In a somewhat "competitive" multiplayer game like DayZ (it's not supposed to be a competitive game, but just check streamers and youtubers, or most players out there and tell me they're not competitive... <_< ) I feel that a 3PP camera, with it's easily exploitable features, has no place at all. My main problem is not really the exploitable camera, as I mostly play on 1PP servers, or the migration from 1PP to 3PP, as I don't play to murder others. (KoS, etc.) My main problem is with people justifying exploits in any way. You can do it if you want, but don't start preaching it's ok because others do it, or whatever reason you can think of. (And by "you" I don't mean you personally, but whoever is concerned.)

    As far back as I can remember, the healing status only appears past a certain blood level. You start regenerating blood and health as soon as you drink and eat, no need to have bright green energized, but it speeds up the process.

    I haven't seen any animals at all yet. I crafted a spare rope and I'm looking for a fishing hook now. I have plenty of everything, and then some. Myshkino tent city was filled with infected, but I crouched around and gathered what I needed without aggroing any. I left plenty of stuff there for other survivors too. There was a lot of canned food around the base.

  10. I don't see why it's so hard to understand some players play NOT for the pvp, but for the survival aspects, and mostly play on 1PP. (unless they remove the 1PP servers from experimental from time to time <_< ) I don't mind people exploiting bad mechanics or whatnot, what I hate is people who try to JUSTIFY their behavior. Why ask around if exploiting is exploiting? This is just silly. Let's do a funny quote from Shia Laboeuf : " Just do it!" and don't come asking for acceptance from the community, or be prepared to face replies.

  12. If you think you are abusing, or exploiting, then there's no doubt at all... I love how it's been noted a thousand time, that if "everyone" else do it, then it's ok... Can't wait to see everyone jump off a cliff just because everyone else does it, and laugh while I watch them plunder to their deaths, being the last sole survivor of the "retarded" apocalypse of 2022. (sarcasm for anyone who didn't notice... <_< ) Back on topic: exploiting the camera could be only a temporary thing, as they're trying to solve this issue by changing it. We'll see how it goes after that.

    Dynamic events are currently NOT dynamic. Been like that since 0.55 honestly. I used to be a crash site hunter, but either in 0.55 stable or all the exp build since then, all the crash sites or police cars have been static.

    Hmm, reading it again made me think you're probably right. English is NOT my primary language, they should've assumed that others too might not have understood it the "right" way. "The stable branch update won't have infected spawning, and persistence will be disabled. This is only a temporary measure while these two issues continue to be worked on, and we'll see both base building, and infected return with a vengeance as soon as possible." This makes more sense to me. Edit: Without infected in a stable build, we'll see PVP rise again... senseless killings all over the place. Will probably be avoiding this patch, as the kids calm down a bit when the crazies are brought back.

    Where was that stated? The official word I read was in the status report, and it clearly stated the the infected would be spawning in stable. "As these systems are actively being worked on by the gameplay programming team - the stable branch update will have the spawning of infected, and the persistence disabled on stable branch servers. This is only a temporary measure while these two issues continue to be worked on, and we'll see both base building, and infected return with a vengeance as soon as possible."     You're the master of this world and have all it's knowledge?? What are you still doing on this forum!!! :o <_< Seriously though, I've participated in about 35-40 alpha stage softwares for the past 10 years or so, and I'm currently in 11 alphas/betas. What you're saying makes no sense, as it been a rather very similar experience for all those alphas and betas... The ones that are not normally conducted are resumed to the ones who don't complete their work. (WarZ, Stomping Land, The Fifth Day, etc.) No matter what I say, or you say, you're entitled to your opinion, but telling it like it's a fact is just plain wrong, fundamentally. Back on topic: Gonna try this YOLO test server if it's still up! :thumbsup:

    Well, as much as I'd like to have the starvation again to live off the land, it's seems there's food everywhere. Can't be sure if it's items respawning or just left overs, as I haven't backtracked on the server I was on. It looks like Southcentral 3PP 1-1 keeps CTD when trying to get in. All other servers works fine for me. I have to say that I'm having lots of fun in current experimental, but can't wait for it to hit stable, as they said all stable public servers wouldn't have persistence enabled. For those who wants proof, read the status report. I love that. Having persistence only tested on experimental might help the general experience, as we've been testing DayZ with persistence for the past 6-8 months without much improvement on that side. Thing I'd love to see fixed the most right now would be the dynamic events, as all the heli crash sites and wrecked police cars spawn at the exact same place since 0.55, and there's nothing dynamic at all with that. One thing I find pretty weird though, is that a while ago, maybe back in August or September last year, Brian Hicks said there wouldn't be any static police cars, and asked us the locations of those we found. Fellow member Deathlove and I had provided him with screenshots and locations of the static police cars we knew (one at "terminus", next to the office, for example) and in the next build, they were removed. But, what about now? There's seem to still be few static police cars out there. The one in the parking lot between Novo and Severograd, the one in the garage behind the police station of Severograd and the crashed one at 052 004 near Stary Yar. My question is: Do they still want static police cars, or will they all be dynamic eventually?? Lastly, there's no starvation at all in the current exp build. B) Some random shots of experimental 0.57, various builds. Keep up the good work Eugene, Chris, devs, you're doing great!! :thumbsup:

    After testing out the same server and same locations for the weekend, I have to admit that I didn't see any items respawn, at all. Yes, I tried the torch, but during the day. I dunno if it's a bug, but there was light emanating even though no flame was showing.

    Yep. I found a green cargo bed V3S at Vavilovo, the spawn closer to the NWAF, and then another one, this time blue, strangely parked behind the guard house at the bus depot just south west of Vavilovo. (Often called "terminus".) I scratched the first one I had on a small bush, at about 5mph, making both front wheels disappear, and that made the V3S almost completely uncontrollable. I left it around 025-040 on US Southeast1 1PP. They seem to have tweaked them and it feels somewhat more tough to drive now. Still waiting the manual box though...
