhere they don't spawn with the doors closed and a full tank is also a good sign.

Woot, X2 Athlon 3800 with a slight OC here I go down to 2 fps in some places. I hear Intel CPUs are where it's at in general these days.

I was driving a truck one day and the admin call me by name in a creepy voice and said "Do you want to play a game?" that scared the crap out of me. Played regularly on another where the admin would loose his shit over global anytime him or his guys got killed then double reset the server.

My 2 home servers are on 4 hr restarts starting at 11pm, they were previously starting at 9am.

Not all apple trees are created equal, the starving to death picking them is a weak excuse. I was watching tv last night low on blood killing the last hour before the servers went down. Just to see so I tried at the trees along the road south of Vyshnoye. Tree one, 1/5 or so, tree two nothing in 10 tries, tree three was 1 every other pick or better. In under an hour I got stuffed filled my 6 slot pants, my 6 slot jacket and all but the top row of my drybag plus the ones I ate to keep stuffed. In less than an hour I went from almost unconscious low blood and orange hungry to hydrated, energized and healthy with at least 18 apples for the road. A little tedious yes but it was far from impossible.
