That was my point... And then I mentioned something about Sound not traveling far enough, If you are part of the sound team... There are some major discrepencies in the game... there are more then a healthy share of instances where I will be traveling with someone and they will hear a gunshot and I will not, Then another alittle later where I can hear an animal and he cannot.(wolves howling comes to mind) then where he will hear footsteps and I cannot, vice versa. It is game breaking when you die because of it. Esp. after 17 hours of grinding to get where you were prior to death by such. I am trying not to offend, I am just stating some observations that need attention.

If the server streamed video to the cleints and the only thing the client will send back to the server will be device input (ie Mouse, keyboard) key sets and code, so essentally- the server would be the acting computer, the internet will be the cord between the computer and the monitor. So in perspective- The only thing your computer would need to do is to decode the video input from the server... No more cheating, no more wall hacking, no more god mode, etc.

It was an short version of my attempt to explain a future way of playing online games that would eliminate cheating altogether.

To be fair... Dayz is the most complex game of its genre out in circulation. It has more interactions between objects and situations then you can possibly even fathom to scratch at. Not to be a stickler- But Dayz should have just bit the bullet at the begining of there venture intothis project and made there own engine to house the sheer amount of content they are slowly but ARE achieving !! Just in the Art alone (item database) animations, interactions, situations, damage, statistics, usability... And then when one thing breaks another and the point of the break is undetectable, from the type of video card to Micrsoftdicks best efforts at an OS... Makes the game harder to create then a working model of the Human body and its various nervous systems under attack from the constant gravitational pull of the earth. *cough* Ignore me.

I never heard of a bug that would simultanouesly kill players... More of an admin mod feature or a Rcon command... and since official servers do not have administrative programs installed on them, that would mean a cheater, But doing this would require the cheater to have access to the administrative console to the server itself. which means the actual computer housing the server was comprimised in some fasion, so that leads me to believe that the official servers still have a remote console available and means the passwords to those need to be logged by subnet, and banned subnet access to them from other then examples. Thanks for the post. See gentlemen- This sort of cheating (if you could call it that) Should be enough to send someone to prison for a good 2 years... Hacking into a data center is a good way to get Interpol knocking on your door. and for what? a video game? (highly doubt the servers are located in a data center if this is the case, But I bet you they charge Dayz as much as a server that IS in a Data Center)

Its almost been 2 weeks... It looks like we have a clear winner, Unless the whole dayz programing team join in and vote no just to be sticks in the mud. (Grin - Oh sweet lovly vengence... But of course, I do believe that a thermal scopes has a limited zoom range of what? 2X ? I am not a hunter or privy to military weapon mods enthusiast, but I DO know that they exist, even have a camera that plugs into the mini USB on an android phone for $300.... OUCH, Apperantly- you can even see footsteps of anyone that recently passed through an area... Super cool. Small battery. very useful, badly needed!

A word worthy of note- Use a blood bag when your full on your blood meter- attach a IV start kit to it, and keep it in your inventory in case this situation arises again. also a saline with an IV attached to it will also increase your blood supply when used. Make sure all your bleeds are bandaged before you pass out or logg off. (best to be in a encloser to ensure a wandering infected does not stumble apun you) also (Whispers "Use a morphine injector as soon as you get into a gun fight if possible". Make sure your Water and food is at least in the yellow (NOT in RED) in contrast of your health meter when you black out.

Well perhaps a sound meter android app will help me determine this with a few trips through some tall bushes outside before I go stating this as fact... To be continued...

Did you know- that a bag of sun chips gives off more Decibils of sound than a NewYork subway train heading straight towards you and passing by...? I saw this on the Today show one morning before work... was an interesting fact. My comparison is that traversing through brush makes a tremendous amount of sound.

With alittle thought- I think this could be both a terrible headache or a skyward breakthough to make the item database with persistence a relaxing Pina colada. What does stop you from taking a car between servers...? But to communicate with the radios to players in all servers that have a radio, would be aoutstanding and confusing... Isnt is possible forgames to utilize the internet for ingame content? For example... (Just as examples mind) The ingame map, calling on DayzDB map to display its version in the game... Or for instance, Talking to someone in China and the game queing Google translate to automaticaly translate the text to match the recieving charector map EU keyboard? Or perhaps an external domain service that houses much like Dayz's item server, But Weather conditions and Persistant Item logs? Is this utilization of database possible if/when it is another companies service (such as google translate? Seriously, it would be a million thanx!

