They were implemented a few patches ago. (0.48 or close to that) You need the metal wire found in industrial spawns (easy to find in sheds near houses, almost everywhere) and add a stick to it to make a snare trap. You then take the snare trap in your hands and set it in grass near areas where animals usually spawns. (You don't have to find an actual rabbit to catch one, as it's a random event and is not related to the physical rabbit found around the map.

Not sure if just writing words related to DayZ and inserting them in a video showing nothing at all from DayZ really fits in the DayZ gallery... <_< Edit: Is this supposed to be a meme of some sort? :huh:

Not bad! :thumbsup: I wouldn't say that it's very original, but at least it's well made. Clear sound, good image, good framerate. Let's see how it goes from here.

Current favorite character. Stable build 1PP private hive. (Don't mind the version, I had just joind the EXP build and last time I had played was with this character, thus the suppressor "fixed", or I rather say, visible. ;) Like all the suppressors, they sit after the muzzle flash while they should cover it really.) Gotta love the bomber jacket! Goes great with jeans! :thumbsup: Details. Carrying multiple outfits for daytime and night time operations. (Too much loot really, as I don't intend to start a war...)

:thumbsup: I've only played on private shards since they were added because of that. The only public shard I join is the experimental one. ;)

Saw a few goats here and there, but never actually killed one to cook and eat it. The rest is done and done. The animal I "hunted" the most was the carp, at least 40-50 caught, cooked and ate. B) Can't wait to see more fresh water fishes! (trouts, bass, pike, etc.)

It has nothing to do with server side or not. It's all a matter of choice. I tested everything I wanted to check, and I can say the hypothermia is working great. B) (The fact that the camp fires are not working right now dosen't push me to test the new animal behavior just to kill them for nothing and such.) I don't really understand your question. I read that the servers might be rubberbanding and you could encounter lag spikes and rollbacks. Didn't experience any of the previous and everything was smooth. But nothing much added in my opinion. It's alright, but for now, I'm back in stable till I can light those camp fires once more! :lol: -

On a side note, even with the persistence enabled, the dynamic events seem to be visible now. Heli crash sites are probably fixed. Dynamic police car spawn. -

That's what i thought after some testing. No heat packs found either (don't know if they work now, as in stable they did jack shit to heat up anything really.... :lol: ) Going back to stable for now, as I don't see anything new at all that's worth "testing". (ALready tried the new animations and such, saw the animal behavior, but no new items added or new locations for now. I'll wait for the next exp update.) If you ever encounter anything new, let us know mate! And if you see me online, hit me up and I'll join up for some adventure on experimental anyway! Take care Tatanko! -

Anyone know how to start fires now? Crafted the fire starting kit, tried to add logs, or sticks, and tried to lit it with matches, but nothing worked. Dying of hypothermia for the first time since the first itteration of it a few months back.... -

Try using the search function please. This is a reported bug with the persistence on server, making items respawn endlessly. It's been a known bug since experimental 0.48 at least. (When the loot respawn mechanic was implemented along with the persistence.)

Anytime! The MP5 and it's mags spawn either at the police stations, or dynamic police car spawns. Again, those seem to be affected by the persistence and share the same bug as the heli crash sites. And try to find a Nato suppressor for the M4 or AUG, or an Eastern suppressor for the AK101 or 74 family, as they currently work. Although the sound is only a place holder, and the infected don't seem to care what so ever about the sound of the weapon and will aggro anyway, they work like a charm as for "silencing" your weapon past 25-30 meters. The suppressors spawn only in teddy bears under the Christmas trees. They will probably be removed with trees and teddy bears, and added to the crash site loot tables with the 0.53 stable patch. Nato suppressors will probably spawn at the UH-1Y (smoking one) and East suppressor at the Mi-8. (pistol suppressors don't seem to spawn at all) Anyway, have fun! -

They are bugged. You need to join a server with persistence disabled as they are invisible on persistent servers. -

Hmm, you seem to be late on info. Since 0.45-0.46, the M4 and FNX only spawned at UH-60 Blackhawk helicopter crash sites. Since 0.51, those crash sites have been changed to Bell UH-1Y "venom" helicopter crash sites, and they added the Steyr AUG and pistol grip shotgun to their possible weapon spawn. You can find AKM, AK101, AK-74 and AKs-74u with their attachments in barracks at military bases. There's lots of other weapons that were added and lot more weapon spawns in civilian locations and houses. Anyway, if you want an M4, you need to look for these. Good hunting! -

I think it's bout 5 or 6, and I tend to find v3s a lot in and around Zelenogorsk. Multiple possible spawns very close to each other. Most of the vehicle spawns seem to have changed also. They still respawn every server restart.

Hmm, it was probably a small glitch (which is already one to begin with... :lol: ) that you couldn't, as I found a V3S yesterday, got a canister, filled the truck and kept the canister "in my hands" (top of the inventory with hands free still) and didn't have any problem at all. I've stopped carrying other melee except knives, either combat, bayonet or kitchen knife as a challenge and mostly used my rifle to dispose of zombies. You can carry the "in your hands" item with something else you use in your hands, and it will only dropped the item once you put away the item you used in your hands.
