EXACTLY... Fool me once shame on me but when brand new kits are evaporating after a a single use on damaged equipment something else is afoot. Strangely I can get people to fix my stuff and it doesn't impact them yet every time my current guy touches these things they disappear.

Do you just swamp around the forums looking for people to hit on or do you actually play the game?

Awesome. Got killed last night and my buddies were nice enough to stick around and save my gear. I made it back to them, played for another 2 hours and had to log out. Log in now and half my shit is gone... shirt, gone. Weapon... gone. Helmet / visor... gone. Fucking 1.0. What kind of backass pageantry is this?

If you mean whether cars spawn with them- I don't think so... but it's hard to tell out in public since there's always a chance someone put it in and left to go get more attachments. I haven't seen a generator spawn with a spark plug either... similarly I don't find any type of flashlight (other than the one we spawn in with) or scopes equipped with batteries... I think cars will randomly spawn in with certain number of tires, fluids and... maybe a rad? But I'm just spitballing since I don't hunt vehicles that much. @Parazight would be better qualified to provide a definitive answer.

Think you'd probably need to leave one for awhile- don't interact with it at all. They gradually sink into terrain at which point they become death traps.

Yes, you were. Red hydration bar = dehydrated. Pro tip: Don't run straight to a military base from the coast without managing hydration / food. I'm not sure if saline ever actually combated thirst though the way it's worded in the wiki it's misleading... I remember it contributed to blood volume but at a different rate than blood bags.

No... I left for about a year and a half. I popped back in at the end of December. The guys I knew who fit that description, ie: Emuthreat, Coldatrophy, IMT, are on the edges... we see them pop in. I'm not sure who you're talking about specifically but I'd probably remember the names.

People are slowly starting to come back... I've been seeing more guys like yourself popping their head in for one more round. People are generally appalled at the 1 month beta and the state of this 1.0 after 5 and so years but it could be worse. And better.

This gets brought up almost daily... and for good reason- because the glitch is REALLY annoying. They're aware of it but a fix has not been communicated- at all. General agreement is you can organize your server search by time... but first trim down your search results to <100 ping. From there you can see the hosts with medium / high players and you can be relatively certain those are closer to daylight than the others. You can also use those higher pop numbers to gauge in game time in servers located above and below the higher pop cluster since higher pops will almost unanimously be in daylight conditions. Sometimes you stumble into a morning server even if it's got a moon- if it's immediately above (or below, depending on how you have your time filter selected) the higher pop cluster. If you're happy just dropping into medium or high pop servers this makes things easy. Those looking to cool their jets need to look a little harder.

Easiest way is probably a service like imgur or tinypic- assuming they can be used... seems to me one of them is allowed and the other isn’t but I can’t remember which is which. Youd basically just upload them to the service and use the IMG link provided there directly onto the board or insert it into the “insert other media” for insert image from url... just make sure not to use the code for posting to message boards and then post that link to insert other media. Not sure what your level of savvy is so I hope I didn’t just confuse you- if you’re unfamiliar I’ll be a bit more thorough next time around.

Some of the initial feedback I’ve been reading in the current experimental branch thread suggests that zobs are a more tangible threat though not necessarily because of ai improvements.

I am in the same position as you- I took a long time away and am trying to get back into it again. I couldn’t have tolerated some of the bs alone- I have some good folks to play with and it helps soften the edges a bit. But we are enjoying some things- one of our guys got killed getting in a car... another just died to a door glitch that killed him in a wall while trying to close a door behind him to block zobs. Heh. Yeah that kind of bullshit. But we got them back on their feet again and we keep on keepin on. I couldn’t play this shit alone. Good luck.

There are some threads on this specifically that identify the folder you need to be backing up so that you can restore. The basic general order is to back up the specific file frequently so that if your server does crash you can just drag and drop the file to restore the one corrupted during a crash. I dont run a server but that’s the gist of it. The challenge in some cases is that you can restore files and ruin what someone else did in the time that passed since the restore point but if it’s just a server for you that’s less of an issue.

Positive is good sometimes. They haven’t implemented a car properly but we heard about a little bird a couple years ago. I think you mentioned that in another comment. I get it and don’t get me wrong I know what you’re about but I think nothing is set in stone with this title. In fact I wouldn’t be surprised if even the title changed...

Nope. They were still having meetings about the 2019 roadmap in mid January. That’s not how planning works... Which, at least to me, means whatever they’re calling a roadmap isn’t actually one... it’s just a set of very near term ambitions that may or may not result in anything. And we have seen this consistently over the last 5 ish years.

Anything remarkable happening on the persistence front? I guess it’s early to tell but while all the hype on youboob is about the sks coming back (zzzzzzz) the fix of the game breaking persistence clusterfuck is a high importance item to many. Hoping for the best.

It’s been acknowledged- no mention of a fix though. If you arrange your server list by time sometimes you have a better chance of picking a server that’s actually what it says it is. It’s an amazingly stupid problem- but here it is.

I’m in a unique situation where I’d like to finish a video I’m shooting this morning and need a night server to shoot one last take. Currently all official servers I can see are morning / mid day... are there any you know of that are night time earlier than others? thanks.

Broken persistence. Well known issue That is here to stay for the foreseeable future so get used to it Official servers aren’t being backed up the way they’re telling everyone else to back theirs up.

They should make a marked trail around that green mountain loop- I did that run so many times I probably wore a foot trail myself.
