Fill a truck with the sweetest loot you can find and drive it way out in to dubug, lemme know how that works out for you? My information says that's not a problem in SA.

Took my kid along for a suicide mission to test barrels in .58 and they dropped from starvation and cold. I tried force feeding and drinking for an hour and a half with fires near them seeing if we could save them. I even cooked cow steaks and out them in their pockets but eventually she succumbed. Not sure if that's broken or a feature.

Now that's what I'm talking about, I'd be happy with a long term goal like that but let the casuals be casuals at the expense of having less get away skill.

I'm interested/skeptical about how that will be implemented. I strive for long lives covering as much ground as possible, I don't think the time lived should affect stamina but miles traveled and possibly sprinting to the limits of your stamina then jogging walking until it "refilled" to emulate training. I think it should take a long time and a lot of distance to max this to reward players who put in the time to be an "athlete of the wasteland" and of course be able to detect sprinting in a corner or the likes. I get that it would affect pvp ability in your example but as far as I'm concerned it would help interaction in that a long time fit survivor could approach a bambi and feel them out with an edge as far as breaking off the contact passively but that's just me.

Yeah, I find it hard to believe they didn't think of that eventuality and mitigate it. I have two accounts and a fancy keyboard so aside from the new vehicles I look forward to finding and reporting as many exploitable grinding techniques for the soft skills as possible.

The problem with landmark navigation is most of the players and groups I don't want to run into as a lone survivor averse to violence use that primarily. I use iZurvive with a path plotted for an exact bearing and eta if I want to go long distances with no landmarks or dogleg around something or just guess the angle if it's a short hop along with either compass. On my displays I can actually read the numbers on the old style easier and would totally use the in game map if it was written in Cyrillic to match the road signs and you could see the compass at the same time.

I have 2 accounts and occasionally play with my 10 year olds and yes that's a fun and challenging mini game in itself. When they're focused though they are productive and can do things like loot a house while I wait outside with a better view of approaching threats. My 15 year old son is actually really good, organized, observant, methodical, and most important he doesn't argue or have "better ideas" so we just split tasks and communicate. If they were to have AI children which I doubt, ordering ones under say 12 or under to do something should have at least a 25% chance of them just doing something else because... kids. I doubt the developers will force moral perks on us but really the dog eat dog mentality is not sustainable and would fade as bad apples died or were killed off. Mankind are all descended from lawless savages and chose to civilize, the "end of the world" as we, they, whatever knew it has happened several times in recorded history and those with a moral foundation and a sense of humanity have always eventually come out on top.

There are a lot of unsupervised teens in this game and god knows when they're not fornicating or smoking the dope they're smearing their poop everywhere.

Do Zombies Dream Of A Good Nights Sleep? (Zombie feedback)
BCBasher replied to SmashT's topic in General Discussion
I don't know if you or anyone here tried the few infected spawning servers we had up for a day or so in .58? I got on one fairly early in them being there and had a bit of fun in Berizino killing a half dozen with an axe and they just kept coming, not spawning in front of you but around the next corner it seemed. My performance in the melee combat with them was good even with my sub par rig and internet. I left for the woods to try barrel related experiments and was away from anywhere they spawned. I got kosed searching for supplies near my camp and had to run back, got a beach south of Svetlo spawn which was fairly close so I just booked it. Running through the docks near where the infected were after a day or so of up time was brutal on my FPS, lag, and stuttering although I was having good performance in the woods away from them. There's some big performance hiccough with them spawning -

Has anyone tried to see if they're respawning between server resets? I know older versions Junior and I would clear towns and know they were gone for X amout of time until the reset. With 12 hour restarts there would be no problem clearing the map leading to the people arguing that there are 0 infected even though I haven't seen them I've seen screenshots. -
Love that song "Yo fat girl, are you ticklish?" Best pickup line ever.

Why is the amount I can look up limited?
BCBasher replied to WilliamTheConqueror's topic in General Discussion
I play in 16:3 with roughly 180° fov and I still can't look straight up in game like I can IRL. -
I don't like pvp but do like that other players can pose a threat. What I see the die hard pvpers complaining about for the most part is that this game isn't just like many other games that already cater to gear, kill, die, repeat which has nothing to do with survival, they don't value their's or anyone else's characters lives any farther than a tally. I prefer my interactions to be meeting someone in passing, aiding them if they need it, letting them know I'm fine if they offer, exchanging some info on what we've seen and going on with our respective dayz. I don't doubt there'd be a bunch of kill em all assholes at the onset of something like this but it's not a sustainable lifestyle and in reality they'd kill each other off in short order. If it wasn't for bugs I'd be all for a 12hr lockout after you died to think about what you did wrong and not repeat it in your next "life".

Are you trying to lure out the fecalpheliacs to start another plead for poop in the game? Seriously face paint or painted bug screen hoods would be welcome for us paler skinned players.

Worked as a trades helper and done installations for small businesses who took jobs no big company could justfy the liability for. I'm a heavy drinker who gets great ideas in my spare time. I also lived in a racily divided small city and got caught wearing the wrong coloured skin on a nice bicycle once.

Having been knocked unconscious and bled out to the point of unconsciousness more than a few times I assure you there's no timer while you're in la-la land. Just a fade to black or a white flash and some crazy dreams if you're lucky, bonus points if you don't wake up to find you pissed your pants.

That's new(ish) as far as I recall, I have a bad neck and when standing can still look a good 5° past straight up even IRL. -
I do live somewhere rural away from most light pollution and on a moonlit night I see pretty much how it looks in game after my eyes adjust, monochrome with maybe a hint of blues. If there's no moon or stars and or I'm under the tree canopy I can't see jack.

From the wiki if yo have a cheap it's probably this Multi-key rollover[edit] A keyboard with "two-key rollover" can reliably detect only any two keys used simultaneously; in other words, a user can hold down any key on the keyboard and press a second key, and be sure that the keypress is correctly detected by the computer. However, if the user has two keys depressed and attempts to strike a third key, the third keypress may create a "phantom key" by shorting out the switch matrix. This is not acceptable for quality keyboards because there are many cases when more than two keys need to be depressed at the same time, such as Ctrl-Alt-Delete, or when more than two keys are depressed because of fast typing ("rolling over" more than two keys).

Just saw a twee that says we'll have to wait for next week's status report for the audio :(

Have you ever been out side at night? The human eye losses it ability to distinguish color as light levels lower. It's far from a perfect representation but sure better than just lowering brightness.

I have discovered a new way to up the FPS

Nope, no worse either. Kept -nosplash and -nopause but don't see how those would affect anything. -

I'll bite, been having a memory leak on my old AF 4gig dual core so it's worth a try. -
Anybody still rocking a tired 15"crt monitor? Been along time since I needed game gamma to make a game playable personally. I think we could all live with about 5-10% of the game adjustable range but that's just my opinion.
