I don't believe there should be any "picking" of traits. Only that you would get better or faster at certain things the more times you actually do them in-game. and only very slightly after lots or practice. But still, I take your point.

2000 across the server.

In the early days of the mod the zombies were an immense threat, and the player interaction was much more tense and interesting as a result. It feels like most of my player interactions are goofy and trivial... Standalone honestly won't feel right to me until the new zombieAI and numbers are in, and a stealth mechanic is implemented.

Which is why I am in favor of a slow and relatively minor improvement in skills such as bandaging, or building, or fishing, or whatever. It can add a little more weight to a characters life without jeopardizing the level playing field when it comes to player interactions.

Neither of you are contributing.... Scatter, they'll move it to stable as soon as it isn't shit. What they're doing is difficult and there is no way to predict the nature/duration of issues that might arise. Iron, don't be a douche nozzle back to him just because he was being a douche nozzle to the developers. An eye for an eye etc... oh and its in the forum rules somewhere...

You really needed to go for that guy with the farming hoe right from the very beginning. He was the only real threat since you were wearing a bike helmet.

DEADLY Ricochet Mechanic Proved True
TheLastEmp replied to BadContrakt's topic in General Discussion
Soooo. I was on top of the tall apartment buildings across from the grocery store in Berezino. And I fired off a mosin shot at a player on the top of the apartments by the police station north of berezino. From a crouched position. Clear line of fire. The bullet ricocheted off of thin air and hit me in the leg. I was thoroughly surprised. -
Fuel for it will be an interesting element. I'm assuming it will take just straight gasoline as opposed to the 50/50 Gas/oil mixture their supposed to get. I'm down with the chainsaw so long as it's loud and obnoxious but you can just hold down the trigger and let zombies run in to it.

I know of an admin who has utilized this. Its pretty easy for them to do.

Can someone tell me the parts I need to build a pc for dayz SA and minecraft?

I don't think problems is the right word.... It won't be as pretty. But your fps would be excellent. I'm not advocating the set-up you hypothesized, I would simply make purchasing a quality cpu my priority when building a pc for this game. -

I don't think you understand how cpu intensive these games are. My point is that if you spend equivalent amounts on both CPU and GPU, there isn't a snowball's chance in hell of getting anywhere close to 100% gpu utilization. If you want good fps in cities you pony up the extra money for a fast i5, then spend whatever is left on a gpu. if its 100 bucks, fine, you'll have to turn some texture quality down and stuff like that, but you'll still get 45-55 fps in Cherno. If I buy a better gpu and a worse cpu, it won't matter what I change my settings to, I'm still gonna get worse fps in cities. Edit: The game was developed on an i5 if I recall correctly. -
I believe I heard it mentioned by Sacriel42 in a stream. He's a friend of Rocket. My own in-game experiences since learning this has pretty much confirmed it for me.

So! Just a quick PSA regarding Energy and Hydration levels. Reaching "bright green" hydrated and energized does not mean that your energy and hydration "bars" are full. Upon reaching Bright green you are still only about 25% fully energized. This means you can continue to eat... A lot! And you won't be wasting the food. You're simply stockpiling energy giving you longer periods or "healing" without having to eat as regularly. I only carry food with me if I'm completely stuffed. And I eat it at the first available opportunity. This is the best way to heal quickly when injured and it frees up space in your inventory! Happy Hunting!

The reason Zombie clipping isn't fixed.
TheLastEmp replied to Dontstealmycheese's topic in General Discussion
I knew there was going to be a shit-storm after they beefed of the zombie speed and respawns. It's identical to the people who said it was impossible to effectively melee in the mod. They refused to believe that there is a way of doing things other than the way they happen to do things. They got comfortable running around completely ignoring zombies and now they don't know how to adapt. Edit: I think the zombies are fast enough... There needs to be more of them... and it needs to be possible to sneak around them.
