Wondering If theres anyway to play DayZ in single player with like NPC's or something?

Usually with DayZ commander your best bet if something goes wrong is to just re install everything, even if it is a pain. Make sure (if using steam) that you've went through all the DayZ commander settings and checked the proper file locations and such. Good Luck anyhow.

Well "DayZ" is using the Arma engine, which is quite poorly optimized, if you have nvidia cards I suggest using their "Ge-Force Experience" software, which will finetune DayZ to get the most performance out of your GPU. But yeah, Arma is sadly generally poorly optimized.

Ah, that first DayZ experience is always exciting, I give you props for not shooting the first guy you met, which is pretty good! :D but yeah you have to play it very cautious with players, as most of them aren't friendly.

Yes, you will be able to run it. Just monitor your CPU/GPU temperatures and if they get high tone the settings down as need be. Nice pc build overall.

If your playing the mod, most servers allow you to type "kill me" in the chat if its a private hive. If standalone just climb a roof then fly with the birds.

Drove an ATV over bridge and flew into the air then I exploded. 10/10 server would buy ATV again.

Sorry but it will not. bootcamp already cuts down half the performance of the latest macbook pro will barely run it. This is do to the very very high resolution of the screen. If you do not feel like building your own PC to run it, check out http://www.cyberpowerpc.com/ There you can find a good pc that will be able to run it for around 500-600$ Cheers!

Recently when i fired up the good old DayZ Commander App, I tried to play some DayZ. Heres what happens: As the little loading thing apears, i hear church bells, then the icon pops up saying " Arma 2 OA has stopped working" and as I click cancel on it, i hear a weird whistle every time i hit cancel on it. What ive tried: -Did full scan with Malware bytes Pro (nothing detected) -Reinstalled Arma 2 OA -Made sure all the mods and everything was up-to-date After being mildly frustrated, I have post this here as Its been anoying trying to play, this never happened before which is quite strange, has anyone else had this problem? EDIT:::: After re-installing everything works for a few hours, then after i log off and in a few hours or so come back on, it happens again and i have to rinse-and-repeat to play. :/

When in electro at the hospital i thought of a new idea for a future dayZ update and or side mod, or in the standalone. Diseases. For example diabetes requireing you to need insulin shots and find other medicines. This would add a cool aspect to the game incorporating real-life medical issues. Another idea for it could be allergys, only being able to eat certain foods etc. Im sure you get my point, as im sure theres S plenty of other things that could be added to diseases and what the player would have to do for them. CONTRIBUTE! :D

Hello all and lately when I try to use the mouse scrolling option to do things like, get in cars, check bodies and tons of other stuff. But when I try to use mouse scroll it doesn't work, well at least not at first try, ill have to rapidly scroll for about a min before it works. Anyway info on the mouse: its a wireless USB mouse by rocket fish its relatively new like 2 years ago i bought it, not sure what the problem is but please help for ive died a few times lately by my heli crashing and im not able to bail D: thanks for reading! -kevsta545

I hoped DayZ would be a success, I'll start off with that I guess. Some would say it is a success, If your counting how many copies it's sold, that is. But that's not what I look for in a game, especially in games like DayZ that start with a small idea that ends up becoming something big, I look for dedication. So when I heard that at the end of 2014 he will be permanently leaving the DayZ team I was shocked. After going through years of development he won't be able to fully put his finishing touches on the game. I'm sure DayZ will be fun and all and have everything they promised, but I was hoping for rocket to be the man designing the ways to execute challenges, and be the creative man in charge. Which if course he will be for quite some time. But in a way I don't look at DayZ the same anymore, you know something's wrong when the main dev of the game calls his creative vision "fundamentally flawed" I was very upset. So what's with all this rambling about you may be asking? We'll if any of you noticed or cared, I've been increasingly less active on the forums, as I've slowly begun to lose interest on it all. So this is a farewell to everyone, I may come back in time, but at the current point in time I'm gone from all this, thanks to everyone who made these forums some of the best times I've ever had.
