I'd say the M4 for now. With all the attachments it's a very versatile weapon. Always liked that gun. Close behind is the 1911, but the mags are so rare that I don't even use it... Found 1 mag for 10 1911 pistols... The FNX45 with all the attachments is pretty beast too!

I keep searching for night time servers lately and can't find some. The time showing in the server list and ingame isn't the same for me. I always liked the darkness of the ArmA/DayZ nights. Now that the gas lamps are fixed, I always carry one on me.

Found my first note written by someone else 2 days ago on the experimental DE server 04 hardcore. The server didn't seemed to restart and almost every place was looted. I played on it for several hours and encountered a few players. But these are the notes I found/wrote. There was a dead guy with a defibrilator in his hands outside...dunno if it's related. Was excited to have found a note written by someone else! :) Wrote this one on the same server. Left those items next to it.

Been questing for pristine stuff a lot lately. Switched many items and had fun testing out the new pistols since I had found mags for them. Was on the same server for 2 hours before it restarted and on the same one found most of the new stuff I added. Had a bit of a misadvanture in a stair case which ruined my pants and everything in it. (a pistol flashlight and a rifle one survived in a protective case, but the rest was ruined with the case itself) Will likely ditch the TTsKO pants as soon as I find green or black cargo pants. (carrying too much stuff, been saving items for my friends. Can't wait do ditch excess ammo and radios...) Was the first time finding a pristine protective case.

For the first time I found a 1911 mag today and could test it with more than 1 round in the chamber. I'd say it's the best out of the pistols/revolvers in terms of accuracy and dispersion. But the mags are so rare and their capacity is half of the FNX, so it's not an option for now. I like the 1911 a lot, and would love to be able to add the FNX attachments to it and be able to find more mags. Keeping the mag, but leaving the pistol till I find more. Maybe I'll swap it, but the FNX is still the best overall... (imo) The CZ/CR75, the .357 and the Amphiba S are great too, but if I could make a choice, it would be between the 1911 and the FNX. The magnum as great stopping power and the ammo with fast loaders are pretty easy to find, but for the six shot it has, it's not more precise than the others sadly. Let's hope they fix them all, because anyway right now the pistols are very innacurate.

Really enjoyed both parts. Night time gameplay is awesome. Thanks for sharing!! I've met survivors that are still playing from time to time with me. Some complete strangers who used direct communication ending up playing for hours together and exchanging profile info to continue on different occasions. The Dead Linger is becoming such an awesome zombie apocalypse survival game. One of the biggest out there too. (about 64,000 square kilometers) Bikes just been added and it's becoming more and more stable/better. :thumbsup:

It dosen't save when you exit, and those servers never restarted. Also, the loot isn't changed as opposed to what we'll have when the public experimental servers we know come back online. Tested it out a bit. Encountered a few players. We grouped and ended up eating berries to not starve as there wasn't anything left, anywhere.... .... so hungry....

The new experimental patch seem to have more spawn points. I spawned right next to Svetlojarsk last time I spawned. (earlier today) We'll see when they add them to the stable build.

I love the environment sounds in DayZ. I wish we could hear crickets in the evening, and frogs near ponds... More environment sounds for me please.

It may sound weird, but I have to say that I enjoyed reading that. Well constructed and also easy to relate. I can't stop playing since I'm addicted, but I understand what you're going through. I play solo most of the time, and rarely see survivors engaging anyone when solo. But I've encountered more mature and talkative players than ones who let their guns do the talking so I can say I was lucky on that part. Anyway, thanks for sharing. Please, forget everything you learned in ISS/WarZ. (I've been playing WarZ since it came out back in oct 2012...) HP have failed miserably. DayZ is a very different game in so many aspects... Welcome! And enjoy your stay in Chernaurus!

New experimental hardcore character. Been looking for a 1911 mag for a while now. Heard they were small (I know they only hold 7 bullets) but haven't seen any and I had seen at least one of all the others.... The search continues!

In the settings, over resolution, try changing it to 200% and see if it happens. Then go back to 100%. It happens to all of us, but for me in 200% it doesn't happen as often.

Not while changing servers. Not since Dec 2013. I noticed that my character got "wiped" when I changed servers without going back to the main character screen. SInce then, I never change servers without going back, and it never happened to me. But, my experimental characters, (had 4, US & EU hardcore and regular) seems to have been wiped since both stable and experimental have the saem version (the hotfix) and now I can only make two: 1 on hardcore servers and one on regular. But anyway, your "respawn" might have been many things.

Agreed. Police stations spawns lots of rifles, but most of the pistols I find are either at Refy shipwreck, Mili bases and firestations. We'll see if they change the loot tables to be more representative of what it "should" be.

Really like what they are doing with the new towns across the map. Svetlojarsk was my favorite, now Chernaya Polana is!! The cabin is just awesome. Random shot. Taking a break in a small shed. I miss the street lights from the previous version. I wonder why they turned them all off. What's up with all the zombies roaming in the middle of the woods? Encountered at least a douzen north of Svetlojarsk. Night time. I love it. - "Insert DAYZ logo." I always carry a gas lamp with me. Till we can make camp fires. Hmm, well part of my test was voluntarily being hit by them to test it, and on 30 hits (I know I'm insane... B) ) I bled 7 times. Of course, it was totally random, as 3 times in a row I had to bandage after a hit, and for 8 after that I didn't have too. I couldn't see any difference on the place they hit as it seems they only damaged chest items I had.
