Fantastic shot! Really feels like the environment is taking over. So lush and green. Love the camp fire too, adds warmth! ;) I always stop by this place on my helicopter crash site search runs, sometimes catching a few carps in the nearby stream. B)

:lol: Wearing the wolf mask is never a good idea when trying to be a "hero" in DayZ... I kinda liked the bandits and heroes in the mod since they were directly linked to a mechanic of the game : the humanity system. But in the stand alone, there's no such thing. Only your real humanity, and the one you immerse yourself into, whether it's roleplay or plain military tactics with a group on TeamSpeak. I really liked the hero skin in the mod, and often go back to my makeshift version of it in the stand alone, but it's only as a personal taste, like you wearing that wolf mask. In the end, the "hero" style gameplay in my opinion is talk first and shoot later. Waiting a bit behind that house trying to hear what they were saying might have been a better idea, as the guy you shot was just eating there. A bit careless if you ask me, with all this apocalypse going on everywhere, but in the end, you just killing him straight like that was just cold blooded murder. :D Some call this "bandit" style, but it's clearly not as no one was robbed of anything (except his life... :rolleyes: ) and no interaction other than gunfire so, if someone call "banditry" on that, lol. Try using the mic a bit more man, might have been an interesting interaction, as those guys seemed to just have met and were using in game voip to communicate. Anyway, that's just my taste. Keep it up man.

Yes. Really like the flare gun and the effects it gives. The ambiance created makes me think of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. for some reason. Night time = :thumbsup: Can't get enough. (Can't wait to see the new renderer!)

I had these shots for a while, but was weary to post them to keep our "secret". ;) Kamensk is definetely my favorite village/place to be currently. As much as I like the prison, it's hell out there, as Kamensk and it's surroundings are heaven to me! :lol:

I've been hanging around there for a while now with a couple of characters and since I usually carry a fishing rod, there's everything to survive for a long time there! :thumbsup: It's still nice and quite up there. (Might not be for long! ;) )

Eventually we might be able to use a cooking fork or just a sharp stick to cook 1 piece at a time. It's a lot of space right now, the tripod plus the cooking pot, but if you think about it, it was rather silly to just "throw" the steaks in the fire to cook them.

No problems lighting fires so far. You can't add sticks to the crafted fire kit if the ground under you isn't leveled enough, if you're on a slightly steep hill it might not even work. After adding either 5sticks or 3 logs to the crafted fire kit, you can light it and add more wood if you want. I find that even just sticks last quite long enough for you to cook and get some heat. Heatpacks works great now. They go from pristine to baldy damaged before getting ruined and stopping giving heat. Note: The fires only light after the "matches" animation is complete.

The hatchet is pretty amazing. 1 or 2 hits for zombies. Got quite a lot of 1 hit kills with it. The ice axe has terrible reach in my opinion, and should be held 1 handed instead of 2 handed. Never found the mace and never used to shovel for the zeds.

Yes, and I'm guessing when this comes to stable (only the public hive will be wiped) then we'll all be f**ked! :lol: I have 3 to 4 vests on most of my characters with mags, food, ammo, meds, etc., that I use to get more items without having to use mountain packs or big backpacks, or even 6 slot pants and jackets. (I like to wear(4) jeans and a shirt(2) with a improvised leather backpack (25) so having vests in the backpack with items in them is... was a must! :rolleyes: ) Edit: The "items in items" I was referring to was with cooking pots (takes 4 slots, can carry 8 raw or cooked steaks/filets) medkits, protective cases and, well, the teddy bear.... <_< -

I understand what you're saying there and personally, I don't think they removed the feature because of "realism" and probably more to remove exploits from it, cause it was ridiculous. We can still carry items in items, but the infinite inception is gone. (For now at least...) In the end, I think this is gonna change again with the new HUD and inventory overhaul, probably. -

There's no "hardcore patch" or "easy mode". You get in soon, there's loot left, you get in late, the loot's been taken by other players, and current persistence is still very "work in progress" so loot dosen't respawn correctly. (Or despawn either.) Anyway, there's nothing solid or final in any version of the loot tables or persistence we see, until it's finalized and then polished. I like the survival aspect and the rarety of items too, but at this state there's no point getting attached to a certain "version" of the game yet. ( Of course, when the game is finished some of us will remeber the good old days when "xmas loot" was a thing on persistent servers, players had to search for crash sites on persistence disabled servers, or when every item that spawned was rotten fruits and vegetables... :lol: ) -

The thing is, there's no canacel current action appearing with the scroll wheel, so I drink (used to be "collect water" yesterday! ) and go to my inventory to right click on a food item and then cancel animation, then press "f" again to take a sip. Takes a little longer to get fully hydrated than the old spam, but it gets the job done in a few seconds. :thumbsup: Edit: Placing the food item near where the mouse cursor appear when going to the inventory also reduce the time it takes overall. -

Lots of fixes! Working great right now. The only issue I ever had today was with the clothes at the prison: couldn't pick any clothes at all while every other item was easily picked. Very well geared on 1PP servers. -

I'm pleased to see the "inception" of clothes exploit is finally fixed. Sadly it seems the AI was reverted back to the old animal AI, as I killed 2 deers and a boar with a hatchet and they had their old behavior. Other than that, I'm really enjoying the new exp patch! :thumbsup: -

You just have to cancel the animation and drink again. You can still "spam" it and quickly fill up on water pretty easily, just takes a bit more time. -
The .45 suppressor for the pistols isn't in the current loot tables (was only in exp 0.52 first version with the random "xmas" loot) so he most likely means the amphibia .22 pistol, which is currently a crash site spawn only.
