First off, I know this is an old thread, but it saved me starting a new one to ask the same old question ;) Has there been any change to the eating in the game? (Wow, had no idea it`d been so long since I gave up playing lol)

Well, to start with, the noise isn`t even remotely normal. Anyone that makes a noise like that obviously has some serious problems ;p In deacades of watching zombie films/games I`ve never once heard this kind of "squelching" noise, not even from the zombies ;) As for the sample, how about an option so that users can set their own sound file on their own. Clicking that option would pop a requester to link to the sound file that user wants to use. This setting would make it so that only that individual user would hear the change, making it so no one else would end up hearing offensive/copyrighted files & so on.

Whilst the devs are still obviously busy bunnies, it`d be nice to hear something (other then food ;p ) about this. I haven`t touched the game since I last posted in here, because I just can`t stand that unrealistic/sodding awful eating. Pleeeeeeeeeeease, let us mod it out so that we can save you the hassles :) /grovels

Not suggesting ability to wield two melee weapons at once (although.....) but as it stands now, swinging an axe in a 3D arc makes melee in hallways, tents etc almost completely pointless, as it`ll hit the side & continue swinging but hit sod all. How about a second keybind or in game automatic, so when in close quarters, so that the player can do a forward thrust or similar, so that we can actually hit players, zombies, npcs etc. Having to run back outside or into an open room, just to swing a melee weapon isn`t often an option & fighting with fists is meh at best.

Yeah I know there are other things that need dealing with first, but they can see you name when you type or talk & get your steam account via this. As luck would have it I bought the original ARMA games plus DayZ mod without any chance of stalkish type folk, even if they`re the friendly sort ;)

Any chance of giving us the option to change our characters names in game? At the minute, it is taken from our steam account, which leads to folk deciding to add us just because we ran into each other maybe once or twice in game. I`ve had three adds sent in the two times I`ve run the game. Had similar in M:Wizard Wars, until they gave us the option. Thanks in advance.

Hi folks. Signed up just to agree with this. irl I find the sound of folk eating disgusting, to the point that I refuse to be near anyone eating, because chances are, I`d just want to throttle them. Seriously. An option to mute eating/drinking sounds alone would be good, although a way to alter the sound sample so we can put something in there ourselves that doesn`t make me want to throw my CRT monitor through the nearest wall. Even the end of the sound sample in the clip above made me rage hehe Really hope this is possible, as removing my headset just to eat food in any game is irritating.
