When I think of fully random spawns I think of any city/village as a spawn point. No fields no hills just the random chance of spawning in the cities. But for the people who will suicide for better spawns I have no idea how to balance that out, any ideas? -

This is why I want a completly random chance to spawn in any city/village on this map because that is the current state of this game. People can say the new spawns are to get people to explore newer towns but all it does is hurt the gameplay experience by putting everyone so close together forcing people to run around for a good 2 - 3 hours to find stuff. I will puit hours into a single play session of DayZ, but the mad had enough spawn points that when you went inland you could get some gear and then travel further north hitting up more towns. This thrusted people into the map, and allowed for some amazing gameplay unlike in current DayZ where all the loot is quite a ways a way making it easier to just punch out someone in Berenzino and begin deathmatching. -

Now you are turning the game into pay2win. Currently server hosting is a pay 2 win tool because admins can restart the server when they die to get their goodies back. Your spectating idea should not be in the game whatsoever. I ran a mod server for a few months before my co-owner and I parted ways. I do not want admins to have any privilages beyond kicking players (With a limit on how many can be kicked in an hour) they should have to put in a ticket to the hosting companies to have their server restart every X hours. I want admins to have little power in their server to avoid the hell that was created in the mod. Apectating is just a going to be a cheat tool that allows you to bypass using scripts, and just intises young rich kids to buy servers so they can kill people. -
I'm trying to avoid using DB so when I stumble across a northern town I can find something interesting. I played so much mod that I when I played another mod that randomly drops you in fields and forest I knew where I was everytime.

While on reddit I asked hicks whether the walkies range would be increased to which I was told yes, up to 30 km range. Hicks motioned that this is to be the new "side chat" system. My question to you is should the walkies have the ability to use text over radio type chat system? I hope this is added. People are in situations where using a microphone is inconvient, and having a way to communicate with them and a way for them to communicate with others is fantastic. I hope text over radio chat gets added in. I would like to also see the situations in the mod text chat caused in standalone.

What's the gun you like the most?

I love my M4. That gun with the proper magpul attatchments will destroy the snipers overwatching airfields. I like it also for the ability of just being able to easily reload 40 bullets and supress and hold the front doors of buildings while my friends are up top sniping out. -

TLDR, I remember you, hope you enjoyed the gear you earned it, anyone else....I dont have any clue who you are. ZaP makes a habit of asking people we interact with their name and how long they have played DayZ. Most of our members are taken from direct interaction with players, so put your KOS flaming to rest. I ask you all to refer to this post I had wrote to respond to Lucts post on our forum http://www.zombie-abomination.net/forum/m/22580609/viewthread/12948646-all-for-fun . If you are too lazy to do that here is the gist of it..... First off, we do not do it JUST for server rank in fact spending all this time on normal servers is HURTING our rank if anything. We are a tactical group who actually enjoy spending time writing battleplans, ROE's, AAR's, and we will not be bullied into not expressing ourselves by anyone. We DO stream our activity so that others can view our tactics and so people can enjoy watching us work as squads and complete objectives. Its for FUN, we have fun doing this our ROE is not always to KOS our actual ROE for the even this week is to force players to log out of the grey matter server or die. So we like to make it interesting by interacting as opposed to the normal DayZ mentality of KOS. You sir are just jealous, if you would like to hang out with us and see what were all about you are more than welcome to,otherwise dont judge wont you have no clue about. Based on your statement of "Donator packs" you obviously have no idea on the intricacies of SA server adminning, so leave that to the people who know what they are doing. Acting like you know what you are talking about , when in fact you have no idea is just childish, educate yourself you deserve it. As for this weeks event we WILL be at your server, we WILL accomplish our mission , and you may cry about it all you like to anyone you see fit. I will make available to you the After Action Review so you can see what we were up to while ass ramming your servers population. This clan is very well funded and does not require having any monetary benefit from having the #1 rank. WE SIMPLY WANT IT! That is it, DayZ communities should all strive to be #1 or they will always be #2. Thank you for your concern, it is noted, but at this time we are not taking any outside advice as were doing just fine without the input. To conclude, ZaP is a tactical clan, and we like to have fun doing what we do. We are a mix of Veterans, active duty, NSA, NASA, hardcore gamers, casual gamers, and the list goes on. My problem with Global chat is that it makes contact boring at times, and really kills the risk of meeting people sometimes. I was browsing reddit when the lovely user Lavadm stumbled upon the lovely find below while trying out the new experimental update. I like to play a lot of ArmA, but much like DayZ it requires a lot of W pushing so I went online and set up an auto run key then it hit me this could really help the guys on DayZ so heres how to set up an auto run key. Step one: Download this software and add it into its own folder on your desktop http://www.mediafire.com/download/m32g1jxnnz1/GlovePIE041.zip Step 2: Run the software .exe Step 3: Add the following line of code (Remove parenthesis) "toggle(key.w)=key.up" then add this script below that one "toggle(key.shift)=key.up" Step 4: Hit Run at the top of the newly opened window Step 5: Open DayZ its time to do some key binding changes. Go to assignments and look under INFANTRY MOVMENT for fast foreward and delete it. Now on turbo (Right Above it) add SHIFT as the new key binding. This will cause an issue with the Walk Temporarily binding. To fix this change that key binding in Temporarily walking from shift to Control. Step 5: Now when you are in DayZ press your Foreward/up key (arrow key) Congragulations! You will now be running forever, happy hunting! DayZ being an alpha game has much toi learn from the community from how its core mechanics should be built and adjusted to really driving the specific type of game DayZ will become. I am curious to see if you feel that DayZ is being developed right in your opinion. For me I feel that DayZ is tettering along the line of being the game I don't want compared to a game I do. I have great fun in it, but it all comes down to player interactions. I feel as if though the community is more deadset on guns and gun play (It is important to focus on) I feel as if zombies are left to the wayside in the priority list when they should be number one or two at least next to fixing wall glitchers. I feel like it's being developed how I would like it to be, but the community feels as if they want this game based mostly on guns and clothing rather than big problems like zombies.

A lot of the time I usually see a person laying face first on the ground my first instinct is to send one of my buddies over to him to check the pulse to figure out his status. Reddit user PUSH_AX found that the position of a persons leg will tell you their status. If the left leg is bent in about a 45 degree angle it means that the person is unconcious while if the legs are straight the player is dead. This can be extremly useful so if you hear a gun shot next you, and then notice a body falling you can tell whether you can save the person. This can also be used when engaging other players so when you shoot them you can see if their dead or alive just by a quick glance at their legs to avoid needed to waste extra bullets ruinning more gear to make sure you will not die.
