So I am playing DayZ and I survive a few zombie ambushes. (I know, I am badass right?) and the last zombie hurt my leg and it continues to say 'my leg is in pain' and this bothers me because from my research my leg will eventually break, right? So I ate a lot of my resources as well as found a well and maxed out my consumption, now my statues says 'energized, hydrated, stuffed, and, healing'. If I continue to keep myself in good condition as my leg continues to be annoying and not ever heal, will it just always be in pain? I suspect it won't break if I do just keep my HP up. I don't want it to break so I am not taking any chances In any case, I don't want to start all over again anyway, so if anyone can answer me the question above, I might as well continue playing until I find some morphine or pain killers. Otherwise, (a bit of a risk but) can someone give me some morphine please No this isn't an invitation for bandits to come and shoot me instead. I maybe taking this game a little too seriously lol

Pick a situation and how you would best react to it. Or pick them all. Try to really immerse yourself in that situation for the most honest and raw response. 1. You are alone, desperately low on SKS ammo with one pistol with one spare magazine left, you're status is starving. You're in the out skirts of Berezino and see 3 bandits in a low lobby server forcefully rob 2 new starters who were aimlessly wondering in town. The bandits take the new starters inside a residence where you no longer have visual of them. You hear two gun shots, assuming the two innocent new starters are dead. What do you do? 2. You're a bandit amongst a small group of other bandits. Following along, you see the bandits are thoughtfully killing players who seem a threat. The bandits share the loot evenly and there is a fair system in place. Your group comes across another group of bandits however, one of the enemy bandits are your actual friend you know in person. They ask you to betray your group via private conversation (skype etc). Your friend warns you their squad is much more relentless and even if you do them a favor they might still kill you. Your friend reassures you a place in the squad though and says they will talk to the leader for you. What do you do? 3. You're spawned in Green Mountain Tower (at the very top) with decent to good gear and the only way down is the ladder ahead. Ahead of you climbing up the ladder as you spawn are two players, one with a Mosin, the other with an axe and pistol. You are not generally hostel but you are trapped and cannot go down unless they spot you. Time is running out, and in a matter of seconds they will know of your presence but are unsure of their intent. What do you do? 4. You're a hero, you enjoy helping people when you can. You come across two coastal new starters with weak melee weapons, who for the most part generally seem like they just spawned. You make your presence known and offer food, clothes and some other materials to get by. You notice as you offer your services that one of them has FNX45 which they pull out and aim towards your direction. You survive the encounter as your items are robbed from you but they forgot to take your 1911 pistol and the magazine which was inside it. They run off and turn their backs to you. What do you do?

I only ever play in First Person. It' s only when I go for long runs that I go third person, only for the sake of looking at something different. Having said that, I did notice one person with a rifle follow me out of Berezino(?) and I must thank third person mode for that because it does open the field of view a bit in my opinion. I did manage to lose them by hiding in a tree as they walked passed. EDIT: Also, how to you drop a flare that's been lit and what do I need to create a campfire? What is the point of a campire? Also (lol sorry for the billion questions) How do I get 'Soaked' or 'Damped' off my status?

What's the difference between hardcore and Regular? I mean apart from only being in first person.

Gosh I envy you. I think I would be an awesome person to bump into because I would be so happy to see someone also friendly!

If I didn't have a bad taste of people killing me on sight, I doubt I would be as scared as I am. The people I have been bumping into have been mostly teenage boys with a shaky finger on the trigger. Me - "Hello, are you going to shoot me" Stranger - "No, you sound like a newb, come on up. We won't shoot you. "Ok, coming up" *Open door* *DEATH*

So I don't want to simply throw it away. Does anybody want some of the Mosen Ammo as well as the pistol ammo I have (not my pistol ammo) Check pics in other page to see if anything I have might be of some use to you. I'd rather give it to people than throw it on the ground, I risked my life getting every litttle bit of loot. Let me know =]

