Did you cross-post? I'm not sure I understand what you mean.

I think I may have something.. I was up near Svetlo, properly geared character: tac shirt, cargos, hunter pack, ballistic helmet, UK vest. My dude starts complaining he's soaked, then the status is showing red-letter "my body feels soaked" so I decide to head into a barn to wait it out. I have no clue if "soaked" can actually go away, so I wait. I'm up on the third level, on a knee and waiting it out, where after 10 minutes of sitting there my character reacts like he's been hit by something. I check my gear, and my pants, along with a protector case I was carrying in the pants are Ruined! Now let me be clear. There were no zombies in the area, plus I was up on the third level of a barn (they can't get up there). The server was under-populated, and no players were anywhere in my vicinity. Not to mention, the little window on the third level was the only place I could have been hit from, and I purposely placed myself away from it. The only adverse condition or circumstance I could have experienced was the fact that I was soaked. There's really no other explanation. I think its related to the fact that I stopped moving while soaked.

How do you feel about moving this back to General Discussion to achieve some exposure for the Poll? :D

I intend to start a new topic about about pistol whipping

Personally I think the possibility is black and white.. Not that there aren't great opinions, I think a "Yes" vote doesn't close the door on pistols that can possibly spawn without a mag, just that when they do, how should the mag look? The consensus that I've seen is that most folks agree that pistols IRL would have little cause to be found without a magazine. I think the spirit of the game, as far as piecing things together, is being overstretched when it comes to sidearms.

Done and Done. :beans: It was actually my post that he was responding to, Dean loves me  (yea right) I think a separate question is pistols-to-mags ratio. There should continue to be mags spawning separate of their parent gat. I see it as a natural ratio, like that of chickens to eggs, primarily because most pistol owners would possess multiple mags.. ESPECIALLY cops and troops. I personally believe that the amount of bullets currently spawning is perfect. I think some folks get a little jaded by how often they see bullets they don't have any space for; this shouldn't be confused for too many bullets in loot spawns. I think everyone can attest to situations where you find all the calibers you don't need, and none that you do.

reddit is not easy to read or enjoy. I agree, hard to get into. Its a format programmers appreciate because it resembles lines of code.

Knife Sheaths, because Hunting will make knives matter..

Its fucking great is what it is. I love how clean and detailed the loot widgets appear, and the additional gear storage in places like a belt are genius. -
No one reads the Suggestions section ..... :(

I'd love to hear the counter argument. You agree with OP or SGTHornet?

If anything, I'm keeping the issue at the forefront. I did a quick search and the alternative topics I found seemed touch on more than just this issue. People need to get better with topic tags... That second link you posted used "Guns" "Rarity" "Ammo" ... makes it a little hard to locate an existing thread on a topic about "Magazines" :)

Solving problem of kill on sight - Vehicles.

My beans.. All Day :beans: The environment needs to be hard like a 16 year old with Mila Kunis sitting on his face. Tweaking supersonic zombies has certainly changed the game a bit. I'm sure there's already a few folks that have had to adjust their inherent mistrust and hatred of other players. -

I don't agree with you, and KoS is bullshit.. BUT ^the imagery of this is too funny.. The problem is that once you've played this game for a while, you get a taste for certain items and weapons you want. To get these things is difficult (getting an LR scope is damn near impossible these days) and requires a lot of running. That said, the process of running around, looting, banditry, trading, etc. requires a lot of time, and that investment of hours of gameplay leads to an unconscious attachment to your character. This is really the difference between the two play styles. The other style is what I would call "speedball" DayZ... this is where they start each new life like they know they are going to die again within the same session or likely the very next one. Like Matt Damon in Elysium, only Jodi Foster isn't going to let you use her cancer tube and you know it. Whether or not they actually would die doesn't matter; playing like you have nothing to lose leads to a more direct, reckless approach to looting and confronting other players. When these two styles of play collide.. the forum blows up with KoS love/hate flame-bait debates and we run in circles. Vehicles would do two things: (1) they would create and new set of objectives for both types of play (for example: find a perfect drive-by whip versus crafting a respectable auto) and (2) it would reduce the amount of time needed to travel between points of interest on the map for acquiring desired loot, thus reducing the investment of time needed to fashion/equip your character in your own image leading to reduced character-attachment. -

Do Zombies Dream Of A Good Nights Sleep? (Zombie feedback)
Mr Jizz replied to SmashT's topic in General Discussion
On a scale of 1 to 10, where the zombies' former speed is "1" and the new situation is "10" I would say they need to turn the dial back to about 6. PROS of faster zombies: makes players 'deal' with zombies rather than run past and ignore them (not hard to loot without killing slow zombies)gives players a common objective, other than killing each other; i.e. an excuse to work togetheradds a certain theatrical element to the game that was missing. The prior zombies were roaming retards, anything better than a your dukes, a pipewrench or knife made them easy to dispatch and little more than a nuisance.CONS of faster zombies: nearly impossible for a new spawn to confront faster more aggressive zombies, and simultaneously less likely to avoid confronting themCurrent No-Clip zombies come flying through walls to attack youSome move so fast that the audible zombie cackling and moaning doesn't have enough time to occur before they attack, [often] eliminating the only early warning systemunaccountable zombie melee attacks in tandem with jerky, hyper-speed movement means a lot of BS damage being taken even with effective evasionRegarding respawning zombies, the radius needs to be about double what it is. Even if the sweet sound of an M4 makes all the zombs in the yard want your milkshake, there shouldn't be an indefatigable penalty for clearing a section of town for the sake of looting. I play solo a lot, and using a firearm on zombies is bad for my health. If there's a deeper radius I could at least clear an area for a few precious extra seconds to hit rooms on second floors without coming down a staircase greeted by a zombie circle jerk. -

I think there should also be a draw bonus/delay based on bringing a pistol or melee to bear from a sheath versus a backpack or pocket. -

My thought process was directed at Zombies.. Would be VERY satisfying to truncate a pack of zombies. Especially since they're not doing much to parry or block -

I agree with you. The knife should accomplish two things as a weapon: it should ALWAYS make a player bleed and it should be capable of fatal blows in the head box (e.g. throat slash, jugular, etc.). As a side note, the Machete should be capable of decapitation (we can talk about Gibs later)