Ok I know you think people die when they dont eat right away, but outside of your protected spoiled little world you live in, people can live up to 7 days without food. Im not sure how they do things on MARS but on earth we have time to eat to survive. I am not sure how you can call this a survival game when the elements to survive are non existent. Do you know what a player hater is? a player hater is someone that hates the player because of the game. Why do you guys at bohemia find it nescissary to player hate? If your starving in Dayz - this is simple- the charector fails to regenerate HP until saturated stamina will consistantly decrease over time.of 5-7 days at which point or when it reaches 0 I dont understand why you are so adiment on this unrealistic system of starvation you have had set into place since the mod and are bent hell or high water to keep it... Whoever thought that you die in the time period of cooking a piece of meat from the time it indicated you need food.You don't have to player hate to make a game enjoyable. I bet you people argue and bicker all the time because whoever is "player hating or the game will fail" attitude..

Server 66.242.11.162:2404 Time: 1:52pm Eastern standard time Feb. 10th 2020 495 meters east of Novaya Petrovka DayZ US 3664185 Was in a locked 4 door bi-pass barn and a player shot through the wall at a 200+ meter distance twice and killed me and once to a buddy and killed. No misses. I am requesting the player statistic log be cross referenced and the cheaters mac address be sent to battle eye for development and system integration.

Well It is NOT Steams Responsibility to police DayZ Servers This I can assure you. I have been engaged in talks with steam administrators before about the platform downloading client side screens shots from any games on its platform to assist in cheat prevention on Valve protected servers and it does not work that way. Well I had better be careful here... But from my understanding- Valve offers this service as just that, And it is mostly for user agreements and valve content provided by valve, Dayz Servers do not fit here for the most part, Even if blacklisted on a valve server. hence the Dayz Launcher Sigh- I am getting the feeling I am just chasing my own tail here... But like i said, If the cheater continues to harrass me I will just find another server to play on. Although this should be an important topic and needs morelight shined apon it, from a dayz members standpoint if at the least not a bohemia Standpoint Be Strong- Hiding your eyes does not make bad things go away, just eases the pain apon which, when delivered.

Let me run this idea by you-- You ever used steamlink? Where you can play a game on your tv simply by streaming the game fromyour computer to the TV and then the controler back tothe computer from the TV's location? Now think of it this way- Streaming the game from a server and sending back the controlers (or in this case Keyboard and Mouse) back to the server. How do oyu think that willeffectthese cheaters?

I am not going to push this anymore then what I have just done... If he continues to harass me, I will just stop playing on that server.. done... If this is a problem for you to continue, that is fine- you must do what your priorities are layed out in front of you and thats fine... Gentlemen: The kinda evidence you are after for me to prove my story is not exactly.... Ok, I can back up two steps and go this route if you need beyond a reasonable doubt- You can find walls with camo netting and barbed wire around the Myshinko/pustoshka area, these walls where part of a base I had. If you come to the server and look around you will find them. I can even go as far as to say I have the name of this so called cheater. Which I do. But I cannot prove it with the tools given to me. So I am not going there, The next best thing is to investigate a suspiciose report and apon your examination will find in explicaple evidence and self explanitory findings, this I am sure. I am not a child- nor do I make accusations lightly, I can give a 2 page report on my experience and understanding of reporting cheaters to admining game servers etc... I dont want to brag or any of that crap, but I do know what I am talking about and my tools are limited for total proof so there is no effort on Bohemia's part, which is understandable, but I did not make the game, I play the game. Cheaters are a bi product of such ventures, I understand this. but if it was not in Bohemia's interest, then why even have battleeye protected servers... see where I am getting with this..?

Experience. Sound. Confirmed by a friend that was with me. and like I said, I amnot after getting the player banned because of the lack of so-called "proof" but it is enough for battleeye to use for whatever they do to detect cheats can be found here, because he is undetected. Using the info I provided is sufficient into obtaining his subnet, in turn tracked... So Yeah- I want the anti cheat software to detect them rather then just banning him, If that makes sence.
