I don't get attached to gear but this one was worth sharing especially in exp. I can't believe how lucky I got to find this. I have not even found the SVD yet :blush: I totally understand the feeling. :thumbsup: Even though I didn't intend to use it, and never got the chance anyway with the wipe between 6th and 7th stages. (Or was it 5 and 6??) Gotta love finding rare things in DayZ !!

Experimental have always been overall better in terms of non-hostile interactions and encounters. But, it varies greatly from player to player.

I used to eat lots of berries at various points in the game, the red berries were always edible, but the blue ones were poisonous all the time, it wasn't just from overeating them. I wonder if it's like that now, and it's only a chance rather than a certitude.

I know it's almost sure to be fixed with the new player controller and animation mechanics, thus I shouldn't have asked for it, sounding a bit desperate too. I guess it was too fresh in my mind that it was probably the reason I had been killed. :lol:

Right after being killed by the guy I mentioned earlier, I hit respawn and try to get back there to get some vengeance. That's where I grabbed some berries and noticed the new models. 10 minutes after, I found a shotgun, and 2 rounds in a quick loader from a deer stand, and a hundred meters away, there was a boar. After a bit of running back and forth chasing him, I finally took a shot and got it. Only 1 shell left at that point, but was very glad to get the pelt for my favorite backpack, and some meat to cook and eat. After eating up, I headed towards Rogovo where I was killed. On my way there, I encountered another player. Like always, I made the wiggle dance like in the mod, and he did the same. We approached each other and started talking. He wasn't hostile in any way and in fact, gave me some shotgun shells for my MP-133 and a stack of .357 in case I come across a magnum. Another reason why, even after just being killed, I still give a chance and talk before shooting. (Even though I couldn't do much anyway with only 1 shell...) Thank you mister Nobrain, if you ever see this. (He's french so: Merci beaucoup Nobrain, c'est très apprécié!!)

I don't think I've ever had my fists come up when I hit F1.... Can anyone else verify this? Is there a possible key binding conflict in your config? Since December 18th 2013, whenever I hit F1 to wave "hi", half of the time the character raises his fists. I've seen it on many occasions with other players too. It's pretty common honestly, surprised you never saw it before... On a side note, did anyone else notice the red berries have changed models. Are they still edible?

Hmm, the KOS is strong with this one... Just wanted to test the new patch, first guy I see, I start to talk to him, he answers and then come into my house. I wave hi, my guy raises his fists, the dude says "No fight" raise his weapon and kills me... <_< Pretty stable patch overall, not much desync or lag, but that being said, not ready for stable yet, as the -newui is still horrible... edit: Please fix the "wave" animation. For the past year+, when you hit F1, half of the time your character raises his fists at the same time...

A forgotten friendly encounter ... where a random guy turns to be a great company. Plus he was kinda forgetful... :D

It's not gonna be in one big push, it will be gradually integrated. Parts of the new renderer mechanics are here, and the rest will come eventually. (lighting, shadows, particles, etc.) Check out the latest status report, as it's explained pretty clearly there.

With the new ui, those messages will be a thing of the past. But most importantly for me, we'll be able to turn off the hud too. :thumbsup: "Second very important screen is HUD overlay, which as you noticed with latest 0.59 experimental we started to implement. The master of hold ups, Sobieski, would agree, and like this post. :thumbsup: Same applies to me. (Although I don't really hold-up players, and have a non-threatening play style anyway... But I agree 100%, it's better than no interaction at all.) -
Personally, I'd take a Blaze over the VSS any day, but like you said, I had to check it out/test it! B) I'll try and take shots of my 1PP, which is very different. Hoping to get some game time tonight, but that might not be possible with Fallout 4... :P

3PP experimental 0.59 I like the modifications they did to the -newui menu, but the -newui itself is still horrible compared to the current in-game ui. Personal opinion, for sure. (I secretly hope they stick with the old ui, it works great and looks simple, yet efficient.) Details of the gear.

I found a boar north of Cherno, at 050, 117, and another one at 080 038, on the hill near that small village. Both 1PP and 3PP characters have improvised leather backpacks. Been loving this pack since it came out around June/July 2014. :thumbsup:

Sometimes when you kill an animal an you don't have the option to skin it, punch it, or hit it with a melee. Then you'll have the option to skin it. You need to be standing pretty close to it to skin it.

Wow!! I had seen all the others, but I had no idea about the "corner house". I love it. The yellow church is probably one of my favorite buildings now, looks terrific. I had always been waiting for it. Thanks for the shots! :thumbsup:

I decided to head back to Cherno this afternoon in the hopes to have a little bit of fun with the infected. (Even though they are still the old models, etc.) I logged in my 1PP character and made my way into the city, trying to avoid them at first and get to the center of town. Didn't encounter anyone not infected there, but there was many bodies scattered around. Overall I had a good time, and even though the server was mostly full, I didn't encounter much lag, rubberbanding or desync. Other than that, I really like that the ammo is more scarce now, but with stacks being always full, it's still pretty easy. So far I haven't crashed once in 0.59 experimental. Looking forward the new versions.

This was added midway in 0.58 stable and is currently in the stable build. Comes in blue and black, blue with little orange highlights, green and black and this red and black one.

Did you join the same server? Was your character a 3PP public? 1PP public? Or a private hive character?? All private hives are separate, so you need to join the same server, or one connected to the same hive to be able to play as the same character. Same thing applies to 3PP public and 1PP public, both branches are separate. There's a roaming bug out there where the server has problem connecting to the central hive to retrieve character info, but that only occurs rarely. (Or frequently for some, but personally, after 1576 hours in-game, this bug only occurred a few times back around 0.40 build...)
