Most dayz players (who always go for the easiest and least risky way) unfortunately only know the use of violence as a form of power. I spawned south of Gliniska next to a little base. The 2 players approaching me do not own the base, they came by randomly.

@William Sternritter if you are against hold-ups in general, that's fine. I am of the opinion that they are way more fair than just killing on sight, especially in military areas. So please stop argumenting in that ridiculous way. Just laughable.

He didn't cooperate and that's why I shot him. There are only 2 ways a hold-up can take place. Either the player cooperates and the robber doesn't shoot OR the player doesn't cooperate and the robber shoots. Otherwise the hold-up doesn't make any sense. Without violence or a form of pressure it is not a hold-up, it would be a request / appeal. Simple as that. False. I cannot control them.

Yes :D. His position (view to the buildings) and his equipment (I thought that zombies only carry one item, not multiple) didn't support any different conclusion. There is no KoS in the video concerning my behaviour. Not every kill is a KoS. If people shoot me without any previous interaction or reason, it is clearly a KoS. In the video I shot the players because they didn't follow my instructions. They had the option to obey or to fight. They decided, not me. I always try to catch a good moment. At 9:10 the guy starts to craft something and then I started the hold-up. After that he put his gun out. That's his decision. I had the chance to shoot him while he ran across the airfield but I didn't. At military locations it is very dangerous to just talk to people and be friendly. I already met friendly people there and it went good without the need of someone putting his hands up but if I have the chance I try to hold them up and give them a chance to survive. You argumentation is very laughable. I don't KoS. I give them hope that they might survive, that's true, for sure. But they still decide whether they obey or not. That's not up to me.

It's about time. My last notoKoS-video is 5 years ago and KoS players still represent a large part of the player base. However, at the moment, there isn't more KoS than some years ago (according to my experiences). Please let me know if you have any feedback (criticism / improvement suggestions)! Thanks 🙂

@William Sternritter thanks for your detailled explanation. I understand your point of view but I think differently. Btw, concerning your very first comment the preface answers everything.

You are right but the video still has a preface. Why is no one able to read it? Everyone knows how KoS looks like. I showed these clips because they matched the commentary. Military areas in the spawn area. According to my opinion that are areas you can loot quickly and pass through, move on inland ... A hold-up is the safest way to approach an armed player. The clips should demonstrate (in relation to the clip before) that giving up can be helpful. I don't get why people prefer to die instead of surviving a hold-up. If there is no hope for killing the robber or if resistance is absolutely hopeless it is just dumb to resist. I've had these as well. Many of my videos show that. I often tell these players that everyone can shoulder his weapon and after that the situation is "defused" for the moment.

Thank you very much. Sometimes I play on hc servers or on 1st-person-only servers. The video has a preface because of arguments like that. Read it. RP Servers which forbid KoS or that have specific zones lack tension. Thank you!

I cannot imagine something more challenging than trying to hold up people in a military compound. So I was involved in some pvp in berezino. The fight was over, I ran into a house, lay down and went afk. But someone tried to shoot me during my absence. I began to bleed. Nothing more. Are you sure that there is a balcony across the street? It's possible that another player prevented him from looting my body but I don't think that there is such a high ground position which allows you to shoot on a laying target in that specific building. True 😄
