My first kill in the Stand Alone happened January 10th 2014. I'm not a hostile player and uses voip instead of shooting first. I had just made my way to the NEAF from the few buildings that were around what is now Svetlojarsk. At that time, there was just about 10 houses and 2 pubs. I checked a few buildings at the NEAF and was coming down from the ATC when I heard the distinctive reload sound of someone spawning in. "Great, a server hopper!" I told myself. I quickly checked the ATC and figured he had spawned in the office/jail building. I waited for him to go out and asked if he was hostile. He turned around and aimed at me, while crouching, and then going prone. I warned him one last time that if he didn't replied, I would have to shoot him considering he's hostile. No answers. Shot a few rounds in his skull. I don't think he suffered much really. I got to live for another day. Oh, if someone talks to you at an airfield or military base, he's probably not hostile. Those areas are hotspots for PVP. (always been) (Most players who wears masks have a tendency to shoot everything they see. I don't wear them, but I think this "oni" mask looks pretty good! B) )

Wow! Big update! If the patch is already on Steam, we can expect some experimental servers up soon!

You hear someone say, "Hello?"

3. If they engaged conversation instead of stalking and waiting for me to go out to kill me, there's a good chance the survivor calling out is not hostile. I would take the chance. Makes things more interesting. -
Very nice!! Great work!! Really enjoyed watching this!!

Man, your laugh!! (so evil... > :( ) Funny video. Came here for some hero action. Got Bonnie Tyler and a funny video full of craziness non-the-less. Random moments like these can only happen in DayZ. Thanks for sharing. (It's not my play style, but immersion and light RP elements makes things much more interesting. Some of those poor souls will be left with a bitter taste in their mouths though. Literally. ;))

Honestly, using your reflexes and the basic movement keys to interact in real time with the environment adds to the realism in my opinion. Having to press a certain key to make a specific animation breaks the immersion for me. To each his own. ( But in real life, no "Y" or "X" pops up in the air to dodge things or counter an attack...(Heavy Rain) Mind you, I love this game, but it's not for one bit "realistic" in my opinion. It has a great story, nice gameplay and is overall a great game.)

Well, for me it's already as arcade as it can be. I wouldn't want it to be more arcade than it is. There's already tons of games out there just like that. Heck, I wouldn't mind it being more "realist" and "simulator" like, but so many players are already complaining about it, that I doubt DayZ will ever be the "reallistic survival simulator" it could have been. ;)

I would take the Gigabyte for the extra fan and 2GB + mem. But that's just me. ;)

The crane operator dude had his mind set on going back to his crane at any costs!! :D You did it though, you changed his mind!

Clothing in good condition do protect more, but be careful, even with full pristine gear and a pristine ballistic helmet, you can get 1 hit ko by zombies if they hit you in the head. First hand experience, and saw Warpath ( a clan mate) get kill that way, right in front of me.

Rolling your sleeves (and why I think it can be done easily)

I like this idea very much. Well explained! -
Desync? Lag? Hacks? But yes, bullshit. :( Usually players drop from 1-2 bullets of SKS depending on the range.
-
Nope. Sorry. Don't like those. (37 round 1911? Using hacked ammo is cheating.... No matter if you duped it or created it or not, you're using it. Using hacked ammo = using hacks really... :( )

Fascinating experience! Thanks for sharing this!!

Well, the radios already work. I used them and quite frankly it's pretty fun, but very limited compared to side chat. They have a range of about 1000M, and between 800-900 M you lose signal. It's nice to be able to you chat also, but like voice, exceeding the range will make messages hard to read with some letters missing. Anyway I like the radios and would like to avoid any real side chat if possible.

Hardcore character. Black check wool coat, black check flat cap, black cargo pants and black leather shoes. At least when I die, I'll die as a gentlemen! ;)

Fantastic! Thanks for sharing!! I love those stories in DayZ!! P.S.:Have you got to catching up with season 4 of WD?
-
Great choice of music. (Rise Against, etc.) But like most other said, exploiting/cheating to kill cheaters/exploiters is being part of the problem and not the solution sadly. Entertaining video. But sad morals. Although it made me think of Titan Fall for some reason. The way they place cheaters against other cheaters instead of banning them....

Don't give up! This series is refreshing and interesting. Your rendition of Air at the end was very nice. Great job!!

Hilarious!! This random "talking-to-himself" guy was weird and funny!! The cargo pants vs 75% pristine bandages trade was awesome!!! B) Fantastic!! Thanks for sharing!!

Any one feel sick about the graphics like me?

Like gibonez said, I would suggest turning off the head bobbling completely. Also, is your monitor big, and you are close to it? Getting a bit further away and seeing more of the static surroundings helps. If it's not happening in other games, I'm not to sure what else could help you. I hope you find a way! -
I've been playing on the Smoking Ash Namalsk server for the past 3 months and I love it. I never had any problems with the admins. I've participated in many events, and even won a couple. Even though it's a PvP/shoot on sight advertized server, I'm a hero and randomly group up with other survivors/players. I love the challenge. Phantum Ranger is a great guy and I respect him greatly. Edit:
