I noticed this too, releasing the button seems to stop the animation. So no more cancel current action with animations being interruptible. I'm hopeful this is for all animations, reloading and especially bandaging/medical.

Ah, I see. And how do you switch from one card to the other? Do you right-click desktop and use the Intel Graphics Control Panel? and is Nvidia Control Panel still installed? I can't know if your problem is similar or not - but I had something like this issue when 64 bit first came out, we eventually figured it out. Dayz 32-bit would choose my Nvidia card correctly but loading DayZ 64-bit would incorrectly choose my Intel integrated card... Ah, I'm pretty sure that Shadowplay is nvidia only. And since your running an Intel card, it kinda makes me wonder why you have the Nvidia references below in your dxdiag Is there (or was there) any other Nvidia related stuff on your computer? Is there anything Nvidia related in Control Panel / Add Remove Programs and Features? I'm not suggesting to uninstall them - I'm just wondering why that "Card name: NVIDIA GeForce GT 610" is in there. If somebody else knows maybe they can clue me in.

A few things to try if you're still having trouble: Go into your Steam Library, right click DayZ and click Properties, go into the General tab: 1) Uncheck Enable Steam Overlay while in-game (even temporarily, if it doesn't help you can turn it back on later) 2) Click on Set Launch Options. If there's anything in there delete it and click OK. 3) Restart Steam, give DayZ a run & report back. Good luck. edit: Also try turning off Shadowplay (temporarily, again) to see if that helps. It does look weird. Maybe they'll come up with a less immersion-breaking solution for it but I would guess that it's an afterthought, late beta or maybe even after release candidate. I'm definitely hopeful they add in a few more islands too! I want one small distant island with an apple tree, a shed that spawns random loot and a boar that runs around in full panic mode 24/7.

I was torn between New Player Controller and Map Expansion, although I know the Player Controller is on it's way and Map Expansion isn't going to happen in vanilla. I love that the map is getting more sophisticated and new stuff is being added regularly, but as far as expansion goes the devs have said it's not as simple as it might sound. I was really hoping to see a Banana in Holster vote option, but I understand that to put the holy grail up there would have been unfair to all of those other less appealing mediocre options.

There are a few things to keep in mind about the status of development we're in right now. One of the biggest things that the DayZ devs have promised (and are presently working on) is the new Player Controller. It's expected to come as part of .63 I believe, someone will correct me if I'm wrong about that. As I understand it: The Player Controller (which they are working internally on right now - and as such we can't see the progress of ) is directly related to many of the current bugs presently in the game right now. If there were no new Player Controller on the horizon they would have fixed already - or would be presently fixing - all of those many existing bugs. But there is a new Player Controller on the horizon therefore it makes no sense to spend countless man hours fixing the present-tense bugs as many of those will be automatically fixed when the new player controller is implemented. I hope that made sense to you, as I also hope you're genuinely interested in what seems to be taking so long.

A server admin can ban you from any server to which he has access to. What a server admin cannot do is BattlEye ban you. That would indeed be unjust, but it doesn't happen that way. Whatever got you BattlEye banned has nothing to do with that admin and everything to do with your own computer. You'll not have any luck getting a refund especially with a BattlEye ban. There's no need to delete them, you can't actually delete one even if you wanted to. If you don't want your 3rd Person (3PP) character simply don't play him. The same goes for your 1PP character. Similar things have happened to me before. It's been a while but on more than one occasion I've had a situation where I connect to a server and I spawn in as a freshie - even though I didn't die when I last logged off. What I do when that happens is log off immediately before that character is saved to the hive and before overwrites your old/geared character. Try different servers until you see your old character, but if it's still the freshie then log off immediately again. Rinse, repeat. Sometimes it's just too late and you have to start over. Worth mentioning: You can only have one 3PP public character and one 1PP public character (and as many private server characters as you want). I've never heard of anyone having two 3PP characters or two 1PP's on one steam account so I think it's likely that you've either suffered from a server/hive hiccup (hive having not updated your character, or hive overwritten your old character with a freshie) or you've gotten your 3PP/1PP/Private mixed up. I'm pretty sure it's happened to all of us at one point or another.

I also hope they get that working again soon, for a while there we could throw paper against trees and it would stick but sadly would get reclaimed by the CLE rather quickly. On that note I'd also like to see a slightly different or darker icon for paper that has been written on, so it can be distinguished from spawned paper or ammo paper.

If this is your first time back after a long hiatus you might want to do a few things to clear out all of the archaic junk: - Make sure you have no startup parameters Steam > Library > Games > DayZ (right-click) > Properties > Set Launch Options > (delete everything) > OK -Delete (or better yet, just Rename so you have a backup) your DayZ Config folder C:\Users\(Your Username)\Documents\DayZ then restart Steam, then Dayz will create new / default configs Good luck.

Try deleting it from the steamapps/downloading folder if it's in there. Also (it might be a waste of bandwidth but) have you tried reinstalling it - only to uninstall it immediately after? That might be worth a try. Good luck

If there's anything in there delete it and click OK. It could also be a laptop thing (reverting to your integrated graphics card, I've had this happen when x64 first came out). To fix that: 2) Go into your nVidia Control Panel, on the left under 3D Settings click on Manage 3D Settings then in the right panel under Global Settings make sure Preferred Graphics Card is set to High Performance nVidia Processor (and not auto-select) Good luck.

Islands have been mentioned a few times above already, but I'm not thinking along the lines of Utes or even Skalisty/Prison Islands, are there any plans for additional islands? Maybe remote lesser islands with fewer resources?

Phabricator isn't as complicated as it first seems - it's just not intuitive at all for newcomers, many of us had the same problems when we first tried it. They should add text to the icons on the top bar IMO that would solve a lot of the confusion. Once you're familiarized it's not so bad. That said, the most basic approach (not including searching for existing bugs) is this: login to https://feedback.bistudio.com/ using the arrow-in-a-box icon at the top right. Once logged in click the plus + sign which is Create New Task and select New Dayz Bug Report. Then fill out the form (be as detailed as humanly possible) and click send. That's it. It'll be posted on the tracker and the devs will have a look at it. They'll tell you if it's an already known issue, if it's already scheduled for a fix or they even might ask for more detailed info on how to reproduce it, etc. Good luck.
