    Very impressive !

    According to some players feedback, it seems shotguns projectiles (shells) are too nerfed, and so it would be a shame a such art would not be praised ingame.

    Let's hope coders will fix the issue.


  2. About contamined area :
    - Will it be distinguishable (ei : misty gas pocket, particle, ...) or will it require a kind of device detector ?
    - Will delimitation area be transitional (low risk on the edge) ? Could the area dynamically change (size,shape,position) or scatter/expell cloudlets across the map ? and even could be fully generated (tool for futur BR mod & SGZ event)?

  3. 4) Increased player cap, I like that. Makes me think that'll lead to less 1PP servers diluting the (already slim) pop. Thus force players to a populated server rather than spread out amongst several (even if linked to 1 hive). Time will tell.

    To complete & add this question with mine : Do you intend to reduce BIS official servers number (as long as low level playerbase allow it) ?

  4. I've really been on the fence about this, and to be honest I'm still undecided if you should be able to fully disable postprocessing. The title communicates critical information on the status of your character via this effect.

     

    You should set it "forced", otherwise just remove PP from the game

    (because 90% users are/will disable it if they could : since it make the game easier or put them on an equal footing with others)

  5. Dean Hall wasn't a modder at any given time? See what his DayZ mod did to ArmA 2 !

    Modders are content makers in the true sense of the term.

     

    Sure it may turn technic and not as sexy to "scrum" with low-charismatic nerds than with conniving vip streamers/youtubers.

    Well it depends if you want that to lead to some game improvements or game marketing...


  6. hitboxes could not change I guess, I suggest you to take a look at Wobo recent video for more information.

    Something you have to keep in mind is : the more complex script (lot of "if / or / and / then") the more it's heavy and impact server performance.


  7. - Server Performance (Degrading)

    This issue has been resolved, and we're seeing a 3x increase in server performance on the current 0.58. As well, the degrading curve of server performance over large spans of time has been resolved. Thus, the experimental branch servers will be operating on a 12 hour restart schedule now.

     

    Does it mean 0.58 stable servers will also benefit of that performance increase?


  8. Muzzle flash lifetime is so short that your eyes barely see it during daytime, and also because not great illuminance. It is a problem for video game (limited fps).

     

    Did you notice something in op vid ? -> always the same muzzle flash texture at each shot.

    ArmA series didn't have this issue, there were I think 3 different/random muzzle flash textures for each shot. This kind of "missing feature" will probably be fixed in beta.

     

    Then to have a compromise, I will suggest to have 1 among those 3 very faded and subtle.

    I know, we know...

    But you must know warning about that do not take away the sense of disappointment when it happens (Especially when expectations were high and the waiting was long).


  10. Please don't feel hurt, I am not only seeing the negative side of things (but I cannot just ignore them).

    The game evolve and regress at the same time.

    So, for the time spent since 0.55 and how this futur update is presented, I have to confess I am globally a bit disappointed, and I wonder why or what is going wrong/slow.

  13. I don't know, but I would have imagined (working) doors at each floor and barricading system. And so it would have been entertaining to hide/search place, because a simple floor level house offer no thrill no option

    I would rather have no number outside of the box and that fade completely aswell.

    However I'm all for number in box, it could look like :

    Edit : for PS4 futur user, a plain box like OP shown would suit fine.

  15. As orlok and Zboub le météor said, I also would prefere visual/audio cues.

    But I understand, for instance, have slight postproc distorsion (like above a campfire) when "HOT" could not be done until new renderer.

     

    So while the wait a minimal HUD is welcome.

    PLAYER ICONShows actual stance. Important for FPP

    Not really, according to speed and height of the ground we already guess that without help.

    BUT, as a FPP player I sometimes get stuck in lean stance (while standing or crouching) and need few second to understand "why I cannot run/sprint?"


  16. I like the concept.

    But carefull : it's a sand box and open game, with not fixed background - so it does not belong to us to tell to others what happened.
    Each should be free to imagine what,when,where,how events occured.

    So I think it should not really be factual narrative, or otherwise assumed subjective and so inaccurate to let users interpret it (and build their own version).

    The other issue IMO is the language (just look town names on road signs). I don't say all should be written in Russian or slavic language, but if in English it should have a reason (international newspapers, embassy/tourist notes, leaflet U.N. / W.H.O. , etc etc ).

    I know, it is very restrictive :|
    (that's why I only tried image in my "Polaroid Discoverable Mementos" thread)

    Can't wait to see how this looks with a flare in hand!

     

    By night it would be nice if he could hold it with his right hand !

     

     

    ...and this lead me to another thought, about the left hand for the SOS gesture wich in my opinion could become a bit more than just another animation :

    Whistle during the animation begining would be good, if you only want that and not the full lenght wawing -> cancel action once done.

     

    Currently if you want to locate with your friends, or draw attention, you can use voice over IP (assuming you have a mic and/or "VOIP" ingame audio setting not muted).

    Or you could shoot in the air (assuming you have a not-silenced firearm and its proper munition).

     

    Whistle should have a greater sound range than VOIP, and obviously less than a firearm.

     

    And now the question everybody have on the lips : "Should whistle attract infected?"

    Czech vehicle (motorized tricycle) from 1960's ("Socialist Republic" era), with models up to nowdays.

     

    - Would make sense for an individual from Chernarus (small island : not a lot of driving, no need fast car).

    - Agile on narrow road.

    - Rustic, cheap (buy, fuel, maintenance).

    - Provide cargo : vehicle inventory

    - Due to engine physic/vehicle, bicycle is currently out of scope. This tricycle solve the gap.

    - No rear-view mirror, no need PiP.

    - Variable (gearless) transmission, for players who may not feel comfortable with incoming "Vehicle Transmission" feature.

    - Vintage, fun to drive  B)
