    Stable Branch - 0.60 Discussion

    Bug report & feedback: Encountered on 7/82016 on a password protected private hive we test on. Went to the Mishkino military tent area, two of us were there. Only visibly saw a half dozen zombies but there were likely another half dozen that never rendered in for either of us and were completely invisible. Were never sure when we were safe to start bandaging and eventually bled out and were killed by the invisible horde. Only encountered invisible zombies here. Further testing of Hyperthermic (too hot) status reveals that it's harmless it will not kill you. It does however make you thirsty extremely quickly and is incredibly annoying seeing red text spamming when you are usually looking to see if you are bleeding. The CR527 rifle is completely useless. In comparison to the Winchester it has less range, less available ammunition, less power, and requires a magazine. Likewise the IZH rifle I have never once seen in actual use or the P1 pistol as finding both the handgun and a magazine is so rare. The CR57 pistol is now quite rare and its magazines are even rarer. I have had at least 6 full runs through every town in Chernarus in the .6 update and have seen one CR57 pistol and one magazine. The crossbow is completely useless with extremely low damage, fire rate, accuracy, low range, and extremely rare ammunition. If you could craft your own improvised bolts or be able to recover fired ammunition and recover bolts from bodies it would make the crossbow more viable. Vehicles are pretty damn useless right now. At first I thought oh cool you can fix up cars yay realism! Now it's just extremely annoying running through half the map spending 3+ hours for all the parts only to have the vehicle wiped in the next restart. Was honestly a lot more fun to just find working vehicles that wouldn't have their tires pop the moment you ran over a pebble. Have been to over 30+ helicopter crashes and all military areas extensively and have not seen a Dragunov or a VSS as of yet. Have not seen a Smersh vest or backpack at all in this update. Police cars seem to only have absolute junk spawn now. Certain apartment buildings spawn a ridiculous quantity of tents and the majority have no items at all ever.

    Stable Branch - 0.60 Discussion

    Encountered a new "bug" of sorts in .60 Stable not sure if it occurred in previous versions. On a private hive test server we placed around 10x tents within 50m of the officer barracks on the north west end of the NWAF. Now maybe at most a singular item such as a soda can will spawn within 100m of the campsite. Does not affect animal or zombie spawn rates. Will relocate the camp to an open area, restart the server to see if loot returns. Also noticed in the vast majority of newly placed or moved buildings they do not actually spawn any loot. Ran the entire coastline on the private server and barely found anything in police stations. Naturally spawned, not dropped items found within sheltered areas often appear with a wet status.

    Here is some feedback. I have tested the experimental version and stable version extensively having visited every single town and point of interest on the map. Have tested on public/private hives both first and third person servers and on a whitelisted private hive. - Vehicle persistence is broken. - Drove the V3S with all pristine tires and it was moving at an incredibly slow pace. (Yes I know it's a manual transmission now and yes I'm handling the gears correctly.) It can't drive up even the slightest elevation at all now. The car is constantly bumping around and drives top speed of 30kph. - Player placed tents within close proximity to a loot spawnpoint approx 25m will often stop that building from spawning anything. - Items stop spawning in military locations after a certain time without a server reset - Zombies will immediately halt a vehicle and stand on top of it. Shooting them will damage the vehicle parts. - The AKM will not accept 30 round magazines, 75 round drum worked. - "Black holing" items still occurs where it will suddenly vanish from your hands slot when double carrying. - The temperature system is absolutely broken. Can sit still for a hour completely drenched neck deep in water naked and still be constantly overheating. - Today after 5 minutes exposure to a monsoon in full military gear, (helmet, TSKO shirt/pants, high capacity vest, 32 slot backpack, balaclava, gloves, military boots all pristine) I went from normal to hypothermic. Started three fires immediately under a covered area stacked 3x logs in each and 5x sticks kept more fuel for fire handy. Was able to dry off within 1-2 minutes and still hypothermic....hypothermic... hypothermic spamming on screen. Died within 5 or so minutes standing in the middle of three roaring fires. Took me three days to acquire my entire kit by the way. - Rangefinders are still broken and have been at least since .59 only registering 4m-7m distance. - No fruits/vegetables spawn any longer - Only chickens and maybe 3x total deer on the entire map of chernarus spawn. - Many towns have no zombies at all and others have 15+ - Many buildings that once had loot now have no loot that spawns. - Zombies do not attack through or pass through walls as much or at all now. - Gun ballistics / sounds / animations / attachments spawns all functioning normal - Is smersh still in the game? Checked 12+ heli crashes and all military locations - Broom taken out? - Only ever found one single dynamic spawned boat along the coast seem to be incredibly rare events - Seems like hydration/hunger are a constant need with my character requiring 20 gallons of water and thousands of calories per day just to maintain a healthy / normal status -

