This is pretty much what we have right now Bandit/Killed many/ Bandanna for bandit identification, does not show backpack Survivor/ Somewhere in between/ No perks Hero/ helped more than killed/ Hero skin for identification, bulletproof vest(tested), runs faster Many think this is unfair as one the hero path offers more advantage I believe that it is MUCH EASIER to be a Bandit than a Hero. Given the situation below, this is what would probably happen You see a loner with broken legs crawling to the hospital, you would have approach to him if he wasn't carrying a big caliber weapon. instead you: Bandit Path Easy- Kill him Not so easy- force him to drop weapons and rob him Hero Path Very difficult- force him to drop weapons, offer him aids, patch him up, give him some supplies (and hope that this survivor will not backstab you later on) Yes i know there are dozen ways to solve this, but this'll have to do for the post It is much easier to be a bandit, as you can pretty much do whatever you want, no morality, no nothing. because it is easier you suffer from the bandanna Hero on the other hand, is a much harder path to go by since to become one you will have to actually trust and listen to other players in the game, you have to give some time and decide whether if this is a good idea or an bad one. Hence the slight advantages I'm not saying that each path should be rewarded and/or punished in the SA, but since they got nothing else that can replace this as of now, this is as good as it gets. what do you guys think?

Proposal: Blood stains The more people you kill, the more blood you will have on your skin, till...your covered with only red as time passes by(should be a while, not 1 or 5 min), the blood stain will slowly fade away When you have little blood- Hmm this guy murdered but maybe it's accident/self defense/friendly fire etc (At least this makes them think before deciding your fate... BAM* DEAD) when you have lots of blood-Whoa this guy may be up to no good, i know it still could be in self defense, but i can't make mistakes (At least you will not be kos just because you suddenly got a bandit skin) This gets rid of the problem of Hero n' bandit skin, since there's nothing stopping a bandit from helping another survivor or a hero killing bambies. No more OH LOOK IT'S A JERK MUST KILL HIM or OH LOOK IT'S A HERO LET'S HOLD HANDS Is that better?

The Adventure of Doc Ep3 Got shot at cherno as I was repairing the Cherno bus fully geared, few tents, remin, gps, etc etc So at the two server (one now and one earlier) I did a 40 min experiment (5 lives to be exact) on other people's reaction towards lonemedics such as myself 1. At the Cherno bus (Fully geared, gps, tents, alice) "Hey I see you aiming at me, what's ~!*" BAM, dead (probably should have switched to direct chat) right in the head with an AK 2.Farm near cherno (No backpack,lee enfield) This female survivor saw me and took a shot at me with a crossbolt from the hip, probably should have thanked her for killing the zombie right beside me. While she hid in the barn I said "If I wanted to kill you I would have done so, here's some bandage, food, and morphine" *puts them on the ground* "If you need blood look for me in Cherno hospital" As I peek back I saw her came out of the barn, took the stuff off the ground, and gave me a salute 3.At Cherno, near the firehouse (No backpack, Lee Enfield) The very same man that killed me earlier was now being chased by a dozen Zeds, I ran straight at him and said "You probably shouldn't have killed me, didn't even give me a chance to ninja-blood transfuse you" No respond from him. Runs into the hotel and took a few shots at the zed "I'm still a medic, if you need blood come to the hospital" knowing that he wasn't going anywhere with 20+ zeds walking in the hotel I took a few shots at them. Knew this was the best chance, this survivor ran out with his AK and sprayed his bullet all over the place, including the zeds, oil drums, and myself. The zed started to follow him again and finally traps him in the 2 story house. As I ran around the house I could see his whole body through the window (not facing me) I said "I see you right now, could have emptied a few rounds on your head already, it would be great if you*#~ " suddenly he turns around and takes a few more shot at me. Finally, i died by running into him when I decided to go to the Hospital, hoping to see the other survivor 4. at nwf/cherno firehouse (No backpack, crowbar/fullgear, AS50,FNFAL,nvg, range finder) was about to loot firsthouse when i saw a hero with the M24, said friendly and asked him if he needed blood; no response. Zombie swarmed us and he fired his M24 with 10+ shot per second LOL WELL hello there hacker, how you do? He teled us to nwf and i found myself fully geared with endgame material "...HOLY MOLLY". the airfield was already filled with trashed SUV van and ...some kind of plane, were all probably spawned by him earlier. He spawns an Helicopter, told him I am not riding it so I got into the gun seat and we flew away. Not wanting to live anymore, I ejected at a bad time (20 ft off ground) broke my bones, and died. Thanks hacker but no thanks, didn't even get to ninja-blood transfusion him XD Even though I lost all my gear multiple times...LOL it was still a blast! Saw some of Farnkie's video and I shall try hiding in trees/bushes and telling them to drop their gun next time.

