When vehicles are implemented again, I am sure they will be able to be driven without having to hunt for parts as they were in 0.62. We probably won't have to worry about having to fix them before driving them until possibly they hit stable or until they've got the game where they want it to be.
-
Also, I believe it was the latest status report, they mentioned within the coming weeks they'll be adding features in so it will be in sooner or later, just have patience.
-
Sounds like you and your friend are still playing DayZ as if it was 0.62 or below where you can run without worrying about getting hungry/thirsty as quickly. As stated by Amadieus, don't sprint as it makes you get hungry/thirsty quicker causing you to die sooner than you would've had you jogged instead. If your friend can't handle adapting to the way things are currently then this is not the game for him as it can be pretty unforgiving. Also, in case you didn't know or hadn't read previously, you can drink from ponds/rivers without dying from any diseases currently.
-
During heavy rains, will it be harder to see in front of us or will it be just like it is during light rains?
-
Is this even a game at this point?

Wool Coats and track suits everywhere? As others have stated, you can cut them up and make useful items out of them (rags, rope (combining previously made rags) so they're not useless items as you claim. You're just too small minded to see their usefulness. Hunger and thirst. The problem here is that you're full on sprinting instead of jogging. If you jogged instead of sprinting, then you wouldn't be getting thirsty or hungry as quickly as you are. Think of it as real life, where the faster you run, the more hungry, thirsty, and tired you become. If you jogged at a moderate pace though, then it would take longer to become thirsty, hungry, or even tired. I have a feeling though that you're one of those kids that think you should be able to run endlessly without getting tired, and barely hungry, thirsty by the time you get pretty far north as it is in 0.62. Why don't you answer this question: Are you able to run for miles without running out of breath in real life? What about around a whole island? -
It's already over with as it only lasted an hour.
-
Are you wanting to play DayZ offline or have a private server setup for just you and your friends?
-
I agree. That alone will be a game changer by itself as it will allow a variety of different items/weapons to be carried without having to worry about whether you'll have to decide if you want to carry one firearm/item or drop it for a different item/weapon since both shoulders will now be usable by different types of the same type of weapons (long firearms) or different items that use the shoulder slot.

I've actually seen it rain on a clear day in Florida more than once as well as while the sun was still shining in the sky so seeing rain on a clear day in-game isn't an immersion breaker as it does happen. I agree about the before and after pictures, specially of the night sky as it should appear darker depending on where you are (city, middle of nowhere, etc.) and I definitely can't wait to test the new damage system as it will make battles even better as long as it works as intended. Sooner than we think???? Hopefully it's before April, otherwise I might be playing battletech! -
You're not even going to ask for ketchup to go with your french fries? That's blasphemy! Funny post though, thanks for the laugh.

I agree with you about the player count currently being really low, but that's happened throughout DayZ SA's development cycle as people like to test the newest features/items for a little bit then stop playing until the next patch arrives. This isn't the only game I've seen that with, and it won't be the last one either. You say that the dev's been secretive, but the question is, are they really being secretive or are they concentrating on getting 0.63 out as quickly as possible? You have to realize that the more time they spend on the forums answering questions, the less time they're spending working on 0.63. I get the frustration, and yes, it can be frustrating not having the devs coming on the forums like they had previously in the past but I'd rather they spend more time working on the next patch than coming on here and taking time away from being spent working on 0.63. As for having a community manager to relay questions to the devs and then getting an "approved" response to us. You have to realize that all responses are carefully "vetted' so that just enough information is given out without actually giving out a whole lot. You can't expect developers of any game to spend time on the forums/twitter/trello without taking away from more important work they could be doing elsewhere (working on patches, etc.) which only makes things go slower. Honestly, I'd just tell your friends that while DayZ SA is in a playable state, that it may be better to hold off on purchasing due to the fact that there currently aren't many people playing the game or to even wait until we hit 1.0 before purchasing as things should be development should be progressing faster by then. -

I agree about that dimples in the water when it rains would be great to see unless it impacts performance too much than I could live without it. -

Thanks for the laugh and while you're at it, here's a handkerchief to wipe away those tears. Seriously though, instead of bitching and moaning about how long it's taking for 0.63 to come out, why not create a game from scratch (ie: not using a premade engine), with the complexity/size/vision/etc. of DayZ and let us know how long it takes for you to make it while ironing out any bugs that come along that prevents you from progressing any further until you fix them. Then and only then, can people like you (doubtful) comprehend that creating a game like DayZ isn't easy. #RollingWithTheTrolls -

If you think about it, PUBG's type of survival is completely different compared to DayZ as they're two different types of games. PUBG's survival is more of a FFA (free for all) where there's no diseases, gardening, etc. whereas, DayZ, has those things while having a more in-depth survival mechanic than PUBG so neither game can even be considered as having the same type of survival mechanic. -

Just wanted to wish the Dev team and anyone else working to make DayZ the best game it can be a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! I can't wait to see what 2018 has in store for DayZ and it's players! Thank you Dev team for all of your hard work! -
Actually, if you read it carefully the status report states they won't be doing 0.64, 0.65, etc. as it'll go from 0.63 to 1.0 by the time they're finished adding everything they have planned.

Isn't that how it is with every game since forever? Internal roadmaps and technology change and I can understand why they haven't shown what the internal roadmap shows as things can happen that could push back the roadmap which as we all know, would cause people to bitch worse than they already do. I, for one, think that they did the right thing by not release their internal roadmap. -

Once they allow more players per server then we should see more encounters between players but until then we won't see many encounters between players. Also, I think quite a few players do everything they can to avoid encounters so they don't lose their gear, etc. -

It's funny how so many people are bitching and moaning about eye zoom being removed, but I bet those same people have no problem playing other games that don't have eye zoom just fine so if you can play other games without any type of eye zoom then you should be able to play DayZ without it as well. -

Did anyone else notice in the part of the video showing shaving with a knife that also causes scars to be removed as well? To me, this isn't very realistic as we wouldn't be able to do that in real life. It would be cooler to be able to shave and have scars gained remain on the character. Speaking of scars, it'd be cool if we could see scars from battles on our characters. I know we can't take our shirts off so we won't be able to see any scars that'd be on our torso but we'd be able to see scars on the visible parts of our bodies. Other than that, I can't wait for 0.63 as it sounds like it's going to be a game changing experience. -
I am seriously excited for 0.61 after reading what's coming with it! I am especially excited about predators finally coming and can't wait to see how they add or change the current dynamic of dayZ. I want to say thank you to the devs and keep up the hard work as it's much appreciated! 0.60 is probably the best patch to date and I can't wait to see what future updates bring to the table!

People who refer to someone as a white knight is saying that the person is trying to be a hero in a game, real life, etc. Usually, the ones saying it are pieces of crap who think they should be allowed to do whatever they want without consequences.

I would have to vote that stupid people are more disappointing than dayZ is which in my honest opinion dayZ is not a disappointment at all as it's still fun to play.
