    Generally they auto-detect i think, otherwise maybe use 'media' button or something? Might have something to do with the link code too, sometimes it may be embed code or otherwise direct link? Usually just pops up for me after quoting the link.

    TRANSPORT FROM NWAF TO CHERNO

    Go west (look up the airstrip towards the tents, move ~ 90deg left and head straight) until you hit the edge of the map, folllow that let (upon facing it) all the way south, then follow the coast left/east to Cherno. :) Alternatively, you can pretty much follow the southern exit from the runway (the direction without any tent-farm on it) and if you go dead straight you'll end up slightly outside of Elektro. Angle maybe 15-30* to the right/west from direct out of strip and you'll come pretty close to Cherno. You basically just need to wander in that general direction, and you'll hit coastline. Learn the map though, it's rewarding to have at least several identifiable landmarks that you can work from, and maybe a little place to call your own...

    Hmm. i have noticed that occasionally i need to double-press use key to open some doors... This generally happens to entire buildings or all doors once i log in from memory (as opposed to only specific, occasional doors). But you can't run through them when they're in open(appear closed) state though?..

    I think he's saying that certain actions can change the state of open/closed experienced between two players, and it seems like it's a bug/glitch, not that doors are client-side like i first interpreted. It's definitely news to me, as i close doors frequently while moving into buildings so that its a physical impediment and 'soft alarm', and every time i've had someone come into the building they've had to open the doors. Still, i suppose not seeing doesn't mean not there...

You want the 'Gallery' section for posting of media, particularly where the media is voluminous and the subject of the thread, like this one. go to link: https://forums.dayzgame.com/index.php?/forum/81-gallery/ in future. A mod will probably move this thread to that location shortly, so if you're not able to access your thread through your account drop-down (top RH corner), or are not able to find it in this subforum, check that location. Name and all that will be the same, it will just have been moved. Not a fan of unashamed subscription requests though. Lots of 'tubers do this, and I've always felt that accolades should be genuine and the media should be able to stand on it's own two feet. Just my 2c. :)
  10. The immediate issue that came to mind with a smaller map was 'why have lives then'? If it's something like being forced to barriacade in an industrial complex or something, once the zombies get in or the master messes you up (presumably inside) then you're just going to get farmed until your lives run out. Lol @ Master Infected in real game though... That would be quite the experience, having some GoT white walker moving about, throwing wave upon wave of zombies at Berezino. Are you planning on having it almost like an RPG/RPGFPS for the master (and maybe the Humans) kind of like 'perks' or special skills? For humans, a direct example of what i mean would be KF/TF2, with different loadouts, special abilities and strongpoints. For the zombie master, perhaps some special abilities (other than howl) like 'Dying Light' or 'Savage'. Devour your zombie underlings for a little bit more HP but you are immobile for a period of time, and also become more obvious/identifyable as the Master, assuming you're not distinguishing them on player model for a more insidious and stealth style behaviour. As far as 'detecting' players go, i'd like to see something a little more abstract. Like a feint glow perhaps, or feint strobe, that becomes more intense as the evidence becomes more intense. So, not that you trace footprints or 'stink lines', but that sound and smell are portrayed somehow but in a 'soft' and indirect method. More work yes, but i never did like following breadcrumbs of the witcher and such. Zombie lore is that they're generally quite blind, but their hearing and then scent are very important senses. I'm at a loss to think of immediate 'victory conditions' or goals though. Obviously the master is there to exterminate or 'conscript' the humans (ala 'Infection' mode in AVP2) but what else? Does the zombie acchieve victory when it has amassed an army of a given value? When it controls a region for so long, counting down 'tickets' representing non-interactable civilian population that it and it's minions are slaughtering as they hold the point(s), similar to CQ in BF? The latter suggestion could also provide a 'swing' scenario, where it's not directly the Humans who are being hunted, but perhaps fighting for control,protection/consumption of a township. The humans? Are they aiming to escape like L4D? Do they need to exterminate all the zombies, or kill the Master, like some kind of Vampire movie - he is the key to the infection? Does killing a 'Leftenant' distribute power/control to the others, who then become stronger or have new skills unlocked, signalling one's death, but also benefiting zombies directly? That a 'zombie officer' killing is not a direct advantage in terms of winning the fight... Must the humans uncover a vaccine by going house to house accumulating equipment, break into key locations and interact with a vaccine synthesizer or schematic similar to I am Legend? There are multiple opportunities for either one-sided goals, or assymetric victory conditions. Even then, you could prolong the game even further perhaps, that once victory conditions have been 'met' and one team has 'won' then an epilogue round begins (continuous from the same game). Humans must escape, now that they have lost, the countryside devoured and the populace turned; or the Master must find a crypt to hide in, or infect a high-value-target NPC of some kind so as to pass on the king-strain, so as to either force a draw, or for 'bragging points'. I will agree though, that perhaps the mode would benefit from being slightly smaller than the entirety of Chernarus +. I think you could get away with it quite well at 1/4 the map size, depending on how many players you want. If it is something like 100players total, that issue may just disappear i suppose. Also, what's the Goss? Are you planning on working on something Lok? Comissioning a work of art? Hinting at something in the pipes, or just having a bit of imaginative fun?