I am not going to edit it just so Steak n' patata can laugh and crit about it every time he sees it ;) So basic rules(for me), you see an: 1. Unarmed survivor/hero/other skins- ask if they need help 2. armed survivor/hero/other skins- avoid or hide first to force them drop their weapons 3. armed Bandit/ghille with sniper rifles- avoid or KoS 4. everyone else not mentioned- avoid n' RoS

The adventure of Doc vol.2 Tired of all the carpet bombs dropping from all over the place by hackers, I tried something new and logged onto a private server. I woke up at the beach again, no big surprise there. But as i turned around, I saw the airfield; boleta, one of the frequent place bandits check up on. So i decided to not check there at all and moved at the direction towards cherno. Found a car just lying in the middle of the road, THANK YOU BEANS GOD, it was badly damaged but still worked. Going at 34km/.h I finally parked it in some industrial ground and left to search for some parts. As soon as I arrived at the mall, i noticed that, other than the firehouse, everything was BLOWN UP, with 2 crashed heli around the church, or what's left of it. Anyone could tell this was probably the work of scriptkids but greed and curiosity got the better hold of me, i went and investigate. I than learned that curiosity killed the cat; as I got near one of the heli, my legs broke and inches away from my head was...bunch of charges. before I can even say OHH SH*** KABOOOOMMMM. Luckily I woke up again to find that I was very close to where I parked my car. As I entered some civilian building, in front of me was another survivor; Adrenaline rushed and I almost pulled the trigger and emptied some rounds of AK into this survivor. After calming down, i realized this one had no weapon at all, just a czech pack. I told him I wasn't going to kill him, no response. I told him he can tag along long as he doesn't find a weapon, still no response, but he followed anyway. As we arrived at the firehouse, this survivor immediately rushed into the firehouse, thinking that this one is a bad egg and probably was trying to find a weapon to kill me, I climbed up the ladder to the top of the firehouse. I see him picking up an Ak so I quickly arm my own Ak and screamed "PUT THE GUN DOWN, ON THE GROUND, RIGHT NOW", he reloads his weapon, turned around and stared right back at me. The tension lessened when he started to swing his head around like a kid who just got his first toy weapon. So we ended up not killing each other and separated. I went back to my fully repaired car, drove it to the railtrack, only to find yet again the same survivor previously encountered getting chased by a bunch of zeds. Not wanting to let anyone die today, I stopped the car and told him to get in. It got very quiet on the car, and I was bothered by that. I asked him if he can speak english or chinese because I am fluent in both. after a few min i finally see something on the typed chat, he said "I Japanese" LOL well at least it's mutual. We got to electro, he suddenly ejects out of the car and ran into the church, i stopped the car by the fire house, got out and was immediately shot by an lee enfield. Frustrated I had one last look at the screen, thinking that it was him who killed me, I remembered that we had the same weapon and he logged out right after running into the church. The evidence was revealed when some bandit with his facewrap walked over me. You know who you are, and if you believe that what happened earlier today was fun and the way you like to play DayZ, pm me and we should fight side by side again Lesson learned: it's fine if you die over n' over again, but give other people chances, because that's how you shape others and let them know that it doesn't always have to be resolved by killing. If you want to change that, YOU need to start first :)

