Guns don't spawn loaded yet, someone dropped it. Most likely they we're double carrying and drank a soda out of the car or something tho that effect.

You're entitled to your opinion but I disagree. I'm fine with the danger of being in a hotzone on a high or low pop server If we clear our approach and keep looking for other parties entering the area and miss something and get whacked that's one thing. If we clear a tent or building and someone ghosts into it right after behind us that's very immersion breaking. One time I made a run an hour from camp to Vybor barracks cleared one building was just turning into the second and caught something out of the corner of my and got smoked by someone leaving the same building I just left, no way he entered the camp any other way than hopping and the little squeaker laughed about it, that is weak. I get that clans rent servers but some not all go on other servers clear all the good loot spots like heli crashes after a wipe or ghost form one barracks building to the same building over and over again to get multiple ak mags etc taking it back to their rented server. Us people playing as intended are ecstatic to find a gun of any sort and the correct ammo because it's an apocalypse sim not a military sim. I didn't say I was pissed I just think that type of play is better suited to other games and really a waste of all our time.

I did a fair bit of hopping relatively early in my day "career" but could tell the game would get stale fast and just plain felt dirty. What I was getting at was my son and I played eight hours before momma wanted her laptop back and it flee by and was a blast. We still should have had a chance of finding an ak mag or something cool but that stuff gets taken out of "our" game by someone playing another. I get the whole all play styles are valid but jumping dimensions in one building to fuck the RNG into giving you the best gear and kosing anyone who you ghost in behind while doing it us weak.

Thought about how that was poorly worded after. We have s camp 2 clicks away, entered the hot zone from there, looted, returned to camp, switched servers at camp. Teaching my boy not to take the easy way.

Any "interaction" I've had once geared has ended with one party dead, usually me trying to give them a chance. I watch the player list and have seen a few familiar names but on low pop servers. I play with my son now and just not sure if we'd give a geared player a chance to talk or not based on past experience.

I can't wait for .56 either. My son and I started playing on public and the mil bases are a joke. We found 3 servers without ping kick and looted nwaf one end to another 2 servers had nothing but boots clothes and if we were lucky a makarov mag, the third was packed but already worked over for anything good. I watched the player list all day and one or a few clan members hop in for fifteen minutes and hop off, wonder why they do that on relatively low pop servers? Lok, jk they're ghosting in grabbing any thing good and fucking off back to where they play. I can't see how hotspots ate going to work for us playing dayz and those playing loot up for group peeveepee.

If you do try and intentionally farm stuff it seems to favor the commonly spawning items so it would take more than one backpack. I shuffled about 20 bags out of Vybor military base before .55 and it just spawned more gorka clothes and makerov mags disproportionately. Now in Stary Sabor where my camp was I cleaned the police station, grocery kiosk, and the garages and that got me 3 LRSs at the garage. -
What direction from the helicopter? My boy and I found a US helicrash with 0 loot and as PlasticAssasin8 mentioned about the police cars the loot usually spawns some distance directly behind them.

Finally found a no ping kick private server with other players so being home alone all day I decided to start building up a character with the risk of getting shot now. Got my ass off the coast and with a tincture bottle and a pond did a little plot of zucchinis to try and get my stats up, they must be low in calories because 6 didn't even get rid of hungry before I was stuffed. Too the extra ones and started to move on and made the brilliant move of standing in the middle of the road and spending too much time confirming my location on my phone map. Snap, thud, snap, snap and I'm a runnin' pretty sure they came from behind me. I get in the tree line and put a couple of the medium evergreens between me and where I'm guessed the shots cam from and bandage up, sprint a little deeper into the woods and lay under and hidden in a nice bushy tree. There I stayed for a good five minutes hearing two more shots not in my direction from what I think is a suppressed sportster about half way through my wait on the road down below. I veer off at a forty-five from the road and make my way to summer camp where I find the rice and soda to get my blood back. That was an adrenaline filled change of pace from my usual quiet zombie avoiding, played another three hours on this badassed survivor now respectably geared before logging for dinner. About to shut down crome and get back in there to return the favor.

