I'm looking forward to a dirtbike also. I don't drive because I have no stereoscopic depth perception and a social anxiety disorder, I can pass driving school with flying colours but get the government employee beside me making check marks and I'm like an spca chihuahua. I fake depth perception by knowing the size of objects for the most part and have no problem "racing" off road vehicles and can put a 30,000 lb forklift anywhere it'll fit without hitting anything but had to fight over the "do you see the square in the box" machine at the dmv before they'd even let me try. I absolutely hate driving anyway so I acquired a wife and bought her a very well appointed minivan to drive me and the brats around in and I just stare out the window like a happy dog.

I have terrible eyesight and no depth perception IRL so as long as it's on a big wide display I just go off whether things are moving in relation to my movement. Putting object detail higher than other settings makes loot pop and I'm good to go. Is it moving? Is it a threat? Has it seen me? Put it in the center of the screen, hide, or get away is all I need. I actually have almost 800 hours and have had a blast.

Yes, the game will play. What people consider "playable" is subjective. EXP is down so for fun I posted my specs. in the thread Stryker linked to see if the experts think I imagined the almost 800 hours of fun I've had so far, check it out if you want a laugh. You may "have a bad time" or you may be fine with it but in the end you'll own the finished optimized relesed version of the game for a discount when it comes out.

Not sure, I just found the 1 process that Cortex found that I hadn't noticed and uninstalled the Razer software and went back to doing it manually. I leave taskman maximized on the performance graphs on my right display so I can tab out and check if I have a memory leak or if something starts back up while I'm playing.

Desktop CPU: Athlon X2 3800+ with a slight oc, it has 2 cores so that's 200% better than 1 amirite? Cooler: Dunno got it and the cpu out of a $2 water damaged garage sale tower so I'm guessing it's watercooled? Ram: 4gig dunno what kind, asked the computer store guy how much would fit and he said 2gig x 2 HD: Hitachi HDT721064SLA 650gig I got out of a family members trashed computer in exchange for salvaging their digital pics and music. Vid card: NVIDIA GeForce 650Ti Displays: 3X32" 720 led RCA tvs from "the Walmart" running 3840X720px with NVIDIA surround. OS: Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit. Other: Lots of stickers on the tower, not sure if it makes it faster but it looks badass and lots of cat hair inside. Will this play DayZ or am I gonna be a disappoint?

No way to default it to high priority I know of but would like to know if there is as well. You can alt+tab in and out of game to use task manager after it's started and using the startup flag -nopause seems to make tabbing in and out faster. The OP's suggested booster will kill task manager along with other processes too BTW.

Yeah, that's what we do to play arma 2 together. We host it on the laptop that has a better cpu, I'll even play warfare against the AI hosting it on the laptop while theyre using it to watch netfix and my game doesn't bog as bad as if I host and play on mine.

I'm hoping for lan game capability too, sometimes I'd like to play with the kids without KOS a-holes and a ping of 2 instead of 500+.

Not to throw around generalizations but from what I've experienced playing both 1pp and 1pp on 3pp servers we're playing (at least) two different forms of the game on average. As time goes on and things change the amount of servers will also change to have decent playerbases for different styles of playing the same game and we'll hopefully all be able to find a "home". If this game pans out like it was advertised to me I think we'll lose a large amount of the "leet peeveepeeers" but gain a bunch of survival sim players and even out the 3pp/1pp player ratio. I heard about this game when early access came out but waited quite awhile before paying to alpha test, lots of people are even more cautious than me with their gaming dollars and will wait until beta or release before they commit to this community.

It's better but the viewpoint is still kind of high. It's a good compromise for someone like me who only plays 1pp even on 3pp servers. I normally close services and processes that I'm not using manually before playing to get from slideshow to barely playable, I think it just found something I'd been missing. I'm due for a reformat by a longshot anyway might try this Windows 10 and start fresh.

I'm running an antique tower and did't really get to play because I'm busy but a quick test had me in the mid 30s moving, never seen higher than mid 20 staring at my feet. The video looks like it's outdated compared to the version that installed though.

It is ugly, It kept my recently deceased (ladder accident) guy out of hotzones and provided the hoarding space he needed. I do look forward to the dye system working too or even being able to spray paint the damn thing.

Put it in the suggestions if you want but I'm sure the ambiance and window dressing are on the developers to do list. I'm doing some renos around my house and know damn well there's no trim around some of my door frames but I'm not putting it up now when the flooring is going to be a 1/4" higher and I'll have to rip it down and redo it once the floors are done. I get it if I desync but pushing the direction key I'm stuck towards once and releasing it fixes. I get it If I swap hotbar items while moving as well same solution. Seeing as how we can only see a campfire for 50m before they dissapear completely I think we need the new render before worrying about drawing unwanted attention with our fires on purpose.

I cant make any guarantees and I sad we're on similar specs I'm down to 12 in the heart of big cities sometimes less if there's loot explosions like happens as they change the loot economy. I only have a 650ti and I'm running it across 3 720 TVs so you video end would be less taxed. What's playable to me might not be acceptable to but at the same time this game should get smoother as it develops, we've already seen improvements when the new UI was working on experimental. I'm not an avid PVPer etither but have killed about half the people who've forced my hand. Just wanted to give you a ballpark because I'm still rocking the X2 and not many of us are, mine is only a 3800+ with a slight OC aswell so you're doing a little better there too.
