Yep, the dark camos in general work if you can stay in the treeline but are counterproductive if you have to cross open ground. The other thing about full ghillie is it's pretty much like carrying a sign that says "I'm here for the KOS" and even a non hostile player like me would see that as a threat and shoot you without my usual "hey buddy whats up?"

With my big screens and ultra wide setup I have a hard time seeing my whole hotbar without scanning with my head or eyes and it makes it real hard to tell anything but 1,2, 9, and 10 by guessing because they're close to the edges of my center screen. I stuck white sticker paper on the bottom frame of my monitor and wrote the numbers on in sharpie. I use my compass constantly so I for one would love to have the hotbar always up.

My son and I use the iZurvive app on our phones and tablets and the in game compass. I've memorized most of the map but if we want to meet after spawning in or get somewhere in a straight line avoiding roads and towns it can give you a compass bearing and jog/sprint time. You still have to figure out where you are initially but it's a fun way to learn to read a topographical map and use a compass properly.

Until you try and use a ladder, lol.

The way the game renders grass in the distance the tan natural colour is better overall. Junior and I messed around with hoods awhile back and the green painted ones seemed to stick out more than blend in.

Anyone else using this? What do you think of it? It downloaded on the laptop the kids play on when we updated their amd video drivers and seemed to work pretty well. I decided to try it on my old desktop which is pushed pretty hard just running DayZ itself and a quick 5 minute test with a webcam seem to work pretty well. Most of the recording was looking at the the server list during a a phone call with the wife and the audio and webcam looked and sounded good, you could hear both sides of the phone call but my wife is the loudest person I've ever met. Other than what seemed like a little longer than usual loading in but the minute or so actually walking around seemed about normal for my rig. I tried the Razer Cortex video recorder and it completely froze my computer for five to ten minutes while it toggled on and of. I play at 3840X720 and it plays back full fov with black bars on a single display and full resolution if I maximize it across my 3 screens.

Stress testing before stable.

Athlon x2 3800, 4 gigs of whatever ram the store had, gtx650ti 1 gig, and 3 Walmart TV's. That's why I was impressed I could record my game in extra wide and webcam without a noticeable hit. I can't even use ts3 without feeling it.

The retarded amount of military loot that has been puked out of the gaurdhouses for one. I've been playing .58 from release until last Thursday and you have to work for automatic weapons and decent vest even. I didn't play more than a half hour of .57 and I'm not sure if they dialed it down but it was nowhere near the same game as .58. If they do let the server hopping kos kiddies take their kit over from .57 the tears will be epic the first time they bambie themselves if they don't get wiped.

It's likely "hand bugging" try eating or drinking which will unstick it sometimes or relogging. It's usually triggered by interacting with a ladder while having something in your hands.

I can't see them not doing a full hive wipe before .58 hits stable this week either way.

I had exp figured at 0500 and 1700 pst (GMT-8) and player rented stable servers can be anytime they want.

News to me and I played allot of .58.

Been playing .58 exp the whole time and don't see it being very fun without persistence, hope the misunderstanding is on your part or I'll be doing something else until .59.

Not on stable, death has nothing to do with it, it'll poof on server reset. Next week though when .58 comes out it'll be camping season and they persist through death.

Persistence as listed in the status report will be in .58 when it goes to stable next week, I'm guessing exp will go down until they have a suitable version of .59 to bring it back up. We never got more than about 5 days without a wipe on exp but I would assume the 45 day thing was in place there as well.

We had working persistence that did away with the Wednesday wipes in .54 or .55 or both. They disabled persistence altogether in .57 because the first kick at the central loot economy didn't work. When .58 and .59 come out and persistence come back the Wednesday maintenance should have no effect unless they break something trying to make the CLE work.

It just lowers the base dispersion value in game, so it compensates for a higher dispersion number in the files. I have one on my SKS IRL and it compensates for the big round ball of smoke coming out the barrel with two cool ass jets of smoke coming out the sides. It also compensates for it looking less badass by making it look more badass and changes the sound a little.

Can't say I've seen in writing but with the reports of duped m4s and big changes to loot distribution I cant see them not doing one.

Knew that about 5.56mm/.223 but news to me about 0.308, might explain why my brother's m24 spec m700 was all over the board when shooting expensive hunting 0.308 ammo. I'm still pretty sure about formatting decimals though ;)

I got right in when the infected servers came up and it was all good or as good as it gets on my old machine and shitty net. Just anecdotal but after they'd been up for awhile and I had to pass through an area with them my performance seemed to take a hit like when the invisible cop car loot pile had been building for days.

Ah 0.308 is actually more correct as far as whatever they taught me in math class? It's actually 0.308in not mm or 7.62X51mm for the Europeans and Canadians. Cool story either way, absolutely game breaking, fix nao plox.

Junior and I blew up a truck a few patches ago like that, they go rusty and burnt out looking and despawn real quick. Could use that feature to try some stuff on exp right now, looking forward to it's return.
