Does anyone know the current persistence timers for backpacks? Is the wiki entry that lists 6 hours correct? Because I am very certain that during my 1.07 experimental adventures my stashes lasted at least 24 hours so I am a bit confused now.

When I connect to a server directly through the launcher, will it spawn me with my custom character selection or a random player character when I join a server I have not previously played on?

I experienced a bug with the hand slot: I killed a rooster with a screwdriver, then took a knife into my hands and was unable to cut it up. After picking up a soda can later and unable to drink from it I relogged. Upon logging back in the screwdriver was back in my hands. I have experienced a similar issue in 1.06 already. Picking up items from the ground or from containers by dragging or double-clicking it worked very well however. Huge improvement compared to 1.06. My game also crashed to desktop without an error message when I picked up a ump mag that had spawned on the ground.

Seriously, the "server hopping fix" is a joke - I have played a few hours last night on an official public 1pp server, geared up, moved inland..then today as I want to continue, I notice the server I played on last night is almost empty so I switch to a high pop one thinking with 24 hours passed since the logoff I will probably not teleport to..oh wait.. back at the coast..... That really baffles me, if the fix is not working correctly then don't release it yet - unless you want to kill the public official servers altogether.. Sure I can play on community servers, but the few vanilla 1pp ones available always have quite the ridiculous queue.. so public official should be always an option. Changing to a different server after 24 hours ism not server hopping - that's why I play public sometimes, to be able to always move to a high pop server or even to one that has pingwise a middle ground for me and people I play with over in other parts of the world.. Don't kill public official with stupid decisions like that. On top of that I am being plagued by some most irritating main menu bugs: black screen upon launch with AA enabled, main menu screen or server browser still showing after I joined the server making it impossible to play, connect button in server browser not working after leaving the server queue until restart of the game.. It's like the game is actively hindering me to play unless I use the 3rd party launcher or connect to the server via start parameters.. And I am not even talking about the crashes or TrackIR either twitching or locking-up every 2 mins.. *sigh.. I am honestly quite annoyed.

Could you also let us know what happened to Rogovo in 0.62? It seems to have been reverted to its pre-0.61 layout. I actually have not checked it out personally but I have seen several reports on that. The last one here: https://www.reddit.com/r/dayz/comments/6hedby/rogovo_has_been_changed_back_to_pre_61_update/. Has anyone managed to get Track IR running on 0.62? I posted about it on the Experimental forum thread and found someone else asking about it on reddit. I can confirm the issue with the Altar radio station building that odin_lowe reported earlier. I played on DE-02. My character status never got stuck and was updating just fine. I got cold a few times due to the rain, then put on a rain coat, gloves, hat and gas mask and started running to warm up and the temperature indicator in the debug windows reflected all ups and downs properly. Rather interesting to see it all broken down. I also noticed the character modifier 'packed' and I wonder if that is an indication of me being a hoarder carrying a lot of junk through the country side (2 rifles, full high cap vest and hunting backpack). So I wonder if that modifier already heats me up faster as I run around with that heavy luggage? The random choppiness was also still occurring for me, my cross hair would start twitching from time to time and the steam overlay fps indicator started dropping below 20 fps for me. Curiously it was most prominent in the area around Green Mountain between Polkovo and Pogorevka as I was heading NE. The night before on the previous build I experienced the same choppiness and frame drops in the same area coming from the opposite direction. Also when I turned around and looked in the direction I was coming from it seemed to stop. Strange and rather vague, it might be coincidence - I am not sure.

Yes, right up until the Central Loot Economy gets eventually adjusted in a way that canned food spawns become very rare. And then you might actually consider using your ten rounds to hunt some deer instead of other players unless you play as a cannibal ;)
