First thing that came in mind. :lol: For screenshots now. Really like the pistol holster for the plate carrier vest. Of course the suppressor sticks out, but it still looks pretty cool imo. Properly disposing of the infected. Taking a break before getting on the move again.

45 ACP rounds far less common post .55?

The only place I found loose rounds or ammo box for .45 acp is in out-house and UAZ. Rare like crazy. -
To anyone who still think the current broken loot table is forced and shouldn't be etc.etc.etc. Please avoid games still being developed. Official statement. :"To be clear, we need to go live with new features as soon as possible. No way to test/get data in such large scale in closed environment." Now all of us who understands that, I find it interesting to see all the different phases the game goes through, and right now the current loot spawns, although temporary, looks like time passed on and hot spots have already been looted. It's like we just came out of 15 years of "dayZ mod" apocalypse and everyone crashed or stalled their vehicles, and left what they couldn't carry with them lying around the wreckage. Currently the vehicles can spawn pretty good things. Also, the way some civilian houses have varied items all in the same corner, like a survivor barricaded himself there to make a last stand. It's pretty immersive for me, and like it a lot. Better enjoy it while I still can! :thumbsup:

I'm between neutral (survivor) and neutral good (hero) as I prefer to help out, share stories and supplies, or watch from afar instead of jumping into action and shooting everyone I see. I like to leave a good impression when leaving a survivor I just met so it be shared to others also. Of course it's never a certainty, but it's still a small ray of hope in the harsh land out there, that is the apocalypse. If I can add something, is that my third trait would be a fisherman. B) No melee on my back, but a fishing rod.

New sound effects for firing and reloading a Steyr AUG. Now we can hear the difference between the M4 and the AUG. Sound pretty sweet and accurate too. :thumbsup: Now I'd really like to have that "fire" sound effect you hear when a V3S gets destroyed added to camp fires! B)

You can't eat raw meat. You need to cook it first. Either use a gas stove or create a camp fire, add the cooking tri-pod and place the meat in a cooking pot, then watch out so it doesn't burn! :thumbsup:

Pistol only character on a private server. Suppressors are pristine and worn. Pretty happy to see pistol animations for the menu finally made it! :thumbsup:

I tried searching the posts and various threads, but didn't see anyone mention it. I always wanted this feature and even posted about it on the experimental branch thread for the 0.55 version since the menu idle character animations were back: holding a pistol if no melee or primary weapon available. My wishes came true...

I can see warnings 30-15-10 and 5 mins before restarts, might be the private hives though. If they don't appear on public hive, does that mean the service provider didn't script them?

Loot tables are bound to change. They have changed numerous times since I started playing back in December 2013. I can't think of how many times I checked every single "possible" item spawn points to adapt to what had changed, heck back then half of the buildings you know today didn't even spawn anything. Welcome to the end of the world, a virtual world in perpetual change do to being created by it's "gods". ;) -

Can't unbreak what isn't broken to begin with... Nothing is "game breaking" until the game is actually finished. Everything is bound to change. It's sad that you're not getting satisfaction for what you pay, your rented server, granted, but it was your choice to begin with to rent something that's part of an unfinished product who can be prone to interruptions of service at any time do to bugs and glitches. Something to always keep in mind in my opinion. -
UAZ is the name of the wrecked military type "jeep". Found all across the map. Not my screenshot. As for persistence disabled servers, it was one of the ones I usually play on, and it was in my favorites. You can search for them in the server browser, but most servers now have "forced" persistence. (It will become an integral part of DayZ, a game mechanic so we won't talk about persistence eventually.It will just be DayZ. ;) )

Very nice first vid. I liked it a lot. :thumbsup: Keep it up man! Off to a good start! BTW, powdered milk is just about the same as the rice bag, so it's the best caloric wise in the game. Just need to drink a bit after as it takes away some hydration, just like the rice. Sharing is caring! :beans:

You sure persistence is forced on all servers? After a server restart on a private hive I play, persistence disabled, all the loot inside the house I was in changed. Also, I found a server where the "new" loot tables were not enabled. Again, another private hive.

Player count is dying rapidly on 1PP server... :( As for menu idle animations, I'm really glad they're back!! :lol: I love stopping a character mid-animation to take screenshots! Dunno why it took about 5-6 months to get them back though...

I've found a box in a UAZ. Only 1 though, and searched about 50 of those looking for attachments. (They spawn LRS, PU scopes, pistol suppressors, weapon flashlights, etc.) .45 ACP and 5.56 are the rarest for me. Can find plenty of .308, 7.62x54r, 5.45, 9mm, shells, arrows, bolts, etc. but somehow .45 ACP and 5.56 are very rare. I dumped 2x30 rnd Cmag and 2x40rnd Cmag since M4s and AUG are pretty rare, and I don't search for crash sites anymore... They seem to be pretty glitched on persistence server, spawning items 20-30 feets away from the surroundings of the crash sites. No problems so far on persistence disabled servers. Police cars and crash sites (dynamic events) are packed with goodies on persistence off servers.

The loot tables are a work in progress. It's bound to change. Since everyone loves to go "Mel Gibson"/Lethal Weapon style with the AK and spray and pray, it has a big impact on the community, but let's not forget it's not the only item missing from the loot tables. Last year when the crossbow was introduced, around experimental 0.44, it had a quiver to quickly reload bolts by pressing "r". A few months after that, they somehow removed them from the loot tables. For Christmas 2014, we had a patch that added Christmas trees and other things, but the first time that patch went live on experimental, we had a 2 days of crazy loot where every item on the loot list was spawning everywhere. It was the first time we could actually see the MP5 rail grip, and have the .45 acp suppressor attach to it too. During this period, the quiver for the crossbow was back. After those 2 days, we had an "hotfix" for experimental and the loot tables were back to normal, the quiver disappeared with it... My point is, we're bound to see items appear and disappear from the loot tables as the create the game. Pretty much like when everyone lost their attachments do to them being renamed.

Why search for apples? Eat rice or powdered milk! :lol: People need to learn "where" to search now, and unlearn it once the loot tables change again. Mechanics change as the game gets developed/created. Small advice, search these three types of houses on your travels, they're spawning everything from military gear to plenty of food and medical supplies. The middle one has been very generous to me on my travels across the map. Also, check the wooden sheds with the open-able door. It's often found with another of the same type next to it, and it spawns everything too. New character that I started yesterday, on a "broken" loot server. About 15 players. I shoot infected, don't care much for the sound. Musty gaming server with this one. Was trying to find flares for an event... <_< Much easier to find everything else... lol

Yep, didn't do anything though... Heck, I ate about 14 peppers and 30 tomatoes, and didn't get energized. <_< It made me survive long enough to find rice and powdered milk so I made it out, but still, I believe fruits and vegetables needs to be tweaked. I wonder if the "disease" part of the infected tomato was also part of possible water poisoning we should have gotten with the current patch. Hmm.

I did some farming, and even before getting the fruits a tomato plant became "infected". Weird tomatoes, not rotten, but clearly not healthy.

When I first tested experimental 0.55 and encountered my first new infected, I laughed because I could clearly see their animations 2.0 while our character is still with 1.5 animations... :lol: "Hmm, upgrades..." B) I totally understood what Eugene meant by having them have an advantage until we get the update movement and animations. Being able to move while performing actions such as eating, gestures, bandaging or various medical treatment, and of course, better melee interactions. Seeing the zeds stagger when getting hit can hint towards players being able to stagger them before getting hit by directly affecting the area hit by either the melee or bullets. We'll see how it goes.
