When You Come Across An Armed Fellow And Try To Subdue Them, What Do You Do Or Say?
leefriendfield posted a topic in General Discussion
I was in Berenzino having a gay ol' time in the piano building when I hear a man come from behind me. I panicked for he had an SKS and was shooting it not just 5 minutes ago drawing his gun. I panicked and bolted for the door with my empty Mosin on my back an a half eaten can of beans. As I am running around the house trying to lose this man I hear in voice coms "FREEZE!" This only scared me more for I thought he wanted me to stop so as he may shoot me more easily (That is something fresh spawn killers often do). As I managed to lose him I made my way westward further into the heart of Berenzino to begin looting again in peace. As I came to the soccer field I noticed the door to the red building was closed meaning maybe it wasn't looted. I decided to loot the yellow house first so I would get all the loot. As I am leaving the yellow house I notice the red house buildings door is now open. I am confused, maybe I saw it wrong so I continue going westward when my heart sinks, I see the SKS man. I decided I will try to intimidate him with my mosin, so as I see him looting the supermarket I decide to wait a little more west near the second red house he was bound to head there. My plan was perfect, here he was coming with a zombie right on his butt trying every so hard to hit him and then I turned around to notice a zombie following me. I decided to try and punch the zombie to stay quiet but I done fucked and punched the tin wall. I make the sound of a bullet hitting the wall and my stealthy approach was falling apart literally in my bare hands. I see the man coming around the corner investigating the gunshot noise when he notices me. I quickly loop around the tin fence so he can't get a shot on me. I am in third person and so is he so I call over voice coms "Lets agree not to pull the trigger" and I hear him agree with me. I avoided a violent confrontation with another players and we began talking a little bit. My question is what do you say to someone who's fully geared to subdue them or make peace? -

When You Come Across An Armed Fellow And Try To Subdue Them, What Do You Do Or Say?

The problem is the coastline full of armed players (Not bandits, there too bad for that title) that go power hungry with their weapon shooting anything under the sun that moves because they are wannabe UBER PRO SNIPER ELITES. Get gear and try to talk to people at high trafic areas like Berenzino and you will find people who do not want to kill, rather have a nice chat. -
I have heard stories like yours of people seemlesly all getting disconected, I belive it may be a hack but I am not sure so dont quote me on that. I hope you and your buddys dont expirience it again for your story is not much sifferent than the ones I read not too long ago.

When You Come Across An Armed Fellow And Try To Subdue Them, What Do You Do Or Say?

I enjoy knocking people out, handcuffing them, taking what I like, bandaging them, blood / saline bagin them and then letting them go. -
Would you like to see a trading server/teamspeak (just like the TMW medics, but for trading)?
leefriendfield replied to crazykage's topic in General Discussion
The problem with trading is it opens itself to abuse and breaks the imersion, why risk meeting new people to attempt to trade when you can meet some random Joe on this forum and swap a half empty can of beans for a 100% pristine rice? The idea of trading should be left to a couple of strangers meeting up and let things go from there, there should not be 3rd party interfirence like god mode. -
My biggest issue with no vaulting while you have broken legs
leefriendfield posted a topic in General Discussion
Vaulting is currently a necesity to enter most buildings that have steps, getting shot in the legs would absolutely suck when you are stuck in the middle of the street becuase you can't vault into the houses. I would like to see a climbing animation to take place of the vaulting animation. Anyone else have any issues with no longer being able to vault while you have broken legs?' For anyone confused, rocket posted this in his update post under the "Fixed" catagory in his recent change log: http://forums.dayzgame.com/index.php?/topic/177017-pending-changelog-experimental-branch-037115791/ -
Disruption of body functions after a gun fight
leefriendfield replied to king_of_the_beans's topic in General Discussion
This is a fantastic idea! Let KOS run rampet, but let the people who do KOS have greater risk, if you run guns blazing balls to the wall into electro you are more than likely going to come out dead, or as you put it lose bodily functions. This would make players weigh the risk and reward factor along with using proper execution to achieve that goal. This would vastly impact the gameplay in what I feel would be a positive move to turning this game away from grab a gun and shoot everything to a very nicely balanced survival game. BEANZ FOR YOU SIR and or MADEM -

Words may not describe it, but gifs sure do!
-
Yes, because you DEFINITELY will not turn around and shot them or vice versa. Don't rely on trading, to dangerous and risky.

Please be honest, dont BS yourself and say you dont glitch under there when you do, the votes are private. These spots allow players to shoot from an inacessible area that bullets can not penatrate and the player inside said spot can shoot you.

Have you/have you not seen a hacker?
leefriendfield replied to crazykage's topic in General Discussion
It is incredibly annoying -
That belongs in the bug report section which a report has been filed, I am just looking for a general percentage of players that use that glitch spot.

I was browsing kickstarter and came across this *interesting* project "No DayZ Later" a zombie survivor thriller. I sometimes wonder if these companies even think they will suceed, let alone profit. Anyone else suprised by this? My favourite part is they have a full $9 donated so far, thats a whopping 36 gumballs! EDIT: The project creator has two other failed kickstarters and funny enough copied and pasted the EXACT SAME TEXT word for word period for period from one project to the other and even the same character models. My favourite part is the project lead has attended 3 years of college classes and works with "very smart people" yet makes the mistake of no capitals i's or fixing spelling mistakes in the biography like he < the. Im gonna follow this trainwreck of a studio just to see what happens. If you so wish to see the trainwreck that is this company, heres the kickstarter. I sent the guy a message telling him he has a chance to make it big in the survival market, not many games have done good. I hope it works out for him. -

Encountered the first hacker...
leefriendfield replied to EvilTigerAce's topic in General Discussion
Probably not a hacker, more likely someone exploiting the ability to shoot from unacesible parts of the building. Most of the time people doing this hide inside an unacesible part of that building on the opposite wall of the door. This is a masive problem, here is how to stop those little kids from killing you. Go to the back of the building by the windows you can't see through, go to thrid person, put your left or right arm right next to the building on the green bricks between two windows you can't see through. Now while in third person press your lean keys E or Q and move your camera until you can see into the building. The little kids who sit in there are the toxic part of the DayZ community, I dont like having to check for glitchers everytime because it breaks the imersion. I have to because little cheating ass's are what I have to watch out for. When people arn't glitching this game is fun as all hell. I was in a firefight last night with 8 other people that lasted an hour and 13 minutes! We have sniper firing on use while M4 men patroled our building, it was insane! No one glitched the system and it was an incredible time. -
How do I know I have broken my leg?
leefriendfield replied to Gurk-o-vich's topic in General Discussion
Or morphine. -
I enjoy live streaming on twitch, but I have never understood the obsession of using a webcam. I don't see a need for it and it just takes away an unnecessary amount of screen real estate.

I will just shoot them, anyone armed along the coast is an instat KOS for me.
