    Anti-Stab Vest?

I've found two anti-stab vests in .52, both in damaged condition and both were found on the hood of the slanted the police car east of Stary Jar.

Where am I ? (The Official)

That seems to be the east-facing hill on the north side of Novod, almost to Smirnovo. In the pic you're facing east/northeast, there's a radio tower way up on that hill in the background.

What do you want to see in .54

I'd like to see more additions to the map up north. Not necessarily more towns or loot but random stuff in the deep woods, maybe a delapidated jeep or a few lost hunting cabins. Also, more varied terrain in the far northwest woods, some steeper hills and hidden valleys, some small ponds and wildlife. edit - and caves, some small caves out in the middle of nowhere to stay dry and maybe have a fire

Anyone else playing as a hoarder currently?

I'm more of a stasher than a hoarder. I've found 3 miltents so far and currently have one going but I think it's actually a disadvantage as it's relatively easy to spot. I'm not a gun hoarder so I dont get an advantage from the wider tent slots, although I do love the tent because even though you can't start fire inside of one, you *can* start a fire and then pitch the tent on top of the fire (keeping you dry). Backpack stashes are they way to go. I use mostly sposn stashes in the woods because they are waterproof, fairly high capacity and easy to hide around pine trees. I keep my fishing bag near my favorite fishing hole, my hunting bag near my hunting grounds, my fire/cooking/food bags near my camp and my mp5k stash not too far from my favorite military barracks. Each bag gets a base level of canteen, shoes and rags, if I find an extra morphine I'll throw that in too. Also, I've found that using bright/obvious child's backpacks in cities make good stashes because I can leave them in plain view and they're mostly ignored.

Dayz SA stuck at loading screen at 320x200

OK here is the sequence I use to get the blurry start up screen back to a usable interface. It may seem like overkill with all of the restarting but it's the only way I can get it to work without it resetting itself. 1) exit dayz then exit steam. 2) go into documents and locate your DayZ.cfg file. Delete it. 3) restart steam, restart dayz. exit dayz then exit steam. (this step creates the default untouched dayz.cfg file) 4) go back to documents, locate the new default Dayz.cfg and open it with notepad. 5) change only the two lines that are Resolution_W=(xxx); and Resolution_H=(xxx); and change them to your desired resolution, for example: Resolution_W=1920; Resolution_H=1080; 6) Save Dayz.cfg and exit notepad, don't mess around with any other settings yet 7) Launch Steam, launch DayZ, now you should be able to your adjust settings through the interface or edit .cfg normally

    Fires & logs?

I know this is stating the obvious but make sure you're using the F key to chop and not left-clicking to swing the axe

Tired running around for trucks >=[

I've found two, both at the quarry near Severograd. The first one (.51) seemed to accelerate properly, so I took it to the edge of the map up north with the intention of driving it into the no-man's land desert as far as it would go, just because - but I didn't know that as soon as you reach the map's edge you fall through to your death. The second one (.52) I could barely get up enough torque to get out of the quarry but I eventually made it. I abandoned it near Gvozdno because of the noise, devs should put a bumper sticker on that thing that says "Bullet Magnet" or "Please Shoot Me"

    shaking like crazy, cant stop

You're cold but not getting any notifications about it. If you can find a thermometer you'll see that you're 35c, you need to get it over 36.5c then you'll stop shaking (I think 37 is normal). If you cannot find a thermometer try sprinting for a long time, if you don't overheat then it's definitely a cold issue. Start a fire and sit next to it and make sure you see the "I am warming up" notifications. If you don't see them then move your position a little, once you find the spot - stay there. Also very important to wring out your damp clothes until there's no option anymore (just "Inspect"). Or even better change your clothes completely - because it could take you twice as long to warm up. Depending on how cold you are (35c or 35.5c) it could take you 15 minutes or 25 minutes of boredom and waiting to cure yourself. If you don't have a thermometer while warming up check your scope every 10 minutes, you should see the shakes get incrementally better. Just be patient until they are gone completely.

    Compass always wrong?

Remove the compass from it's damaged/ruined container slot (pack, clothing etc) and put it on the ground. Pick it up directly into worn or pristine clothing (by drag and drop).

Is it just me? Weird direction loops?

I've observed that even a pristine compass can be buggy if carried in a ruined container (clothing, pants or pack). Try dropping the compass on the ground and then picking it up and dragging/dropping directly into a pristine/worn clothing.
  12. I had the jitters for 3 or 4 days. Found a thermometer and it read 35c so I gathered up stuff to build a fire. I sat by the fire and after about 20 minutes they were gone. I was steady again. Make sure you're close enough to the fire that you occasionally see the "I'm warming up" message. Also, I was using F3 to sit down next to the fire, don't know if it's necessary to sit but maybe it's worth mentioning.
