Double Skulls. Only carrying suppressed pistols yet again. Private 1pp server. Public 1pp hive. Still carrying an M4, low on ammo, and just got my tan M65 jacket ruined. On the hunt for another one. Been alive for a long time, but got hit about 30-35 times total with this survivors, so I'm nearing the inevitable kill hit that breaks my spine... Better this than a wipe I guess. :lol:

Out-houses/toilets and small brown/beige sheds with a square window and a door. Found some in houses too, but less often.

Yep, totally understand that. But my kind of action isn't to kill fresh spawns. Although I understand it might be something some people might enjoy....

There's no reason to stay on the coast and kill fresh spawns. Unless you're a cannibal... I often read comments about fresh spawns being dangerous and people killing them are right. Why are you on the coast, fully geared, to begin with? So that if you die you can respawn closely and get back to your gear? :rolleyes: Some people are genuinely "bad", and enjoy when others have a hard time, struggle or are hurt. Sad, but true.

Exactly what Calibre said. Sometimes if you don't get hit, even though bright green energized and hydrated, you don't get the healing or healthy status. Once you get hit, no need for big damage or anything, it re-appears. It will be fixed eventually, as every hit will bring you closer to death. Breaking your spine even if you are in healthy status will kill you in 1 hit. Aggathor from WOBO explains it very well. Enjoy.

Hmm, quick question: Where are the pistol idle animations for player character in the menu? I have a very similar setup on both these characters and somehow only one is showing is pistol.

This is mainly do to netcode. It's all about the bandwidth, ping and desync. Playing on low ping servers, with a bandwidth between 100 and 300 makes those "long range infected hits" disappear. (I killed about 200+ infected since 0.55 hit stable, and this only happened to me once, and when I checked my bandwidth was at 3500 due to background downloads.) Actually, DayZ is a survival simulator.

It's all a matter of taste. Currently 0.55 is my favorite iteration of DayZ to date. I've been playing since December 18th 2013 and right now I can't get enough of DayZ.... It's only temporary, so better enjoy it while we can!

Out-houses, cars/trucks and UAZ are your best bet right now. Came across everything you're looking for at these.

I've died numerous times going to the shipwreck, but learned how to deal with it, and now I often stop there to gear up when I spawn near it. Never died in that particular area of the boat though, as I had read about it and avoided that part. -
Does fish netting still only spawn on the coastal boats?

Well, right now the sword and flanged mace are pretty easy to find because of the "bugged" unfinished loot tables, but prior to 0.55 they could only be found at castle. They were pretty rare. It's kinda nice to now have easy access to them to test and such, but with the infected 2.0, I've tried the sword and it was pretty useless. I though it would have more range, like it use to, and be as good as it was but not anymore. Well, all the melees will probably have an overhaul once player animations gets tweaked and updated. We'll see how it turns. Right now I'm just having a blast playing with only suppressed pistols and sneaking from village to village. B)

Yes, but it's all part of the cooking overhaul. I just shared the gif for references. The fish wasn't cooking at all in 0.53 and 0.54, now it seems it's totally gone. The fillets that is, caught carps or sardines, but trying to make fillets always end up in a small pile of guts and no fillets at all right now.

Tried the same thing. Seems like the carp fillets have been removed from the time being. I know they are gonna be replaced pretty soon.

You know you can use the pouches like a protective case, med kit or ammo box. Takes 8 slots, can carry 10 items. Takes lots of spaces, granted, but you can just use "view content" to access what's inside.

The current loot system isn't finished, and only temporary. The devs said that tagging every item to the locations they want takes time as the heat tables for loot system will be very different than what it was. Instead of being building based, it'll be "area" based, with specific items spawning in certain areas. Right now only the crash sites seem to spawn their correct loot, and even them sometimes don't respawn anything, or items spawn far from the crash site itself. There's still this problem with crash sites being visible, but the items themselves are in another location. Anyway, as far as I know AK101 mags will rarely spawn at Mi-8 crash sites, but currently we can't find them at static spawns like the AK74 and AKM mags.