In my experience the empty or really low loot areas stay empty but the lootpuke zones will instantly respawn stuff just out of sight. I saw a beartrap spawn when my son picked up a makarov mag 10 meters away and at neaf I took a bag of pistols out of the control room to the water tower and came back to a longhorn on the floor that was not there when I loaded the first bag. -
Tents, have 6+ boxes and a bunch of loose rounds most found at NWAF and the tent city in the west.

My son and I found a lootsplosion prison at the one up the hill from nwaf. I was parking the truck by the well and alcove out back and as he was telling me he found/picking up yet another makarov mag I saw a beartrap spawn in said alcove. I was doing the backpack trashbag thing before .55 dropped and my anecdotal results confirmed that you can trigger/encourage lootpukes in the .54 system. *edit* Red_Ensign do you play under that name in game? We saw your name on the shitty low pop no ping kick server we're forced to play on by our shitty sat internet. -

My son and I had three lined up in the trees and I said "woah... shoot the one stuck in the tree in the door first before you get in!" It skiddered fifteen feet down the hill towards the driver's side before it settled. Damn sure that would have killed him touching the door handle, thank you big time for saving my boys life. -
So if something catastrophic happens and your're "too good" to pick apples for a few minutes or plant a garden and wait ten you're going to complain to the makers of the Apocalypse? This is touted as an end of days sim not a gear and peeveepee shooter, move on and find a game that suits your playstyle/time constraints.

That's exactly what they're doing exaggerating to "prove" their point. Been playing with my son all week and aside from fifteen minutes after spawning of apples overdoing it so we can go farther without stopping early on. We grow two pumpkin plants at the beginning or end of our evening session we completely ignore canned goods to make room for the absurd amount of ammo at mil spawns right now. If you're dying of starvation you just plain suck, l2p or move on.

The new dynamic reticle looks nice but is still inaccurate for hipfire :(

I think they changed it to discourage hip firing, the sights work great if you see your target before it see you which is kind what you "shoot" for in a gunfight. -

I've still only been killed by getting out with the engine running and starting to walk away while the controls to the truck are still coupled. I glitch flipped one last night twenty feet into the air and didn't even pop the tires and my son did the same thing when we got a second truck and blew the front four tires and popped the gastank. We survived both, guess I've been lucky. -

Saw the plains last night, still there. The tents are persisting on public and some private servers, I don't play my pub because the server is stuck on night time but pop in to interact with the tent every couple days... still there. -
I don't remember where but there was word on them either being able to or working towards being able to wipe persistence without wiping set up tents. I still see them needing many planned wipes of the map and possibly characters before 1.0 and a few whoops wipes as well. The private I'm playing on with my kids is giving mil gear like a pinata which is fun for "training" purposes but not the game I'm hoping this turns out to be. The amount and rate a two man team can move, hide, and hoard this stuff at is ridiculous. *edit* I didn't vote because there's no box for polls are stupid and useless.

Still not sure where this farmville reference comes from either way. I've been farming since I started a few months ago and if you do it right it's 10 minutes or so ever few days. I've recently started playing with my kids and we build a bag camp outside any good towns. Our last step before we move on is to plant a farm and organize our packs withe the gear we're going to take with us while it grows. I agree all playstyles are valid and if loot scarcity makes a mature playerbase interested in their characters survival a farmer could could be one as well if one were so inclined.

I believe it was already stated somewhere on the subject of true persistence 9-12 days. I don't think it's implemented yet but coming with the item "lifespan" as the CLE development progresses. -
I'm getting kinda worried now, maybe Hicks is just telling us what we want to hear. Then BI can get all our hardcore monies to pay for the game the casual "majority" want. It's not like there's allot of "fun" games for casual gamers to enjoy already. Seriously some people won't stop complaining until every product we encounter are as consistent and bland as a McDonalds burger.