Name at the time: Seeker, Faith, Faithseeker, or Doc (yes i know i am so good with original names) Date: near the end of july Location: Electro, the fire station near the beach (night time) What I had: Survivor clothe, m1991, AKM(I just found minutes before the incident), coyoty patrol bag, food, drink, painkillers, nothing else Other survivors? (TBH I really can't recall the exact numbers so I may miss one or add one) 3 survivor with 2 pistols and 1 winnchester/ the female bandit with enfield What happened: 2nd time logging into DayZ at the fire station near the beach, connected on the top of the fire station i found one AKM with 3 clips right infront of me, moments later i heard 2 sniper shots coming from outside. I rushed downstairs to closed the 3 big gates and the back door as 3 players rushed into the station with a few zombies right behind them. I never kill players ingame but I guessed my AKM was somewhat threatening so the 3 of them kinda just stood/crouched there infront of my face as the zombies was mauling down one of them.I used voice chat and said "Get behind me n' get upstairs". Hesitation kicked in so the 3 of them only moved to my left side, as I finished off the 3 zeds with my AKM the aggo'ed ones came inside. After a moment of awkward silence one of them finally used voice chat and said...we are from a clan, there's a sniper outside trying to take us down, making videos for youtube (sorry, i don't remember the exact diologues) One of them threw a flare inside the station to make things much more clear and much more exposed. Immediately I spoke on voice chat, telling them people from miles away can see that flare popping of so they got rid of it. Soon after that another female survivor walked to the fire station door with an enfield on her hand; She saw me as the closest target so she shot me first, as I was dying I screamed out “SHOTS FIRED, TAKE HER DOWN” when I got to the death screen I heard 4 more shots and the 2 survivor dropped dead (don’t remember the names but they died right after me and there was no other sounds from their weapons so I am fairly certain they didn't know each other) I searched about the incident on youtube and forum weeks after that but had no luck So...anyone recognize this incident on any other post or youtube?

so that's what off map looks like? just plains with nothing? If i keep walking west, would I eventually go offmap? or would there be a barrier preventing me to do that?

What about hiding them at places off the map? (the wilderness or debug island) If i travel to the edge of the map right now can I actually move off the map without glitching or hacking? (never been there before)

I seen countless post with people raging on the hoarders, but isn't that what anyone would do during the times of DayZ where everything is scarce and follows the rule of finders keepers? I myself has a few tents scattered throughout the map filled with medical supplies and common weaponry and ammunition , and one s1203 van I found with terrible condition in prodi. I fixed it up, hid the van in the forest and takes it out whenever I go to cherno and electro, does that make me a hoarder? The only vehicles i ever came across was the bus in electro and the atv near the coast. Thought i could find motorbike or even old bikes because they have so many spawn points, no luck so far What do you guys think?

I think it would work ONLY if they figure out how to stop the hoarders first (maybe block the paths to places off the chart? or something like that)

I have read the fix forums already, they help but most of the time nothing works Earlier today I was at the airfield and saw what seems to be nvg and some sort of sniper rifle on inside one of the hangar, but as soon as in got inside, my screen went from normal to HOLY****DUBSTEP ATTACK I couldn't shake the dubstep away and I was already chased by countless zombies. The good news was that there seemed to be another survivor picking off zombies with assault rifle that was chasing me (...Hero maybe? anyone could probably tell i was having glitches as you don't see a survivor running into buildings throwing flares all over the place everyday) I tried to switch server, flush, change other settings, even restarting OA Am I the only one who keeps getting these bugs? it makes looting any places with corpses of marines and tents almost impossible. how did you managed to get rid of them during your lives at DayZ?

Super legit. I don't know about others, but this is almost equivalent to commentaries on youtubers, well done! SHUT UP and take my beans ;) MAKE MOARRRRR

The last time i checked i got about 14 wire, 7 tank trap, and 1 sandbag with no entrenching tools, 2 toolbox I would love to join but from where I am there's only 2 servers I can go on without reaching 400+ ping HOWEVER if you already got a big team going, let me know and we can arrange for people to get them from me It sounds impossible but than again it would be impressive if we manage to pull it off PM and let me know how I can help Server rest, I is dead. now: 0 wire, 0 tank trap, 0 sandbag, 0 entrenching tools, 0 toolbox
