    Yeah... I was loot spawning around Balota tonight trying to get a black assault pack. Went through a cycle of finding nothing but rail attachments for M4s as well as a variety of mags for Mp5ks and FNXs... A metric fuck ton of .45ACP... and hunter boots. Cleared all those out- had a couple of polymer attachments mixed in. Went back... then it was field vest mayhem (where was that a couple days ago) where I found at least a half a dozen... then it was glow sticks- in almost every spawn location. Then every variety of camo pant / jacket... CCU... so many bomber jackets. Then a volley of officer hats. 45ACP seems to be a constant... packaged... mags... I mean I guess it can really only spawn so much stuff right now since they've pulled so much out of the game... but does it have to be this linear? Not sure.

    I noticed the same thing... Probably just another bug to throw on the proverbial pile. I've since learned you can still drink from it even when it's hot... too... so other than keeping your character really warm (that doesn't seem to result in anything either, come to think of it) it's not too big a deal.

    We're running just a normal low pop pub and our numbers aren't high enough to suspect an influx of players is to blame... I am back from a 2 year or so hiatus as well and I don't remember it being quite so definitively skewed. I hadn't found a battery in a week and last night I found 6 in an hour- 4 of them on zombies. I remain curious about which part of the CLE is either working as intended or not causing this type of thing to happen lately...

    Night is a problem.

    Persistence does a fine job at raiding bases whether you log or not. There are so many elements of realism that are side stepped for overall balance in game. Go ahead and gut a deer and turn its entrails into rope for me in 5 seconds. Tape up an eviscerated abdomen by wrapping a bandage around your left arm 4 times. Enjoy drinking that entire cooking pot full of unchlorinated water which, coincidentally, also has 4 chicken breasts in it and you're able to carry around in your cargo pants. Until there is some tangible benefit to working at night (like gradually improving the ability for a character to see in the dark perhaps?) very, very few people are going to play. You want to play at night? Seriously, knock yourself out. When it gets dark I put my character to sleep and he dreams in daylight on another server.

    Each server is given 40L of oil and 40L of water to help stay in peak working condition.
  15. You hadn't recently partaken in a cornucopia of raw human flesh or anything of that nature? It's an interesting sound- I've never heard it and I've also never eaten human flesh so by the powers invested in me by deductive reasoning that MUST be it. Kidding of course... I still have no idea. Anyone else ever heard that barrel with broken glass sound have any idea what it is? I'm quite familiar with Msta / Mcta... I used to set up my gardens there for people running past... but that was a LOooooooooooooooong time ago.

We don't deal with opinions here, sir- even those calculated with exposure, experience and expertise. Mostly kidding but I TOTALLY understand the inclination to provide a disclaimer.

  18. And that modder will then breakaway to launch his own standalone version of his DayZ mod... a military sim called "Armagerd" where zombies are modded to soldiers. Available for Early Access in May, 2019! I think that sounds like content for an up and coming leaked audio transcript...

    Hello my name is Martin I have a problem we have a Root Server DayZ standalone and I wanted to connect my server to Dart Toll but I need the BEServer_x64.cfg and in the battleye orner the datai is not in the folder as can I use the BEServer_x64. cfg so i can connect please ask for help thanks.   21. Seems to me there was a good run between about .53 and .58 or so where things were okay- and then they put a pretty short lifetime limit on everything... You had to rush around and interact with everything at certain intervals talked about earlier... And yes, forgot we actually get more gear now to start out. Not sure why- but there we go.

    Reviews starting to come out

    DayZ devs seemed to lose interest in preserving that uniqueness and instead pandered to the shorter term PVP crowd- which was my original point. There is 0 about PVP in DayZ that isn't done better by any other PVP title. And now there's very little that sets it apart in its niche market of PVE... since it's not doing that very well either and never really has done so in a consistently reliable fashion. So we're left in a state of ambiguity a few weeks after the launch to 1.0 that we all knew was going to be a gong show while the devs enjoy a holiday that couldn't have been more poorly timed. Like I said in another thread... everyone needs a vacation but when the forecast includes launching a severely bugged project to catch money train at Christmas time- plan around it and take the holiday when the dust settles.