    Tazers are rumored to be coming, but i don't see them having a range outside 15m or so. Real tazers may be more, but y'know. You'll need to see the whites of his eyes. I'd like to play around with 'non-lethal' or less-lethal weapons, something that causes serious shock and pain, maybe broken bones and such. The cattle prod / stun batton are told to be super effective with batteries, but i'm still reluctant to get up close and personal to anyone in dayZ.

    Fire Stations used to be good, but i haven't seen the same level of great loot there recently. Corner pubs usually have the better stuff, but now-days it's probably more food, equipment and maybe magazines or light civilian weapons. Police stations have light auto-weapons, ammunition for larger calibre, and melee. I'd make the trip to Kamenka/Pavlovo barracks to the West, then skirt up the western margain through Zeleno and then to NWAF or Novy Sobor through Green Mountain. I avoid Elektro/Berez/Cherno in general. And i don't think Svetlojarsk or Novodrimvodsk or whatever up in the NE has much in the spire or surrounds any more. That's if you're after Top Tier Mil-Gear. There's deer stands and black wooden hunter cabins all over the map that have acceptable long arms. And of course, helicoptor crashes, which are static. They're more densely clustered up in the NW, although there's only a chance that a given number of them spawn on a server at any time. So they could all be in one place statistically speaking...     Yeah, without proof of foul play there's little that can be concluded or changed. Just gotta throw yourself back into the world kicking and screaming. I record most plays now, delete if non-eventful. Very helpful for review purposes too. Shadow Play is free if you have an Nvidia chipset GPU, although it can be taxing on frame rate / resources depending on setup.

    I'm hoping world-containers are added in increased variety and become more viable to store things in. I hear that they don't hold their loot for long periods of time without destroying/deleting contained gear. I rarely have anything to give up, and don't return to sites frequently enough to check. I also am afraid of losing most things that i own because it's bare-minimum. If wardrobes, bins, letterboxes, fridges and cupboards were able to hold loot as long as a tent, then every single house in chernarus would be a potential treasure trove and would hide in plain site. There's so many there, that you could generally safely store your stuff, because who's going to check each-and-every-single-last-container?

    Herro is quite against KoS if i recall. I'd justify OP as a legitimate RP if that was the mindset he was in, and not just an entertaining recap of the experience. I think herro may have also been RPing with the permits but not so sure... Strokes for folks. Killing a man needs no justification to me though. I'd gladly cast each and every one of you to a shallow grave, although I'm sure some of you might give me a run for my money too! Chernarus+ is my turf and i want you off my god damned lawn now!

    Or justify it having occurred at times either. It's kind of the Higgs Boson of DayZ morbidity... This has happened to me before though, namely when following people that profess to be friendly, i'll offer them something. Was picking apples with a bloke and he kept trying to get me to 'glitch them' by pressing a complex list of keys, and said that would fill my inv with apples. I felt a bit shadey that he was trying ot get me to do something precarious, like HandsUP or something by accident, and started scanning around. I didn't get 360, but i got a good look in. Axe Chop. You are Dead. Suspicious, but it's the doubt that kills me... Your issue could be quite different though, despite the axe chop. I think patient players are able to move silently if they tap move keys very lightly and wait in between steps, try to synch possible footsteps with ambient noise etc... Unlikely but possible. Legit Glitch Hack Options above ;P edit: as a side note, players were recently identifying that they could spawn in, and their actual game experience was 'out of body'. The game would maintain their actual player character at a given spot, but in their PC/game they could run around, and were invisible to others. Not sure if also silent. That said, alongside glitch it could be an exploit of some kind. All in all though. You're dead and the gear's gone. Stay alert, and keep reporting any strange issues to bug tracker / record if possible. Glad to read them here too.

    I'd also recommend using 'decoy's. Something not so obvious, but more obvious than your better one. Having it too obvious might invite further search, while if it looks like a lone barrel or tent, then the decoy may work. I don't use camps, i'm more of a nomad. But in my ignorance i think my idea is great (just ask me) :P.