    Thought I would do a little bug report feedback. Stuck without being able to see any status effects on my character .6 stable public. Relogging did not resolve. Also had taken zombie aggro and closed a door behind me was in the center of a building and the zombie was able to hit me all the way through the wall approx 15 foot distance and from healthy knock me instantly unconscious.

    Overheating. Was wearing a gorka jacket, hunting pants, a boonie hat, and an improvised pack. Took me approx real time 1 hour of running around in, sitting in, prone in, swimming in a pond at night in the rain while naked to cool down to normal. Not sure if this is something that will normalize with a stamina system or what but it just seems like the cooldown time takes ages. Still preferable to one of the patches where you would frequently freeze to death with pristine winter clothing and standing on top three roaring fires though. Haven't really had much zombie interaction in this patch as I have been around 40% of the towns so far and have encountered less than a dozen zombies total. Have been able to shoot them from 100m easily enough or just mele them like normal. The loot system looks like its a lot more stable have not seen any loot explosions or too many completely barren areas. The loot concentration looks like as it was planned. Animal AI is a lot better now yeah occasionally get stuck but they look great animations work fine their detection is fine quantity is good.

    Encountered an odd one. A player was so badly desynced they were invisible for the first 10 seconds hitting me with mele. Once they became visible they were just standing upright with their arms to their sides without a weapon in hand. Yet they were still able to hit me with mele attacks without displaying any animation. In .59 at least could bug out animations like that intentionally standing, prone or squatting haven't tested yet in .6. Deer and other animals can often get bugged out in fences/trees/walls where they just glitch into them and get stuck. One such case it was a bulletproof deer that got stuck had to go punch it out. Items disappearing is common when double carrying. Stairs still kill people. And oh god the servers are so full it takes 3x as long to try to join a game as getting actual play time so tough to actually "Test" anything.

    Stable Branch - 0.50 Discussion

    Follow up to my previous post about .5 I'm at 183 hours now and haven't died since the new update - *** Massive bug *** - You can put items in 6 slot shirts and vests into 4 slot spaces. Shirts inside of shirts inside of vests. Which means.... near limitless storage as long as there are more shirts and vests to find. This could explain a massive lack in loot availability as server hoppers can hoard it all. I think this would also protect the items inside too. Using items not on the hot bar would be a pain in the ass haha - Helicopter loot seems pretty crappy. Found 3 helis since .5 not really any good loot - Loot spawns seem universally odd. On many servers just about everything is empty in every town and than just a few over loaded buildings - Wells, yeah .51 fixes this woo - Food. After you spawn and get to healthy status you don't need to eat again unless you take damage - Hydration the rate will be fine once wells are fixed a bit annoying to only fill from ponds/rain for now - Military loot is odd.... I have never seen an AK74 or AK101 mag. Never seen an AKM 75 round drum. I find AKM mags occasionally. Seen one Mp5 and never an MP5 mag. - Could we have all bananas be usable for the face and head? I have seen only two face wearable bananas ever. - Still have never found a tent ever - Items disappearing when dropped still happens. Especially with items like guns in your hand. - Major annoyance is a animation glitch with rangefinders / binoculars where you keep rising and lowering them hard to break the cycle - Still have odd noises every once a while that don't make sense. Chewing /drinking etc when no one is around. Other notes: - I haven't broken my legs randomly woohoo! - Performance is a little chunky around some towns now. Yet, the game is a LOT more stable overall when it comes to less frequency of crashes. - Cooking works now!!!!! At least with a fire place kit I'm so happy with this. Anyway yup I know it's an Alpha well aware of this. Just reporting my findings so far. Huge progress with this update and so exciting to see vehicles coming soon!

