This has been suggest an abundant amount of time, I for one am for the idea, you could get diseases if you eat the wrong stuff though, the uman body is vastly poisonous, so you'd have to apply real world knowledge to actually eat affectively :).

It ain't hard to find loot when you know where the secret military base is :D

The following story just happened about 10 or so mins ago :D So I spawned in near some train tracks, with a bright light shining on me, i step back and find a new spawn right in front of me! I tell him im friendly and after looking shortly around I spot a road. I say to him,"Wanna go follow this road and see if theres a town near by? He doesnt say anything so I just walk down the road and tell him to follow me. We soon find a shopping center at a gas station so I tell him ," Lets go check it out". we enter the shopping center and at the back of it we find a shovel and a fire extinguisher. I pick up the shovel and lead him over to the fire extinguisher. I say ,"Press TAB and drag the fire extinguisher in your inventory, you can use it as a weapon." So he does just that and we follow the road. About 5 minuets later the road abruptly ends, I say we can climb this nearby hill and see if we can spot anything". So we climb the hill and once we reach the top we see nothin but forest. I say to him, "well this sucks, I guess we should just go back the way we came, we must be at the edge of the map, probs near kamenka." this is where things get interesting. So shortly after walking down the road again we spot another new spawn, i say," Hey man! Come over and join the survivor party!." He doesnt respond at first and takes a few steps back. I then say to him," If you like you can come with us down this road to see if we can find a town or something to scavenge, just dont head on the right of the road because its the end of the world, we learned it the hard way." So our group of three heads down the road with all our flashlights creating a massive light as we walk cautiously to where we see kamenka the town! I lead them into the first two houses and we begin to continue down the road when suddenly we see 2 more pairs of flash lights come out of the dark, I say." Hey guys, were friendly just passin through scavenging!" They dont respond but just stare and slighty move around as we do. Then I say," Where gonna head down this road and check outsome more houses, wanna come?" So now our group of five heads down the road. only about 1 minuet later, 2 more people show up- but one of them doesnt hold a flashlight but instead holds her 2 fists in the air. Instinctively, we all back up. I say to her," Hey hey hey! Lower your fists! were all friendly here. Aparently, she didnt get the memo. She comes at my first friend that i met in the beggining and takes a swing at him. "gah" I say and pull out my shovel ready to defend all of us from the attacker, I hit her twice and she backs off, my friend takes out his fire extinguisher and I tell the others without anything to shine your flashlights at her, the fight didnt last long after that. Our teamwork went out perfectly, and we gave the finishing smack of a fire extinguisher to the bandit. We all crowd around her body and check her corpse. Suddenly one of the new members of our group pulls out a fire extinguisher and starts bashing everyone. Now everyone was confused and started attacking each other not knowing who was the real bandit, I yell in direct,"EVERYONE STOP FIGHTING!". They all stop and lower their weapons. I tell them, "all of you are bleeding. Drag your shirt to the box on the left in your inventory then right click and select bandages" I watch as everyone bandages themself. then i spot the culprit, the man in the white shirt with the fire extinguisher was peeking from behind a house! I tell everyone to shine their light at them and i charge forth and beat the bandit to a pulp. now, I gather everyone, and we finaly prepare to leave kamenka. We walk for a few minuets, with only five of us left. Then it hits me, pew I hear a mosin naget shot and its game over. im dead.