Found the amphibia but ditched it for my current pistol. I might take everyone's advice and either just simply brave up and go live life or drop the equipment (I don't want to drop the vest =[) and look friendly and probably still die. I don't know what to do. I am not coping playing alone XD

@Accolyte - I think I will learn from your mistake and stay under the tree and log out =P I would not EVER bother looting bodies after a firefight!! Not unless I was a newspawn and had nothing to lose. Awesome story though! I probably wouldn't of shot the guy behind the tree who didn't notice you, for fear of missing and being killed =P @Bunkers - You're so right. but I need to sleep for work tomorrow but I still have anxiety after not even playing the game for an hour! What is this game doing to me!? @Nuckfuts - Also, another thing is I have not ever killed someone before and I have no confidence of killing anyone with my skills. I haven't fired the SKS before lol I only ever shot at Zombies. OMG Someone is going to be so happy when they strip my corpse of my gear.

Being a newb I dont' know if the stuff in my pack is all that valuable but if I see any kind of bullet, I will keep it! (As you would in real life =P) If anyone thinks I need to throw something away, by all means let me know. Also carrying a SKS. My next small goal is to find a scope for it. Yes! I am leaving this town pronto!

@Accolyte - I am really new at this game. I was in a random small village quite recently and I heard a guy talking to a girl and I was like "WTF" and stayed upstairs in this house for 10 minutes. It almost feels like I am actually there or one of those intense walking dead episodes. They would of killed me if they saw me. I hate respawning.

@Agentne0 - That's what I have been doing for the most part but the game does get boring the safer I feel. Which is ironic and it proves kichilron's point. @BelMarduk - Yeah, brilliant idea. @Fristi - I didn't know Zelenogorsk was a hot spot, I will make a note of it. Also, @kichilron, I would be playing right this moment if I wasn't afraid of what's ahead. The thing is, I don't know where is safe and now that I am at my peak I want to find some friendlies to up the chance of my survival. I won't enter towns anymore, looking behind yourself 10x more so, wasting so much time behind the trees, prone, thinking about what to do but never doing it. So much time wasted thinking. But I want to go in town, I just don't want to die.

So the splint I made thanks to the responses above fixed my leg from hurting again. So as I was hiking again, I found an open field with a little outpost that needs a ladder in order to get inside. I go inside, press 'X' to crouch and my character glitches through the outpost and falls 8 feet down on the grass . I didn't die (Thanksfully) but my character apparently was in a lot of pain because she was moaning a lot and the text 'my leg is in pain' kept coming up every 2 seconds, so I quickly went to work on another splint. Long story short, I am back exploring again!

Feel like helping a sister out? I've looked all over for these sticks people speak of, I use to find plenty of them but couldn't find anymore for some reason. I am currently in Grishino, luckily no one was there, found a little place and now I am staying hidden until I find a way out of this tough spot I am in. I am afraid my leg will snap at any step.

Hello, I was previously playing Day Z and regrettably was fiddling with the graphics until the entire screen shrunk and is now unplayable. http://feedback.dayzgame.com/view.php?id=12985 I found that page which is more or less my problem. I can't seem to fix it despite following everyone's instructions on that page. I don't know what to do. I have uninstalled the game, reinstalled it. I have deleted everything from the DayZ folder found in My Documents, it keeps coming back. I have typed in on the .cfg file the resolution I wanted, and changed the adapter from -1 to 2 in case I had two graphics cards. The screen literally won't change. I am out of ideas ='[ I just want to continue gaming. Can anyone please help me. At this point I am willing to delete my entire character and profile from the server (if i could) in order to start fresh as if I was opening DayZ for the first time. I am playing on a laptop ACER IntelCore i5-2430M 2.4GHz NVIDIA GeForce GT 520M, 4G ram ~ Ashley

IT WORKED!!!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH GUYS! I was so going crazy, and it was userterface which had to be changed. So weird, but it is solved. I really appreciate it. Now one more favor. Don't kill me in DayZ =P