    Stable Branch - 0.50 Discussion

    Heyo! Well this is a feedback forum so here you go. Thanks for the hard work love the update. I'm at 147 hours of gameplay now. Played .5 experimental and the new .5 stable patch. Bug reporting:- We used to all freeze in .49 all the time. Now we all overheat all the time. It's one extreme to another. Used to get rain all the time in .49 too much. Now we get too much lightning in .50. Cool features but balance would be nice.- Dehydration. Used to go ages without drinking. Now we drink all the time it's out of control.- Can't use wells now.- Some items cant be picked up- Cooking is still broken both fireplace / gas burner. Takes ages to cook and than instantly goes from raw-burned.- Leg breaking bug is still there... stairs/ladders are scary. Not zombies or players.- Military loot spawns seems totally screwed up. Checked all military spawn locations from the bottom to top of the map on several servers without so much as a kiwi remaining- Helicopters? Have checked all over reported spawn locations, fields etc making full runs of the map on servers and have never seen one.- Weapons still disappear randomly. Especially what ever weapon is in your hand. No I checked the floor it literally poofs out of existence. - I have never seen a bandana for the face slot ever.- I have never seen an ASP or a mag for it- Binoculars will cause your character to spazz out and uncontrollably raise and lower the binoculars. Not lag, it's just one click and spam time for 15 seconds.- Items still spawn below the floor it seems in the green barracks- Zombie detection is still pretty crazy. - Zombies still go through walls- Everything is pristine (cool bug!)- The double barrel shotgun seems to have performance lowered?- Never seen a SMEARSH vest. The SMEARSH backpack is common- Have not seen one high capacity vest since .5- Performance went down especially in towns. - Have never seen a tent ingame ever- Character wipe still possible Anyway just some commentary on what I have experienced. Positives:- New content woohoo!- Way less crashes now Overall an awesome update! I know what I have mentioned are likely well known and long standing bugs. It would be awesome to have more attention paid to preventing the random deaths due to bugs as a top priority over making pink derringers and welding helmets though. Features that would be awesome:- Multi tool (knife, saw, can opener, pliars)- E-tool, compact shovel/pick- Putting a headlamp on a helmet/hat - Leg/belt holster- Ability to craft a tent/sleeping bag. Use sleeping bag as a spawn point tent as storage.- Singleplayer mode- Vehicles, civilian, military truck, jeep, humvee, helicopter, motorcycle, bicycle, boat- Muzzle device for AK pattern rifles (they have threaded barrels too!)- Rope to be used on players (Ex: Handcuff player, use rope to drag them behind you on autopilot) - ghillie suit would be cool- New loot system. Current is clunky...- A sort of player trap could be cool. Wire in doorway with grenade- craftable molotov Anyway keep up the good work. Would be awesome to focus on the major issues that have been around a long time over new content though. I mean I have died twice to players a few times during my first time playing to zombies. But otherwise have just been dieing now to stairs and character wipes.

    So far really love the new content. Haven't found out what caliber the derringer is yet so haven't tested it. Bugs: Still break your legs randomly inside buildings for absolutely no reason. Sometimes even just suddenly die. Items in inventory will randomly disappear. I'm talking handguns in backpack, medical kits, food etc. Randomly just vanishes. Items in hands will randomly disappear Items placed on the ground disappear Zombies can still go through walls Zombies detection is a bit crazy (I know it's being worked on) Some experimental server has an insane spawn rate of items so many you can't see the floor. Others you can't even find a damn kiwi for miles. Can still get stuck in the terrain Have never seen a tent Have only seen one helicopter crash Cooking food is absolutely broken. It goes from cooking for minutes on end straight to burned every single time no matter the method I have tried. Watched it intently and it went straight from raw to burned. Can't seem to get an ash stick Sounds are all strange now. Will randomly hear chewing noises etc when no one is around. The new bunkers just instantly kill you when you go down the ladder...why put something in game that will instantly kill someone... wtf? Characters can still get completely wiped for no reason too Overall, cool new hats and death bunkers are cool and all. But it doesn't seem like too much to ask for to not have my legs broken for climbing a staircase. I have been killed by a player once never even saw them. Three times to zombies when I first started out. And every time since has been due to game breaking bugs. I know it's alpha, and experimental but it would be nice to re-prioritize to fix the issues that ruin the entire gaming experience. I'm at about 90 hours game play now. Also what good are all the glow sticks, lanterns, flashlights, headlamps etc if there isn't even night time. I have only ever found one night server.
